My Series X and my old Xbox One S have been the most reliable Xbox consoles for me. I guess my original Xbox comes in third place.
Xbox 360 was probably my least reliable console ever, my original 360(bought at the end of 2008) broke down at the start of 2011 and out of the two Slim variants I had, they all suffered from various issues between 2011 and the end of 2014 ranging from the disc tray randomly opening and refusing to close to refusing to start properly to issues where the controllers would suddenly stop working.
The Xbox 360 gen had really good games overall but in terms of the console itself(either iteration), it was pretty bad. 😅
On Xbox: System Shock, Baldurs's Gate III and Neptunia: Sisters Vs. Sisters with Vampire Survivors on the side. On Switch: Trails of Cold Steel IV, Red Dead Redemption, Robotics;Notes and Crisis Core FFVII: Reunion. On PS5: Nothing due to all of the games mentioned above.
Honestly, visuals don't impress me these days like they did 10 years ago and this game is no different.
There's just something about realistic visuals that make me shrug.
Now, I can appreciate a good-looking game when I see one but this is not one of them.
DmC: Devil May Cry was/is amazing outside of some specific parts so that's my pick. However, I did enjoy Enslaved: Odyssey to the West a little more as a whole(even though some design choices were a bit goofy).
Shame they haven't done more games like those two.
I'm honestly not very interested in a Japan-set AC anymore. Maybe if it had come out 10 years ago or so, I would have had actual interest but these days, if I want this kinda game set in Japan, I just prefer Ghost of Tsushima or Rise of the Ronin or similar games.
On Xbox: hopefully finally will buy Baldur's Gate III and will then check it out, if not, I'm not sure what I'll play. On Switch: started reading Robotics;Notes Elite. On PS5: I might just get back to Trails of Cold Steel IV, it's about time I did.
On PS5: Neptunia ReVerse On Switch: Maybe Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney On Xbox...umm, not sure yet, kinda lost interest in Another Crab's Treasure due to me experiencing more and more glitches(and some soft-locking instances) the further into it I got. Maybe I'll get back to Lords of the Fallen(2023) or finally get back to Starfield to continue the playthrough I started when it released. I may just continue playing F.E.A.R. though.
On Xbox: Another Crab's Treasure, F.E.A.R. and possibly more Tiny Tina's Wonderlands if possible. On PS5: started Neptunia ReVerse since I beat the main game in Granblue Fantasy: Relink a couple days ago. On Switch: Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney.
Thought Skywalker Saga was too streamlined and, as the game went on, it got pretty boring and repetitive. Ended up dropping it due to the novelty wearing off fast but also due to me and the guy I played with coming across multiple game-breaking glitches. Also feel like some of the episodes became too tedious.
On PS5: Granblue Fantasy: Relink. On Xbox: F.E.A.R. and possibly gonna play Tiny Tina's Wonderlands in co-op with friends. On Switch: Most likely nothing.
This weekend is all about getting through the final stretch of Monster Hunter Stories 2(has been an amazing journey so far, easily one of the best monster-raising games out there) and maybe some more Disco Elysium on the side.
Pretty mediocre month for me given that I already own/have beaten most of these games but at least Evil West being added meant I finally had a reason to return to it for a second playthrough and I finally got to play it in co-op with a friend.
I generally fail to notice the benefits of ray tracing and tend to avoid using it if I can so I would say that yes, it's a waste of resources in general.
I'm planning on wrapping up Deus Ex: Human Revolution today(am literally at the end) and then we'll see if I return to Monster Hunter Stories 2 or play something else entirely. I am interested in playing Rise of the Ronin but I should probably prioritize other games before I start that one.
Played and finished the main game back when it released so I'm not very interested in replaying it.
Overall, it was a pretty meh experience with mostly boring bosses(with a couple of exceptions) and a story that got progressively worse the longer it went on.
I would probably at least give it like... a 6 out of 10.
This weekend I'm continuing my playthrough of Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin(on Switch) aswell as continuing to play Deus Ex: Human Revolution(on Xbox).
This weekend I have RoboCop: Rogue City(second playthrough, playing on Xbox), Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin(Switch) and Trails of Cold Steel IV(PS4 version, played on PS5) that I'm rotating between, with some Remnant 2 in co-op on the side.
This weekend I'm maybe going to play Chrono Trigger(the DS version) since I'm way too exhausted after the past week for anything else.
I gave the Unicorn Overlord demo a go on Switch though, since I have really enjoyed Vanillawares previous games but I dropped it, this type of tactical RPG is just not clicking with me. (Basically, move units around in real-time and then watch the battles play out according to tactics you've set for each character before-hand, it's kinda way too passive for me)
Business as usual for me, still not done with Trails of Cold Steel III but I'm hoping I can beat it by the end of next week so I can finally play something else for once.
Business as usual for me this weekend, which at this point is just Trails of Cold Steel 3... I'm 86 hours in now and about to start chapter 4 so at least that's something.
This weekend I'm still too busy with Trails of Cold Steel III to want to play anything else. Amazing game and quite a bit longer than the previous two, which is always a plus for JRPG's.
This weekend I'm probably finally gonna start playing COD: Black Ops Cold War on Xbox in addition to continuing my journey in Trails of Cold Steel III on the Switch.
I might also give Palworld a second try but I'm not too sure about that.
While the general concept is great, the game suffers(in my opinion) from being a survival game at its core.
This weekend I'm finally back home after my apartment went through some much-needed maintenance which means I can return to my usual gaming habits.
So!
This weekend I'm finally starting Trails of Cold Steel III(on the Switch even) and I will probably try the demo for Granblue Fantasy Relink aswell.
On Xbox, I'll probably just play chill games like OlliOlli World and such.
This weekend I'm going to continue playing Trails of Cold Steel II, hopefully I can beat it within the next few sessions. And until I do beat it, I won't play anything else.
I'll be finishing up Trails of Cold Steel today and then we'll see.
I might honestly go straight into Trails of Cold Steel 2 afterwards.
On Xbox, I may continue to play Inscryption.
Oh *****! It's already been a week? Time flies I guess.
Anyway. This weekend I'm continuing to play Trails of Cold Steel(the PS4 version) after I finally got through Trails to Azure last saturday.
Don't think I'll be playing anything else until I beat this one. But I did install Clash: Artifacts of Chaos so I may play that in between my Trails sessions.
Best Xbox game of the year is obviously Dead Island 2, game came out of nowhere and was an amazing experience both solo and co-op. Best game of the year in general is tougher though since I haven't really beaten that many of 2023's releases. Kinda have been too focused on clearing up my backlog.
This weekend I'm wrapping up Trails to Azure after a few days of intense gaming. Had I known the final chapter would be as long as it has been, I would have spaced out my sessions a bit.
After that? I dunno honestly, might continue with Metroid Remastered just to switch genres. Debating on whether I should start Avatar on PS5 or continue Teardown.
Hmm. For once, I haven't decided on what to play this weekend(I beat Super Mario RPG a couple days ago) but I suppose I'll play some Remnant 2 with my buddy and possibly Trepang² while I decide on my next big project to play.
This weekend I'm (still)playing Super Mario RPG on the Switch and...not much else, honestly.
Might finally start Final Fantasy XVI today though since I beat RoboCop: Rogue City on thursday(extremely enjoyable game) and kinda am taking a break from Half-Life 2.
Oh and as always, I'm playing Shin Megami Tensei IV on the 3DS.
This weekend I'm playing the remake of Super Mario RPG(blind playthrough) on my Switch, Half-Life 2(pretty much also a blind playthrough) on the Xbox and RoboCop: Rogue City on PS5. Oh and I'm still playing Shin Megami Tensei IV on 3DS.
After beating Yakuza: Like a Dragon earlier this week, I decided to return to Yakuza Ishin(the remake, from early this year) so that's what I'm working on this weekend on Xbox. On PS5, I'm playing RoboCop: Rogue City mixed with a bit of Soul Hackers 2 and on 3DS, I'm playing Shin Megami Tensei IV.
Still playing Yakuza: Like a Dragon, I'm 62 hours in and getting close to the end, mainly just grinding levels currently to be able to survive the boss fight against Majima and Saejima.
Otherwise, I'm playing Super Mario Bros. Wonder and recently booted up Shin Megami Tensei IV on my 3DS and am making okay progress there. I'm also waiting for my copy of RoboCop: Rogue City to arrive so I can play that(on PS5).
I'm continuing to play Yakuza: Like a Dragon this weekend on Xbox with a bit of Super Mario Bros. Wonder on the side. Still got many new games in the backlog so at least I have lots to pick from once I've beaten Like a Dragon.
This weekend is all about Armored Core VI for me. May finally be able to go back to Trails to Azure aswell now that my IRL stuff has finally settled down(been a rough two weeks for me so haven't had the energy to focus on it but hopefully that will change).

Good, looks like a quiet week in terms of my interests.
I guess I'll continue to focus on my backlog for the foreseeable future.

Re: Soapbox: The Best Modern Tomb Raider Is Well Worth Your Time On Xbox Game Pass
In my opinion, Shadow is the best, this one second-best and Rise was overall pretty bad(not to mention really short).
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (April 27-28)
On Xbox: Another Crab's Treasure, F.E.A.R. and possibly more Tiny Tina's Wonderlands if possible.

Might skip this one, just doesn't sound or look interesting enough for me. 🤷♂️
Despite it being on Game Pass.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (April 20-21)
On PS5: Granblue Fantasy: Relink.

On Switch: Most likely nothing.

Maybe some Evil West in co-op aswell.

Will at least try to play something else this weekend, most likely Black Ops: Cold War.

Re: Metacritic Reveals The 10 Worst-Rated Video Games Of 2023
Hmm.
I can think of a few but they are highly personal:
1. Wanted: Dead
2. Atlas Fallen
3. Diablo IV
4. Forspoken
5. Immortals of Aveum
Re: Feature: Pure Xbox's Game Of The Year 2023
Very surprised to see Diablo IV make the list.
I guess it only proves that it was not a game for me.

Nothing of interest for me except Alan Wake 2 but that one can wait a few months while I work my way through my backlog.
