Talking Point: Xbox Fans, How Are You Getting On With Microsoft Rewards In 2026?

I have over 300,000 reward points, been saving them for years now. The past 2 years has been rough going, Microsoft has made it so you make less and less points which sucks.

It's not as great as it once was but it's still really good and I still get around 17,000 a month.

I haven't hunted points like others, but still my lifetime is 702,248, which equals a considerable amount of money. I always use them for Xbox credit, so I turned auto-redeem on, because for a little while it was a better deal. Now it's the same deal, I think. I haven't paid for many games, so I can't complain! Balance now is 7,688, so I have redeemed 694,560 points.

I earn like 5 points a day because I don't have GP. When I did I used to have it I'd get about 300 a week I'd say.

Currently have just over 17k but two day ago cashed in 30k points to get Borderlands 4 for free 😁

It’s literally the only reason I ever use Bing at all, for the points. I try to get all the searches done as fast as possible so I don’t have to have any more of that copilot trash shoved in my face, then go back to other better search engines. I realize there are other ways to earn lots of points, like gamepass related stuff, but I buy-to-own not pay-to-rent and don’t bother with that aspect. When the points become not worth it any longer, I’ll drop Bing and Microsoft rewards like a flaming bag of dog crap.

I have 500,000+ (so over CAD$700), I was saving for the next Gen console, but with expected price inflation I'm not sure what to do. It's a double whammy of price inflation & points deflation. I mean Microsoft is sure to Nerf the conversion ratio to gift card again before Helix launches.

I was thinking I might just have to redeem for a Series X, at least it's an appreciating asset! I don't need two Series X, but anyhow I see series X sold out here in Microsoft Canada. So it's either digital Series X or Series X 2TB Galaxy black model. I guess I could keep the 2TB galaxy black model & sell my Series X next year (after even more price increases...🤪)

I used get enough points to have £5 each month but lately my outo- redeem fails to complete. Perhaps I should do a bit more points hunting. 😁

I keep forgetting about them but have made more of an effort in the last couple of months and have about 12,000 now. Should have a nice little discount for GTAVI by the time it releases

Have anyone got any tips my account have been on suspension since Dec I can earn point on search and games but every time I try to use my point I get this oops! Issues with account contact support I have about 40 times tickets I been getting ai replay about Any restrictions should be automatically lifted once the system recognizes consistent improvement in search habits. Any ideals about how to fix it I try all the way that online have said

10 minutes a day to earn £15 worth a month, spend it in the sales and DLC.

It's gotten worse, but it's still worth it. I'm tracking very close to 10k a month in earnings and have 57k saved up.
Unless something on my wishlist goes on sale and it usually doesn't, I'll keep saving for Black Friday and Christmas sales.
Otherwise, I have stuff like the DLCs for Force Unleashed that I want to get and I've never seen them on sale

I really value the service and get great use out of it!
I get more points now than ever with how it works so for me it's basically 9/10.
I don't do all the bing stuff just Xbox related ones and Xbox app and I get just over five euro back every month maybe a bit more!
While still getting ultimate for €16.99 a month if not cheaper because of European laws it's going good for me with the rewards😊

@carlos82 Exactly what I'm doing wouldn't save up reward points for just any aul game.
By the time it comes out I'll have a healthy Chunk gone of it thanks to reward points!

I’ve had almost 700,000 lifetime points and currently have 52,500+ which I’m saving towards GTA 6.

I just get what I get these days. I don’t hunt them or anything. It’s still nice getting a free month of GP now and then.

Honestly it’s not worth chasing. I can just do 30 minutes overtime once a month and earn more in less time.

Too many hoops to jump through, too many vague requirements, unintuitive and over complicated dashboard, very obvious nerfs over and over. I bet just before Helix comes out they'll say something like 'we have decided to discontinue redemptions for MS store products, thank you for your understanding'
