Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (June 20-21)

Fable II for the first time, so I can play Fable III before Fable (IV). 😁

Still just Path of Exile 2 for me.

I did get a marketing email from Xbox on Friday that had some stats for my most played games in June. I have apparently done 170 hours of PoE 2 with Minecraft at 10 hours um ... so yeah lots of PoE 2 then😳

It's my first weekend in my 40s so I'm just going to take it easy a bit of eafc26 resident evil requiem and something else I'm sure!

This weekend I'm having a rest from hogwarts legacy to play a bit of Dave the diver on the Rog. Too hot to play on the SX this weekend!

I used some reward points to get 007 First Light half-price, so when I’m not out enjoying the weather it’ll be that. I’m very impressed - it really catches the vibe of the films and is fun to play. Hope everyone has a nice weekend!

After being stuck on a boss on Cuphead for about a week, I'm giving that a bit of a rest, and continuing the Capcom Beat 'em Up Collection for a nice blast of nostalgia. Have a good weekend

Forza Horizon 6. Just got the Gold wristband and finished the campaign last night, so time to wrap up loose ends and stuff over the Father's Day weekend!

Finished Echo Generation 2, so I'll continue with The Outer Worlds 2 and I just started Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii for a second time.

Its been my final week before summer holidays, so a bit more busy than usual but I still managed to play quite a bit 🙂

Lego Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight - I've finished the story, which was pretty good actually for a Lego game, and I'm now mopping up collectibles (they sure did put a lot of those in there, didn't they.... 😵). Its a really good game imo, very good gameplay and fighting, Arkham is great and fun to explore, and playing co-op adds even more fun. Some of the collectibles are fun to do, like solving the puzzles and riddles, but others just need picking up and as mentioned way too many. Still, I'll chip away until that platinum is mine but it'll probably take weeks 🙂

CoD Vanguard - Finally they dropped a CoD game on gamepass. Now, I'd been warned the campaign in this one is bad but I'm still a bit surprised that I after about 2 hours of play is actually considering dropping it. Its just lacking all of those ingridients that typically makes a CoD campaign good imo, and whats there is kind of boring (for CoD). The thing is its a shorts campaign, I'll need like 4 more hours to finish and my series S needs the attention so maybe I'll play some here and there until its done!

Now we're off on a trip, I'll be bringing the Portal and I have some games lined up that should be good to play on it 🙂 might have to get The Adventures of Elliot too, though. Liked the demo and the reviews are good so...

I’m playing a new game plus of Avowed. I’m enjoying it just as much as my original play through. I’ll probably also play a few races in FH6.

Finished Absolum, great game, loads of replayability.

Started beatdown city survivors, 10 runs in. Quite hard in my opinion, but addictive.

Reached the underdark in baldur's gate III.

Last Sunday I got the platinum for 007 First Light. While I [patiently] waited for The Adventures of Elliot to release, I was hankering for an RPG to play. I decided to replay The Witcher 3 for the fifth time, this instance being on Nintendo Switch 2.

I want to apologize to Elliot — you’re going to have to wait much longer to be played. I’m once again absorbed into this brutal, yet gorgeous Continent. Being able to take this adventure on the go is a godsend, and feels tailor made for that type of experience.

It’s also much better than I remembered; it ages like fine wine. There isn’t much more that can be said about this game that hasn’t been said before over the last 13 years. The writing is top notch, the characters are compelling, the main and side missions are some of the most in-depth, multilayered quests I’ve ever experienced, and exploration is consistently rewarding.

In short, this game is a bonafide masterpiece in every facet. Thirteen years later it still stands above most games today. Before Red Dead Redemption 2 and Elden Ring there was The Witcher 3. And thank God for that.

I really need to get back to 007 but for some reason it’s not just clicking with my mood lol.

Prob because I’ve beyond hyped for Starfox, Halo, and Gears Of War E-Day.

I’m currently playing Gears Reloaded, Halo 4, and Forza 6 with a little Sektori sprinkled in.

Dragon Warrior (NES) - I now have Leather Armour and a Shield. I'm now saving up for a Copper Sword and then heading North.

Jet Car Stunts (Windows Phone) - Nice to play this in between grinding for levels on DW.

Trucking 3D (Windows Phone) - I'm finally at the end now, will finish up on Sunday.

Tried and dropped several survival games that I wanted to like but just didn't. Abiotic Factor (hate the UI), Grounded (weird combat timing), No Man's Sky (zero challenge). I loved Subnautica, Green Hell and Long Dark so it's not as though I dislike the genre. Maybe the co-op/crafting focus isn't my thing either idk.

Also dropped Escape the Backrooms. I enjoyed how weird it was but I got to the office party level and realized everything had just been tedious as a solo player.

Been playing a bunch of Outer Worlds 2 and it's such a rad game. My only real complaint is the loot economy is not the greatest but I'm still figuring out the crafting system and I think that'll likely smooth over this bit of friction. Cannot wait to get back to the game.

Been absolutley consumed by Grim Dawn on Xbox One X causing total suspension of all my other game playthroughs I had in progress on Xbox and Switch!

I don't get a lot of time to play games over the weekends lately, been helping my brother a lot. If I do, I'll probably do a little bit of Fortnite to relax, maybe some TCG Card Shop Simulator on Game Pass, and more Cronos: The New Dawn. I've just finished the Church segment in Cronos and the story is going to some wild places.

May also try to find time to sneak in a replay of TMNT Tactical Takedown, I finally double-dipped for an Xbox copy since it's on sale... but the remix challenges are going to be terrifying as Mikey. I just can't wrap my head around his playstyle to save my life. I get everyone else, but his is just like... I can't come up with any good analogies. It's just way over my head.

Still rocking the fantastic Forza Horizon 6, almost have all achievements. Xbox cooked with this game!

Also bought Witchfire and oh boy is it good. When this game comes out of early access and hopefully comes to console Xbox console players are in for a treat.

This weekend I will keep playing Final Fantasy X on Switch along with Into the Breach but I will keep playing Motorslice too aswell as probably continue playing Outriders with my brother in arns.

I finally started Resident Evil Requiem. Tried the VR mod initially but got motion sickness real fast! Back to regular mode and boy is it gorgeous. I might try and persuade my wife to watch Mixtape as I play through too. I started it then thought she'd dig it. Happy gaming y'all!

I've returned to The Outer Worlds after three years to play the DLCs, which I bought after completing TO2.

Just started up Shinobi Art Of Vengeance..
