I wanted to see if mgs4 was gonna be apart of it. But alas, its not.
I'll probably buy the first one as a stand alone, unless there is a dramatic difference between the 360 versions(2 and 3) and this new one.

Getting rid of older games, for the monthly is cool. But instead of adding something, get rid of xbox live gold, as well. Make that whole tier free. Pile on Sony, while you can. Start advertising:

• Ms has the cheapest AND the most powerful consoles
• price hasn't risen, yet
• gamepass
• free online play and cloud saves, for everyone online

I agree, that a external disc drive would be a great accessory for the series s.

Elden ring was the first game I pre-ordered, digitally, on xbsx. Got some points from a punch card and had some leftover reward points.

But yeah, I normally wait for sales. Game prices drop so quickly, sometimes. I went through my games and found tlou2, resident evil 2 remake and some others, still wrapped in plastic. So ive learned to wait, play my backlog and beat some games, til the price drops.

@Krysus 🤣🤣🤣good to know I'm not the only one. I have the bluetti portable power station(268wh), with a portable monitor(15", 30w), and the ps4 hooked up to it for outdoor adventures, as well. Lasts me about 3.5hrs. #GamingOnTheGo

It's all subjective, to the individual. Hence why we have options to begin with. Some may want better resolution, others may want higher framerate. We should forsake the many, for the whims of a few? Sorry some have to take the extra time to make a decision, but I think it's better now.

Runs and plays great on the steam deck.

Looks generic and by the numbers.
Over the top bracers and shoulder pads? Check. Robots and cyborgs? Check.
Guns and swords? Check.
Insurmountable odds and giant bosses? Check.
Deep gravely masculine voice spouting something stupid? "..just reload". Check.

If its F2P, that's good. At least people can try it for free or outright ignore it, upon release.

Hard to say. One was original and fun and nerve wracking. The second let you play as a big daddy and go outside rapture. The third was a new environment.

It's all about the monies. If it's enough, it'll be a part of gp. If it's too much, it won't.

Not emulating on the deck, but enjoying SoD2 and sunset overdrive. Either aren't verified, but play perfectly well at high settings.

Hopefully the performance is up to par, on the handhelds. Would love to have this on the go, natively.

Enough about arguing over which billion dollar company is the underdog here, less than 5 days for Midnight Fight Express. The anticipation is at an all time high.

To have a definitive "GOTY" is hard to decide. Are we going by what sold the most? What got the best scores, across the board? What game we, as individuals, played the most? Etc. Also, there should be multiple GOTYs. GOTY for shooters, arpgs, platformers, racers, etc.

Immortals fenyx rising feels and plays like a zelda botw-lite, which isnt a bad thing. The humor is subjective. I enjoyed it.
Looking forward to midnight fight express. Getting some oldschool beat'em up vibes from it.

Gamepass ultimate costs me less than $30 a year, so not too chuffed about the lack of additions. Besides, the games on there are still pretty good and the future looks good. Compared to ps+ tiers, I'd rather have gamepass. Do the people who complain have zero backlog AND beaten every game on gamepass, already?

The xbox insider xcloud program had a "stream your console to your phone/tablet" mode, which allowed you to stream games from your library, already. Is that not a thing anymore?

I feel the ps+ extra crispy tier, not the top one, is a good fit for ps. They don't have day one releases, but their older first party games more than make up for it. As for the tippity top tier, unless you have real nostalgia for the older games, seems a waste. And I say nostalgic because you have to be, in order to play games like syphon filter with its original control scheme.

Okay, I just found out how weird the ps subscription service is.
Ps+ essential gives you cloud saves, online play and free monthly games
Ps+ extra has a library of games you can download
Ps+ essential has a library of games that arent on the other tiers AND streaming
Weird how some games appear on essential but not extra. That would be like having games on gamepass console, be different than the console games in gamepass ultimate.

I bought a series s, like most, because it was all that was available. I was skeptical, at first, even negative. But after quite some time with it, I'm happy to say I have eaten my words. Thoroughly surprised at what you get for $300. I did end up getting a series x, but I use the s quite frequently as my media player and gamepass machine. Especially if a game gives me 60fps on the s.

Hopefully this will make 1080p/60hz the series s standard, with no where to go, but up.

Nevertheless, still impressive for a one man band.

Reviews and opinions are like aceholes, everyone has one and it stinks. If I personally knew the reviewer, I'd still take the review with a grain of salt, let alone taking a stranger's opinion as gospel.

Yeah, I dunno about this, for me. I have a switch for nintendo, i have a steam deck for others, and a cell phone with a razer kishi for emu/xcloud. ANOTHER handheld device and i just couldn't..although I would technically have everything I ever needed to game, games, like a gamer should game.

I'm sure ms is more than willing to accept moneys from Sony for exclusive content. Spec ops? Zombies? Other exclusives? Just pay ms for the privilege 😂😂

@NEStalgia I say the razer kishi is a pretty good controller. Feels like a traditional controller, buttons and triggers feel responsive, sticks feel sturdy, little-to-no input latency. Played many an xcloud game on the old trusty galaxy a20 with that hooked up.

The n64 and its third party controllers have scarred me for life. Seeing a third party controller, with so many extra buttons/toggles/switches brings back bad memories of the madcatz and other shyte.
