I think this will increase the value of Xbox Game Pass that already incudes EA games. Xbox will also encourage EA to produce good racing games. I'm kind of surprised Xbox hasn't bought EA outright yet, but maybe they don't need to. I'm kind of hungering for Xbox to buy out Ubisoft and CD Projekt Red to save those companies from their own mismanagement.

Sounds like it's about actually very important stuff. I hope Pure Xbox can do at least a couple of articles on the event. Some of these things might shape gaming for decades.

I'd love PHIL SPENCER and KEANU REEVES as playable characters!

I would like GRETA THUNBERG or DAVID ATTENBOROUGH as a playable character to raise environmental awareness of the climate emergency that is killing our future.

And console wars are dumb. Like the world doesn't have enough divisions without macho jocks fighting others because they think their console is better. I mean really... Surely playing together is better?

I actually don't like exclusives. I think it's a real shame that people are excluded from playing games solely because they aren't rich enough to own another console or gaming system.

Is Valhalla this season's best big game?

I've been hugely enjoying C2077 on my Xbox 1X. Sure there are things that patches will improve like driving. But no way do I personally want a refund.

Changed to NZ no problem. Haven't changed back to UK yet. Have spent about five hours playing Cyberpunk 2077. The game is INCREDIBLE. Really amazing immersion. Surprisingly I haven't encountered any bugs. The combat is hard though. Still this might be the best game ever.

It's amaze but as it's sheets that are stuck on it needs testing to see if it causes the XSX to overheat and degrade.

Short answer is Microsoft hopes Xbox Series S will win the console war. But that would be a bonus. Really Microsoft really badly wants to win the cloud gaming war because that's where the biggest bucks are. Ultimately it's a war not of boxes but of games providing and Microsoft does hope to become the world's best provider of games. So Microsoft won't outcompete Sony, they'll outfox them by leveraging cloud bucks to create the best games. Sony probably will win in straight PS5 versus XSX numbers but Microsoft is playing a different game by competing with Stadia for virgin territory. I expect Stadia to drop out at some point. Google tends to lack staying power for anything that isn't search or language translation.

I think it's great. As Xbox wins on value and power Sony will have to win on game quality and fan service. I think everyone wins. PS5 will be for hard core gamers, Xbox will be more for casual gamers. Everyone can win.

Activision are in the wrong here not Microsoft. Clearly Activision are trying to make more money by forcing people to buy the same game twice. Which is appalling.

Xbox seriously should sell fridges styled as Series X. They would sell. They should explore doing a partnership with Samsung to create these fridges.

I live in UK the main price thing we have here on Xbox that I've seen is a good second hand games retail scene.

But it has also been nice to see Xbox giving UK some love with Forza Horizon 4! ❤️

The only place I see 8K is really going to feature is at exhibitions and events and competitions - where they have the space for the giant screens that 8K requires and can justify it.

I think 8K will mainly be projection TVs and that's still evolving. Still it will be fun when it properly arrives!

PS I didn't order a launch console. I'm waiting for console reviews, mass user tests, and the launch of a Series X in a game themed shell. Above all I'm waiting to get a future proof 4K TV at a good price that can show the full ability of the Series X. Not really worthwhile for me to upgrade from X1X yet. Nevertheless I'm loving the launch and I'm very excited by it. Happy gaming everyone!

I think the talk of scalper bots overrated. It's enough that it's a pandemic so people are home more , it's the first major console launch since March 2017, it's the first new console generation since November 2013, it's the first new console generation with Game Pass, it's the first console launch after Xbox bought Xenimax which turned the heads of huge numbers of people, and far from least it's nearly Christmas. These are each huge demand factors. Together they're a tsunami of demand. No matter what the stock allocation was the launch xbox would have sold out super quickly.

@Xiovanni Nintendo Switch is Region free. That hasn't ruined it for anyone. Instead it has made gaming a lot more affordable for a lot of people. Nintendo don't mind and have not uttered even a peep of protest against it. Nintendo could easily have stopped it or made it harder but they seem happy simply for game sales to rise. It's part of the phenomenal popularity and success of Nintendo Switch.

As the world enters steep recession due to coronavirus affordable entertainment is exactly what billions of people need to get through this nightmare. Xbox understand that with their remarkable Game Pass. Phil Spencer understands that by making sure Xbox continues to be Region free and can play second hand physical games.
