Because it has potential to be damaging and why would they allow a developer to basically bad mouth the console in public? Yet still want the game on the platform (besides obviously money).

As I said above I think it will come to Xbox, probably within first half of year. It’s just again a mess when it comes to messaging from MS.

@Sol4ris to be fair two of those mentioned are first party, and the other has made games previously (it also released a mess) and didn’t focus on ps5 too!

End of the day the developers have said from day 1 that it was an issue with optimisation with the S. they haven’t hidden this fact. Ever.

It’s their first game, so obviously they have had issues and that’s fine. It happens. First games often have issues. They didn’t give a BS excuse around it.

It doesn’t even run perfect on ps5/pc. So imagine how it would be on the S!

Phil’s comment was never helpful - but he wasn’t going to come out and say it was a hardware problem.

@Cakefish it’s a numbers thing.

They are hitting the limit of GPU subscribers on console (I believe last figures said console made up over 50% of gp users).

So they give more to PC gamers to try and sway them away from steam etc as PC is more than likely a faster growing area for gamepass

The analysis figures just don’t make sense.

3 consoles are currently selling. (Yes one has to be the best, one ends up 3rd) so why would they suddenly drop off a cliff?

We are going/just gone through a financial crisis and Covid yet consoles are still selling well. So what’s happening in the next 3years that’s going to change this? People now have digital libraries built up that they are going to want to access too.

After reading their ‘analysis’ there is nothing of substance in it to explain why they came to this decision either.

I don’t think Sony would have held Fromsoft games from other platforms (well I’d like to hope they wouldn’t) especially as they did it before with bungee.

I get it. They realised they can make more money by releasing everywhere.

They are now just figuring out whether to release day 1 or with a delay.

I’m not going to quit Xbox after coming back but I’ll potentially not buy the next console. I will just sub to GP over cloud when games release. (Hopefully cloud is in a better state in a couple of years).

@Real_game_passion I get it in a way. Right now you need to be multiplatform to access all games.

But if they are coming to PS, you can just focus one console to build your digital library. You no longer have to spread it. Then you can just sub to GP for a month or 2 over a fire stick etc.

I don’t personally trust Jez.

But MS now have data on where and what is making them the most money. (Hence seeing some day 1,some 6month later)

MS didn’t become so big by caring about their consumer, they did it by following the money. And thats their choice.

I don’t think it’s going to be a huge seller on any platform.

But the dev has been upfront and honest about it so good on them.

MS didn’t get so massive by caring about their users but by what will make them the most money.

Fair play to them for that.

Regarding Sony release, I think they are trying to work out which makes the most money. Day 1 gp/sony or day 1 gp and Sony 6month later

@Millionski I think currently MS are testing which way brings the most money/subs.

Is it better to delay ps5 for 6month to boost GP sales, or is it better to sell ps5 day 1?

The ‘early access’ version was the finished game and available world wide.

MS/ubisoft/Sony or whoever can try spin it anyway they like. But it’s marketing nonsense.

Whatever is announced in general we will all be disappointed with the show. As we usually are.

It’s been solid.

Few lean months, few good months. Pretty much what you get from any subscription.

Last couple of months have been very good.

Biggest disappointment is how long it is taking to get many of the back catalogue games out from Abk - but they are starting to show.

Devs are doing a great job with the patches.

Deserve all the praise they are getting

@Medic_alert that’s not an Xbox thing, you will see that with any game that does it.

But the PC specs are very beefy, so where a few days ago I was confident it would be good on series S. now I’m slightly more hesitant.

You only have to read the comments here that Xbox gamers don’t want the Sony ‘walking sims’ - that is until they get similar on Xbox like hellblade, Indy and DS.

But Sony has a different issue to MS, (with parity) Sony would HAVE to get the games running on the S. and Sony would want it to their standards is this part worth the effort?

I much prefer track racers over say horizon but I struggled with fm when it first came out and I haven’t gone back. I should at some point but then something else just comes along

I’m looking forward to reviews, the PC specs are extremely beefy (seems like RT is on by default) so hoping they are working magic to get it running well on console and my S

@RiverGenie I’m not bothered what game it is, the headline made it sound like there was 7 games being added (not pure Xbox fault) when in reality it’s 1.

I think MS should announce them all separately so no confusion, no questions to be asked. Make it simple.

I dislike the way MS announce game pass titles now. They need to split the announcements up.

3 patches in 7 days or so really show that the devs are trying hard. To fix the issues they admitted to.

As far as most estimates used to go there was a good chunk lost on hardware for MS. Plus R&D staffing etc if they can get similar sub numbers on other platforms like fire stick then it becomes more likely.

@NostromoXP PJ waited and played some with the day 1 patch. Eurogamer also waited for day 1 patch and didn’t score it much higher.

When do we wait till? A year after release when everything is sorted? 4years to re review cyberpunk now it’s done?
