Because it’s the exact same game that’s been out ages? Theres nothing different about the gamepass version?

Never needed a card on Series S nor PS5. I just delete things. Absolutely 0 need to have masses of games installed at once.

Dropped to premium at the minute and I’m perfectly happy with what that offers.

People really do need to stop being so pathetic.

Id have been more surprised had they not increased considering season 2 of the show was out.

It’s just proof that good games sell.

Ps5 was lacking this type of game and FH is best in class at it.

I think it would be a shame for them to focus straight on another hellblade.

Premium is starting to show its value. Which is good.

I always like the look of 8bitdo stuff, but I’ve found the quality to be terrible.

Bought 2 of the ones for disabled gamers and both got returned. Both with stick drift out of the box, and the second also had terrible input lag to go along with it!

So I’m avoiding their stuff now.

Xbox down 39% PS 12% (both UK only) not really a sharp decline.

Approx sales of 270-300k Xbox. Ps5 8-900k. So 3:1 outsold…

And the UK is one of the bigger Xbox markets.

All this without Europe where stocks have basically disappeared in many countries.

Rumours of the US being as much as 70% down.

But yes that possible 100-200k from a 3rd party handheld really makes up for it I guess?

Most expensive place to play, price rise after price rise, mixed messages, games everywhere. Milking the currents users while not enticing new ones.

It’s becoming a sad state of affairs. I think it’s becoming clear that MS can chase Xbox money in AI ventures instead, and just focus on software and using AI to churn out said software.

@Hern4ndeZzz but that new Xbox is going to be a minimum of $1000 - 1200 (judging by most estimates) do you think those casual Series S users will upgrade to it? Probably not if people are being honest.

April fools is a little early this year.

When you are trying to argue that the console isn’t their focus and an even more niche lower selling 3rd party product is more a focus - well that’s spin.

Thats a 7:1 ratio to PS over last 12months (4:1 year before) so people are buying consoles.

It’s a shame, it used to be the cheapest way to game. And the pivot is rapidly turning to the most expensive.

So again what is it that’s causing people not to buy Microsoft?

I think this year has just been a ‘perfect storm’ of things against CoD. Normally has a free run of shooters at this time of year. - Except it now has BF6 arc raider HD2 etc

Usually has a serviceable campaign mode - this year it’s been poor by those standards.

It’s gone BO6 to 7.same series and It’s a follow up to a game that had lots of bad received skins etc.

There’s the obvious GPU price rise.

Theres the no Sony big advertising budget - honestly the adverts in the UK were just weird.

But as you say hopefully its made MS realise it needs some big improvements, and while it’s not a game of my personal choice its a shame to see how it’s falling and fast.

The physical version is sub £40 in smyths/curry’s in the UK.

@BrownOwl truthfully while you are right to a degree, the upcoming months will see more people drop it due to the fact they will start seeing Microsoft £23/$30 on their bank statements.

That’s when more families etc will realise. MS really need to bring out a yearly pass. The conversion method is just a faff.

Both can be true. And the fact that BO7 has struggled since release (relatively speaking to other CoD) shows that too. There’s been no big pats on the back X posts to congratulate how it’s sold/played.

Reads to me that they are going back to previous years. Of BO one year, MW another. Rather than back to back BO.

There’s more than Dave the diver. There’s FF16, Death Stranding, silent hill. All big games that still did poorly on a shadow drop. Alongside all the other smaller yet well received games doing poor.

My point being that shadow drops may sound cool and all but actually don’t do very well.

Im surprise MS is sticking to this shadow drop tactic considering it isn’t turning into sales.

Sales are down, players are down not even MS have put out much of a statement (you know the usual #1 in hours/players etc). Of course it will still sell well!

I think they need to do the F1 thing and skip a year. Give the teams some breathing space. Let them see what they can come up with more time.
