Progression was really lacking in FH5. My biggest bugbear was that it threw good cars at you immediately.

Huh funny yesterday people were adamant that Sarah and Phil weren’t pushed.

There will be no pivot away from multiplatform. No matter what dreamland people are in.

As good as it was when it wasn’t on GP.

It being on GP doesn’t change the game.

That’s definitely a statement of someone who was pushed.

It’s a shame to see how Phil slowly vanished. I wasn’t his biggest fan but he deserved better.

Less surprised about Sarah leaving too.

GP has stagnated, console sales have dropped, prices up massively, foray into handheld hasn’t taken that area by storm. Unsurprising there was a desire for change.

You could see his presence vanishing over the last year or more.

I don’t know anything about the new lady, but as it’s from AI it doesn’t feel like the best appointment out there.

Kcd2 is a great addition - premium really feels like the worthwhile tier.

This is why next gen is in the balance (for both companies) what the hell is it going to cost?

They may not be MS size, but they are big enough to know what makes them the most money. And that is them buying timed exclusives.

Literally this week Xbox has a timed exclusive on starsand island.

Sure you can argue diffences in some of the game sizes. But you can guarantee if MS had Sonys install base they would do the same.

Next week they will be selling their Pro and all in on Xbox despite selling their X 3 or 4 times.

The wind changes direction less.

Bound to be some 3rd party stuff. But I’m not so sure there will be many ‘big’ reveals even 3rd party stuff. I have a feeling this one is more going to show updates to known games.

It’s going to affect Sony/MS and steam box.

We know this already as the rumours a few months ago were that Sony had enough stock to last the short term. Whereas they said MS haven’t.

MS are using their buying power for AI. Not Xbox. This is why there are potentially delays incoming for next gen for all 3 (if we include steam box).

The ram prices will make it unaffordable for mass market. MS were already looking at a ‘premium’ box prior to this.

It may cost money to upgrade chips etc.

But you release a brand new premium console/pc box at the height of prices - one that is already slated to be expensive- and it just won’t sell anyway costing millions.

Honestly delaying all around makes sense. For both of the companies.

This is just the data on what we already know. There’s been what 3 games in last week or so cancelled/not getting an Xbox version.

It’s a reality most knew and predicted.

@FraserG I believe the Ren & Stimpy game is also absent from Xbox. Limited run games again. - could potentially be more that they have data that the ports aren’t worth it financially for them?

Would have been interesting to see the sales figures of the add on disk drive with the breakdown (obviously can’t for Xbox)

@themightyant don’t forget the 50% GPU price increase - just to access your DLC.

And by the time the second DLC actually arrives it could well be even higher than £23/$30 a month.

There was 2 strong games. A what looks like a 7/10 and then the multiplayer that I fear is doomed already because who is the target for that? Besides people trying it on GP for 30mins.

Thankfully the 2 big guns both look really good

Where is Phil these days? Hasn’t said anything around the dev diary and he usually does.

I think games that started development (or were early in development) at the decision to go multiplatform from the original 4, will start to release day and date.

FH6 would have been day and date on ps5 but it was further in development. Hence now only a 6 month delay and not a year aka avowed etc.

2 of the 3 announced yesterday were day and date.

I really really hope this is true and implemented properly.

That’s what people are questioning. - (we know they do this early access upgrade)

50% increase, ontop of a 50% increase to GPU.

And wanting to charge £80 for games.

Where is it ending?

£60 upgrade and £23 a month to play it.

I don’t understand this huge U turn by Xbox to go from the cheapest way to game to the most expensive.

They wanted to charge £80 for Outer worlds 2 ( or whatever game it was) and had to back track but feels like they are testing the water of a price increase on a more popular game.

It genuinely feels like MS want to do away with the ultimate tier and day one promises.

The upgrade price is mental.

Are MS trying to force people to not sub to GP ultimate? Lots of stuff comes to premium and ultimate just seems to get more expensive with all the upgrades etc etc.

I enjoy the format, it works well, even for games I’m not as interested in.
