@Ricky-Spanish people aren’t allowed a discussion? Does it hurt you so much that people can discuss it? That MS messaging is terrible? The article is updated and includes the statement.
If the rumours were that GPU was going to increase to $30 a month - would you have believed them? Probably not as most wouldn’t. But guess what it happened.
It shows how out of touch MS can be with the average gamer.
We don’t want more crap and a more expensive subscription. Everything in the world is expensive and going up, so why would people want to spend more on a subscription? It’s one of the easiest things to cancel or downgrade if you are struggling financially. It’s not a necessity.
@BAMozzy but the data is showing that even across more games gamers are spending less hours playing on an Xbox than gamers playing on other platforms. - and however you try to defend it and talk nonsense.
The information (if true and correct) can also show to developers that people are less likely to spend time in their game and potentially micro transactions if it’s included on any sub service.
@Kaloudz because it’s absolutely tone deaf that what 2 weeks after sacking around 9000 staff for a bigger push to fund AI, tell their ex staff to use AI to get over it, they then use an AI image that isn’t even done right.
If you can’t see the negatives in that then honestly there’s no helping.
He’s totally right with the last part, and it’s certainly something Xbox has been guilty of in the past.
They always used to announce games far too early. (Even recently look at blade)
Regarding the 7-10yr cycle - do you keep throwing good money after bad potentially? Or with it going straight to a sub service is it better to have more releases for it?
If it’s only $0.6b in the US for every sub then I’m now doubting the $500m per month claim of GP that people use.
US is by far the biggest Xbox market. So even if it was 50% of that total Gamepass (it’s certainly not that by any stretch) they would still need to be finding $200m from rest of the world so seems a stretch.
Consoles sales are terrible for the biggest market too - but software is doing good.
(Again I think as a product GP is ‘profitable’ but MS are very good at hiding costs elsewhere - as any business should)

Re: Talking Point: How Do You Feel About Ubisoft+ Classics Being Added To Game Pass Ultimate?
Most of the games are old
So I’d remove both.
Charge $25 for ultimate and include all first party DLC
Re: Microsoft Set To Announce 'Free' Xbox Cloud Gaming Tier With Ads
So ads will be coming to gamepass then.
Re: Xbox Ditches Majority Of Its Game Pass DLC Discounts As Part Of Service Revamp
Said it elsewhere.
But MS first party games should have DLC included in ultimate.
Re: Xbox Fan Shares Their Concept For A Game Pass 'Select' Plan With Optional Add-Ons
@themightyant
Problem too is that PsPlus has Ubisoft classics too so if you sub to both it becomes useless on Xbox.
And don’t forget £20+ ‘early access’ £20+ dlc.
Ultimate would make more sense if they included all future dlc on MS first party releases.
Re: PSA: You Can Still Get Xbox Game Pass Ultimate For $19.99 Right Now
Be warned that MS can cancel these at any time with very short notice. (And have done in the past iirc)
If you buy them redeem them instantly

Re: Poll: What Are Your Plans For Xbox Game Pass After This Week's News?
I’ve got till December on ultimate then I’ll be downgrading to whatever the £11 tier is. (Depending on what games are on there).
People are cancelling and downgrading - the page to do so yesterday was down and people were having trouble getting through.
Re: Xbox Game Pass Premium May Be The Best-Value Tier Right Now, With Almost 50 Games Added
Should point out here 28 of those listed are PC only.
So that tempers the value on console.
Re: Xbox Game Pass Is Getting A Major Overhaul With New Names, Games & Price Changes
@Banjo- the ratio has indeed changed.
Re: Xbox Game Pass Is Getting A Major Overhaul With New Names, Games & Price Changes
Just thinking.
Not only is it a huge jump. They will still try and fleece more money by selling it 5 day early access.
If it’s going to $30 I think that first party games should then include any DLC
Re: Xbox Game Pass Is Getting A Major Overhaul With New Names, Games & Price Changes
@ilyn everyone with half a brain knew they removed all the costs. It was only those who defend every decision MS make that believe otherwise.
Re: Xbox Game Pass Is Getting A Major Overhaul With New Names, Games & Price Changes
@Coletrain I agree £2 rise now and then you can stomach it.
But it’s a 50% rise.
And if you want CoD or any day 1 you have to have the highest tier.
Re: Xbox Game Pass Is Getting A Major Overhaul With New Names, Games & Price Changes
Sorry but that price rise is disgusting in one go. £22.99 now. With no yearly discount purchases etc.
And right after they put up console prices and a 1k handheld?
What is going on at Xbox?
To think it used to be the cheapest place to game. That’s gone now.
Obviously people will come and defend it.
Re: Sarah Bond Says Fans Will Soon Be Able To Play PlayStation Studios Games On An Xbox Device
@FraserG what is the news of gp price rises?
Seeing on Reddit ultimate is going $20. -$30
£22.99 in UK.
Reported on windows central.
Re: Rumour: Microsoft & ASUS Wanted To 'Further Subsidise' The Price Of The ROG Xbox Ally
@ButterySmooth30FPS I believed it was around 6million. With the majority being Steamdeck.
I believe the Xbox branding will help push this above things like the legion go/ other Asus products.
Re: Talking Point: So, Did You End Up Pre-Ordering The ROG Xbox Ally?
Removed
Re: Rumour: Microsoft & ASUS Wanted To 'Further Subsidise' The Price Of The ROG Xbox Ally
@Cikajovazmaj I agree.
It may not be for me, but I think they will become ‘next best’ seller after Steamdeck.
Re: Rumour: Microsoft & ASUS Wanted To 'Further Subsidise' The Price Of The ROG Xbox Ally
Let’s be realistic.
If MS had wanted to. They could have subsidised it. They have the money to do it etc
But they chose not to for whatever reason. I suspect because they are only going to sell a couple of million so not worth it.
Re: ROG Xbox Ally Prices Finally Revealed, Pre-Orders Now Live
@cburg not really an apple to apple comparison there is it.
It would be like someone trying to say a Pro is better because it’s a lot more powerful than an ally. But that would be silly.
I know it’s tough when people want to criticise your favourites but sometimes criticism is ok.

Re: Xbox Is Offering A Discount On Refurbished Consoles In The UK Right Now
Only £40 off for refurb? Still bonkers price.
Almost as bad as Sonys new ‘reward’ offer
Re: Borderlands 4 Sales Figures Impress As Take-Two Makes Over $150 Million
I thought we don’t trust alienea because they aren’t reliable at all
Re: Microsoft Announces New Price Increases For Xbox Series X|S In The US
Some crazy pricing right here.
You got to start fearing for the handheld prices right?
Re: Dying Light: The Beast Comparison Shows Difference Between Xbox Series X And Series S
@RiverGenie not sure if you read it but PushSquare review mentions pitch black nights so I’d say it’s going to be very dark!
Re: These 13 Games Are Coming To Xbox Game Pass (September 17 - October 7)
Frostpunk 2 for me.
Hope it runs good on console
Re: Opinion: The Value Proposition Of Xbox Series S Is Better Than Ever In 2025
I love my series S worked perfectly fine. No regrets at all in buying one. I paid £180 for it new.
But sorry it’s value has tailed off in 25, the price rises to £300 (albeit with bigger storage) have made it a tougher sell.
Re: Helldivers 2 Sales Estimates Suggest It's Selling Extremely Well On Xbox
But everyone on this site says don’t believe this analytic company.
Re: Alinea Analytics Says Gears Reloaded Is Tracking Well Behind Forza Horizon 5 On PS5
@Medic_alert it’s funny because when this company praises MS sales, nobody on here questions them.
Re: Poll: How Would You Grade Gamescom Opening Night Live 2025?
Honestly it was lousy. Far too long and far too much waffle and filler.
Re: Talking Point: So, Are You Buying Mafia: The Old Country On Xbox At Its $50 Price Point?
Interested in seeing reviews first these days.
Re: Xbox Introduces Controversial Age Verification Process In The UK
Guess I’ll just keep avoiding multiplayer where possible.
Not giving my data to 3rd party American companies (as this is where most of the verification is going)
Might be a crap hill to die on. But I’ll hold out as long as reasonable possible (and no not just consoles)
Re: Microsoft CEO Comments On Recent Xbox Layoffs, Doubles Down On AI
@1nightonly so you aren’t bothered that the lay offs contributed to studios closing, games being cancelled etc.
How does that help you consume video games. Surely it means you will consume less of them?
Re: Microsoft CEO Comments On Recent Xbox Layoffs, Doubles Down On AI
Apart from probably the Ubisoft owners. Is this guy up there with the most out of touch person out there?
Or as always will the usual defend it.
Re: Xbox Game Pass Contributed To 'An All-Time High' For Subscription Spending Last Month (US)
Considering that Switch2 sold 1.8 consoles.
And Xbox 95k, (4th in a 3 horse race).
Most common observation would be that this month the switch 2 release is what grew subscription spending the most.
Re: Xbox Game Pass RPG Wuchang: Fallen Feathers Is Off To An Incredible Start On PC
Let me guess it will count on Xbox unlike black myth player numbers.
But good to see it doing well.
I will be trying in a few patches
Re: Microsoft Reverts Price Increase For The Outer Worlds 2, Will Launch For $70 On Xbox
It’s good they backtracked.
But shows the pre order numbers would be extremely low. - there’s no chance they would do it otherwise.
Re: Forza Horizon 5 Is Seemingly The Best-Selling New PS5 Game Of 2025 So Far
@FarmDog08 it’s only the best seller of 2025.
This by the same analytics firm that everyone on PX derided when they announced low sales numbers for ff16. - but positive news has to be true.
Re: No Rest For The Wicked May Skip Xbox 'For The Time Being' Due To 'Current Market Conditions'
They know the numbers of what sells and where.
Very funny that everyone was saying MS are right to stop doing films and tv shows.
But when a game chooses to skip the console it’s ‘f them’ and so on.
Such double standard
Re: Microsoft Movies & TV Is Officially Ending, Which Will Have A Big Impact On Xbox
It’s just another sucky thing for someone who has built up a library of movies on Xbox.

Pretty sure mindseye would have done better too if it didn’t realise f***ed

Re: Roundup: Here's What The Reviews Are Saying About RoboCop: Rogue City - Unfinished Business
Fo you guys not really do reviews anymore? I notice they are getting few and far between.
It’s a shame as it’s often good to read between yourselves and push.

Re: Xbox Is Using The Most Ridiculous AI Image To Advertise New Jobs
And still people can’t criticise MS when it’s deserved.
Re: Xbox Is Using The Most Ridiculous AI Image To Advertise New Jobs
lol. Just lol.
Nothing else needs saying.
Re: ASUS Seems To Have Accidentally Leaked The ROG Xbox Ally Prices (In Europe)
So everything as expected then.
Should add that is expensive for top model. If you are an Xbox only user you can get any combo of - steam deck/s2/ps5 for same price.
