One Mortal Kombat character Ed Boon doesn't want fans to request anymore is himself. Yes, if you were hoping to see the co-creator of the most violent fighting series one day join Sonya Blade, Raiden and co it seems it won't be happening.

This was revealed during an interview on the Twitch live stream FestiGame, when Boon was asked about his strangest fan request. You see, he's not interested in becoming a character in his own fighting series because he doesn't really want people coming up with ways to kill him off.

"'Why don't you put Ed Boon as a fighter in the game?' I never understood why they would ask that. That's such a strange question."

"And I don't think that's ever going to happen either. I don't want people coming up with ways to cut my head off."

Fair enough, really. This isn't the first time a fighting game creator has been asked to add themselves to their own game. In fact, in 2019, Tekken 7 director Katsuhiro Harada went as far as revealing himself as a DLC fighter. In the end, it turned out to be a hilarious April Fool's joke.

Would you like to one day see Ed Boon added to the Mortal Kombat series as a playable guest fighter, even if it is unlikely to happen? Any other characters you would like to see? Leave a comment down below.
