Two More 'Day One' Releases Announced For Xbox & PC Game Pass In July 2026

Last weekend, we highlighted a bunch of games that were already confirmed for Xbox Game Pass in July 2026, and we're pleased to say we've had more since then - including two new "day one" releases that have just been announced.

The first release here is The Planet Crafter (July 21), which is a really successful "space survival open world terraforming crafting game" that has an Overwhelmingly Positive rating on Steam based on over 36,000 user reviews. It's never been on Xbox before, but people have been loving it on PC for a couple of years now.

The second game is Fogpiercer (July 17), which is a sci-fi roguelike deckbuilder that's a brand-new release for PC alone. It sees you assembling a train and attempting to make your way through a bandit-infested world.

We'll leave you with more details on both of these games below, and don't forget to check out our big Xbox Game Pass guide for 2026, in which we recently added another July title in the form of Winds of Arcana: Ruination.

Fogpiercer - July 17 (PC)

Fight through the fog in this sci-fi roguelike deckbuilder where clever positioning, explosive chain-reactions, and the environment itself can make the difference between life and death.

The Planet Crafter - July 21 (Xbox Series X|S, PC, Cloud)

Embark on a chill experience alone or with up to 8 friends in online co-op. You are sent on a hostile planet with one mission: Make it habitable for Humans. You'll have to survive, collect resources, build your base, produce machines to heat the planet, create an oxygen-rich atmosphere and eventually geo-engineer an entire planet!
