We've got a big birthday to celebrate today! Bethesda's The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion is officially celebrating its 20th anniversary, having first released all the way back on March 20th of 2006 for the Xbox 360 and PC.

It's since gone on to be known as an all-time classic, of course, and was followed by the beloved Skyrim in 2011. Oblivion was recently given the "Remastered" treatment too, with the game getting a surprise makeover in April 2025.

Despite the base game's age, the remaster proved a massive success for both Xbox and Bethesda:

Now that we've reached the 20th anniversary, which is almost one year on from The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered's launch, we're keen to hear your thoughts and memories on all versions of Oblivion over the years.

Did the remaster give you a new appreciation for it? Were you always in love with the Xbox 360 version anyway? Did you discover it much later down the line, or were you there playing it on day one in 2006? Is it better or worse than Skyrim? How do you think it's influenced the modern action-RPGs of today?

Let us know your thoughts on all of this down in the comments below!
