Re: Xbox Game Pass Is Getting A Major Overhaul With New Names, Games & Price Changes

Fishysensei

@Lanmanna
I agree that having to pay to play online is pretty dumb but it's not like I have a choice in the matter if I want to be able to play with my friends and family.
But like I also said, online is the only reason that I, personally, use the service and in that regard, I get what I pay for.
Like, if there was a tier that gave access to online multiplayer and nothing else, I would have jumped to that, no question.

The fact that I can also subscribe to Core for 3 months for less than what 1 month of Ultimate costs is also a huge plus for me.

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (September 6-7)

Fishysensei

This weekend I'll mainly be playing Dragon Quest Monsters: The Dark Prince, Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot and Balatro, all three on Switch.
I will also try to find the time to finally start playing Super Robot Wars Y, also on Switch.
Other than that, I guess the usual Smash Bros. Ultimate hangout with friends is on the cards.
Happy gaming, everyone.

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (August 30-31)

Fishysensei

This weekend I'm mainly going to play Balatro, Salt and Sanctuary and Daemon X Machina alongside the usual Super Smash Bros. Ultimate gathering with my friends.
Might also play some Baldur's Gate III in crossplay if the rest of my party is up for it.
I will probably not play Gears of War: Reloaded this weekend since I will probably be playing it exclusively in split-screen with a friend.
Might continue my co-op playthrough of Dead Space 3 tho.

Re: Microsoft 'Wraps Up' Xbox Series X|S Era As Hardware Chief Teases What's Next

Fishysensei

I heavily disagree with Microsoft already wrapping up this gen.
You'd think that with the pandemic hitting at the start of the gen and all the ***** related to that mess, they would have at least decided to extend the lifespan of Series X by a few more years.
Also, I personally see no real reason to go further beyond the tech in the PS5 and Series X.
I'd much rather see them focusing on actually releasing games instead of going "Look how powerful this thing is!" and at the same time closing studios left and right.

I probably will not buy Microsoft's next proper home console given that I am satisfied with my Series X and I don't really want to pay even more for a new Xbox than I paid for that one.

Re: Ready Or Not Gets Massive New Update, Adds Support For Xbox Play Anywhere

Fishysensei

Pretty good game but they really need to patch the AI behavior because currently the suspects can simply ignore reacting to getting shot aswell as being able to see, react to the player and one-shotting the player seemingly whenever they want, regardless of equipped weapon and regardless of distance.
It was a real pain to deal with in both the mid-to late game missions, and in the two post-game missions, during the playthrough I did with a friend.

Re: Poll: Which Of Xbox's Fall 2025 Games Are You Most Excited About?

Fishysensei

Out of the games on that list I have to pick Ninja Gaiden 4 because it's the only one that won't cost more than 700 kr(that's around $70) here in Sweden but I will play it on PS5 due to Xbox not getting a physical copy for it.

The games this fall I'm the most excited to play on Xbox though are Daemon X Machina: Titanic Scion and Digimon Story: Time Stranger.

Re: Talking Point: Would You Play An Assassin's Creed: Black Flag Remake?

Fishysensei

Nah, I would not play a remake of Black Flag simply because I'd rather stay away from anything related to that specific game.
That and modern-day Ubisoft kinda fails more than they succeed in my opinion, even if there are a few exceptions here and there that prove modern Ubisoft games can be good, like Frontiers of Pandora and Outlaws.

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (June 28-29)

Fishysensei

This weekend, I'm gonna try to get back to playing games after having had an extended period of being too busy to commit to anything.
So...I'm probably gonna play Lollipop Chainsaw RePOP or Sonic Adventure 2(the X360 version) on Xbox, Raidou Remastered on PS5 and then make a real effort to play through FFVI on Switch.

Re: Opinion: It Feels Like Microsoft Is Planning A Huge Final Year Of Xbox Series X|S In 2026

Fishysensei

@themightyant
Really good points and I do agree with them.
Like...take me for example, I first bought an Xbox One S in late 2019 and didn't upgrade to a Series X until mid 2022 so I very much share your sentiment about not needing to upgrade day one.
Similarly, I bought a PS4 in late 2014, upgraded to a PS4 Pro in early 2019 and then didn't upgrade to a PS5 until mid 2023.

Re: Opinion: It Feels Like Microsoft Is Planning A Huge Final Year Of Xbox Series X|S In 2026

Fishysensei

It would honestly be pretty nice if this generation kept going until 2030, mainly because those first few years of the current one were plagued by the pandemic and the after-effects of that.
But also because I no longer see the point with more advanced consoles than what we have now and because the prices of any new consoles at this point will be way too expensive.
I dunno...maybe I'm just getting old. xD

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (June 7-8)

Fishysensei

This weekend I'm gonna be playing Final Fantasy VI, Freedom Wars Remastered and possibly GTA San Andreas(first proper playthrough) on Switch and on Xbox I will play the Marvel vs. Capcom collection as a way to re-introduce myself to fighting games for real aswell as maybe some more Hollow Knight.
Tomorrow I got friends coming over for a birthday celebration so I guess we will primarily play Smash Bros. Ultimate and other 4-player games.

That's kinda all since I don't really feel like trying to beat the nightmare that is Trokka in The First Berserker.

Have a great weekend, all of you! 😁

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (May 31 - June 1)

Fishysensei

This weekend I will continue playing The First Berserker: Khazan(basically made it past Maluca the other day), Final Fantasy VI(goes pretty slow though), my second playthrough of Space Marine 2, probably Clair Obscur or DOOM: The Dark Ages and also gonna play more The Precinct.

But naturally, my plans could end up falling apart and I might end up playing something completely different all weekend. 😅

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (May 24-25)

Fishysensei

Hmm...
This weekend I will primarily continue playing Final Fantasy VI on Switch(my first ever playthrough), The Precinct, DOOM Eternal and possibly Clair Obscur on Xbox, and on PS5 I will mostly play Dragon Ball Sparking! ZERO but should probably continue playing The First Berserker: Khazan too.

Re: Five Games Are Leaving Xbox Game Pass In Late May 2025

Fishysensei

Sad to see Cassette Beasts go.
Definitely one of the best indie games in recent years.

I'm at the same time happy that I managed to play through Remnant II twice before now, not because it's a particularly good game(it's honestly a pretty bad game with a bunch of really awful bosses) but more because I had the chance to play it with friends and I guess that made the experience bearable.

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (May 17-18)

Fishysensei

This weekend I'll be playing The Precinct, DOOM: The Dark Ages(actually scratch that, I'm gonna replay Eternal instead, much better game), Dragon Ball Sparking! ZERO, possibly some Clair Obscur and maybe I'll finally get back to The First Berserker: Khazan in order to make progress.
Oh and Balatro on the side as usual.

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (May 10-11)

Fishysensei

@FarmDog08
Oh that's not what I referred to, I have no issue with the active defense mechanic.
I'm more talking about how most fights so far are over in just a minute or so due to the absurd damage my attacks and skills do.
Like, I guess I would have preferred if my own damage output wasn't as high as it is.

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (May 10-11)

Fishysensei

This weekend I'm probably going to continue playing Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 which finally arrived in the mail a few days ago(I'm just past what I assume is the tutorial dungeon), feels good so far even if it's a little too easy in general, hopefully the game actually gets harder and less flashy the further in I get.

I will also continue playing Far Cry 4, Crysis 2 Remastered(my third playthrough), Balatro and probably something else.

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (April 26-27)

Fishysensei

This weekend I'm continuing my playthroughs of Mafia III and The First Berserker: Khazan alongside Dragonball Sparking! ZERO and Balatro.
Probably gonna play more Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit Remastered too.
I may also test Oblivion Remastered to see just how badly it has aged.
I want to play Clair Obscur too and it is downloaded but I think I'll have to wait with that one until I finish some other turn-based RPG's I have in my to do list.
