Xbox Announces Price Reductions For Game Pass Ultimate & PC Game Pass

Woah, woah, woah! Microsoft has announced today that both Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass are officially getting price reductions, and they're literally going into effect over the next few hours.

In the US, Xbox Game Pass will now drop from $29.99 to $22.99 per-month, while PC Game Pass will go from $16.49 to $13.49 per-month. We're still waiting on details about other regions as things stand.

Existing subscribers will see their prices reduce on their next monthly recurrence date from April 22 onwards.

"Starting today, Game Pass Ultimate drops from $29.99 to $22.99 a month. PC Game Pass will also drop from $16.49 to $13.99 a month. Prices may vary by region."

In addition, it's been announced that future Call of Duty games will no longer join Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass on day one, but will instead join around a year after their launch in the following holiday season.

Xbox says these decisions have been made in response to "a lot of feedback we’ve gotten so far", and that the team will "continue to listen and learn" in the future. Xbox boss Asha Sharma has also stated that she wants to "better match what matters to players", and that Game Pass had become "too expensive for too many players".
