They said they had issues so just need to respect that - hopefully rather than them half assing it they release BMW in a good state, the delay would be worth it and Xbox players can enjoy it

I said it in the previous article that I don’t believe MS need any of these. I don’t think there is huge money to be made in what uni would let go

(I don’t think farcry AC and probably the division/rainbow six stuff will be sold)

That said something like riders republic/trials/steep because it’s something that MS do not have in their stable.

It would have to be on GP as it wouldn’t sell (it quickly dropped in price on PS).

Overall is it worth the effort from all sides? Probably not.

They wouldn’t be allowed to buy Ubisoft as a whole (not that they would want to).

I also think MS are in a perfectly good place studio wise that they don’t really need anything in the Ubisoft stable.

They have plenty of varied IP and stuff in the back catalogue that could be brought back to life.

Yes because I’d trust just eat drivers with a £500 console.

Steam is often cheaper. So how will that work in MS favour? Especially as there were the rumours of game prices going up with the likes of gta.

Or will MS just stop selling actual games and just provide gamepass.

Will be interesting to see what comes. More importantly is the price. Considering the 2025 handheld is rumoured to be $500 and not play console games.

Putting it sub £200 isn’t exactly rare. I gout mine for £180.

But it’s all good and well saying do this/that and we have no idea how the game will actually run.

Let’s see where we are at in 30mpnths time when it will be roughly due.

Specs? Price (trump will still be in office). Who knows how the world will be. Maybe streaming will be in a better spot by then?

@Weebleman yeah last week or so we have them talking about specs just signed off, CoD going to previous Gen.

Then suddenly it’s a new console next year.

Next year imo only makes sense if GTA is delayed. Because then it would be ‘best place to play’. If not people have already bought their consoles for it this winter,

@Fiendish-Beaver but by that logic, releasing a year earlier than Sony (while everything is still cross gen) would mean Sony would just beat MS specifications a year later.

Because they would know what’s in the console (just as MS do with Sony kit) that’s why they always end up pretty similar in terms of performance.

Is releasing early going to tempt enough of the 30million to upgrade to a new console?

@Kezelpaso argos is location specific. I’m NW England. No stock nearby.

No stock on major online retailers either - stuff like shopto, gamecollection.

@themightyant most recent figures said it was around 80% on console. (MS well known for hiding figures)

GPU isn’t growing at any sort of big numbers (latest financials show this) they only reported growth in PC GP.

So logic would dictate that majority of users are still on console.

@HonestHick I’ve enjoyed it so far, but my initial ‘hype’ has definitely lowered.

Either way there’s a great platform to build from for a second entry.

Glad it has done well for them. Personally the more I’m playing it the more the original gloss is wearing off. Still enjoying it and will finish my play through.

It’s a nice world. But it’s a very very shallow world. Has graphical bugs during cutscenes (series S) to name a few.

But the dev wants to do more in the world so there’s an excellent base to build upon and improve. - and as it’s sold well etc there’s more chance of a sequel

AI is coming. Regardless of what people want.

It’s going to bring a lot of job losses with it too - not just at MS.

@MonsterMike you can spend quite a length of time each and every day to complete the quests to get points - it used to be very quick but it now takes far longer - and you can get ‘streaks’ to increase the rewards.

But nowadays and with the price increase it’s honestly not worth the time

If you have points to spend. Buy the 3month for 35k while it’s there. I got them yesterday still.

That’s going to hit 50k for 3months (if it sticks to current formula).

Point farming is pretty much well gone now. I think we will see conversion trick finish tgis year. And I predict a price rise by end of June.

I already owned it on ps, but if you are into crpg I can not recommend this highly enough.

I prefer the less cluttered PS screen. But the Xbox one works well.

It’s an 8 but it’s not a bad 8. Based on early impressions I’m enjoying it as I knew I would. But playing on series S you can tell there’s a few issues.

But yeah I’ll be playing till completion I would wager!

@Weebleman been saying it for ages that there will be a GP with just the first party stuff in Sony/nintendo.

Sony/Nintendo would still get their cut. MS can still offer an ultimate version on their own platform

@fatpunkslim you do realise that during MS shows they often stopped any mention of it coming to Sony/Nintendo for upto 48hrs after showing the trailer.

Both companies can do ***** things. Both do timed exclusivity. And it’s fine to admit that. You don’t have to defend every decision.

@fatpunkslim it’s most likely because this strategy has only just been decided upon (most likely after seeing how well the original 4 games sold).

MS can’t just magically make the games appear day 1, that were already announced/working on. it will probably start to change going forward with future releases, when the showcases start announcing next years games etc.

They’ve already also decided that going forward MS games will show their branding.

@Kaloudz avowed was never going to score highly. The devs have admitted it has jank. - reviewers won’t give that top marks - whereas a player is more likely to look past it.

But instead of just accepting 8 is a good score (and Infact right around other obsidian games) people try to make up excuses.

For me this 8 will be better than the 10 of Indy.

@themightyant I always try and go in as blind as possible, just skim reviews if it’s a game I know is for me

yeah I expected around 80-85. Might only be an 80, but for me it will be more enjoyable than Indy that scored (deservedly) high.

I don’t understand why people were expecting higher, the dev openly admitted it had jank etc, it was never going to get huge scores. But obviously it’s the Xbox tax and Sony have paid for these scores!
