It's Game Pass day! We've got four more games entering the service today, with the highlights being the highly-anticipated addition of Marvel's Avengers as well as some surprise announcements this morning, including Scarlet Nexus! In addition, we've also got two extra games launching day one with Xbox Game Pass as well.

Scarlet Nexus!? That's a surprise
Scarlet Nexus is a really great game, do not skip on this one if you like great action with some RPG elements!! Own it and it is a blast! Even more so after being patched a few times! Astria Ascending looks so beautiful.
@FriendlyOctopus @Deadcow They announced Scarlet Nexus coming to Game Pass at Tokyo Game Show. AI: The Somnium Files will also be added to Game Pass soon.

Just gotta wait for them to release haha, I was hoping to stick Scarlet on download before afternoon. Might wait till tomorrow but still, very excited

Oh, and please, guys : try Avengers. Really. Forget about all the bad buzz and everything. This was a game MEANT for gamepass. Now that you can access it for free (sort of), please give it a try.
It really has a good story, gameplay is fun (I'm so in love with the ability to play an actual IRON MAN, with flying and everything !), and graphics are really cool. Maybe you won't play hundred of hours, and will let it go after the main story's ending, and that's fine. But it deserves a play, really. Just my two cents.
@Bobobiwan I'm looking forward to giving Avengers a try however there was one criticism that I wanted to get your thoughts about.
A few reviews suggested that the heroes felt underpowered and that their skill trees didn't open up until the Endgame (sic) which was disappointing. Is this something you found?
Also MIGHTY GOOSE looked like a LOT of fun. Check it out!
Definitely gonna play Scarlet Nexus, I tried the demo and it was great. Might try a few of the others but not Avengers, I played the Beta and it was boring frankly
@themightyant Honestly, I don't know very much about that, as I'm an actual casual player.
All I wanted with this game was to play an Avenger in a good story mode, and that's what I found.
I only played Iron Man, except when I had to play others for the sake of the story, and I still have not maxed his skill tree. But It's probably because I did stop playing just after the end credits (I didn't dive into the endgame - multiplayer play).
So, my take is : if you consider this game just for its solo mode, it is a good game. Not too short, not too long, a good superhero tale with really cool sequences (The Stark Mansion, for exemple). But for the endgame, I don't know. And I guess that's where all the criticisms are found.
But I'm planning to play the game again, now, for the Wakanda expansion which seems very fun. And maybe a little multiplayer, who knows ? With gamepass, maybe it will suddenly be filled with plenty of players !

@John117 Not even close mate. Xbox is getting more JRPG's than ever before for certain which is great to see but Playstation is still the go to place for them, it's leagues ahead.

I pre-installed Avengers. Went to play it today, said I don’t have the rights and to insert disc. Uninstalled. Now cannot find Avengers on Game Pass anywhere. I’m in the UK, anyone else?

@John117 Hah, fair point. Well you've got a good bunch to choose from right now on Game Pass. There's a nice range of stuff to go at on there.
@c14nhl If still not working, restart your Xbox - seems it needs a reboot then check for updates, there should be a 112MB update for Microsoft Store.
Once that's updated (it installed it 3 times for me - each time starting the game failed and the store updated again), finally start the game and it should work - mine now does

I had the whole 130gb download. Then trying to troubleshoot I’ve deleted it and cannot see Avengers on Game Pass at all?

@Shigurui I miss when PS was the home of JRPGs, but honestly, it feels like Switch gets that credit now. Even if the Falcom games run like trash on it.
Honestly other than Persona, Falcom games, and PS2 stuff, and they "not really Japanese anymore western AAA JRPGS", I can't think of much that's on PS that's not on Switch or Xbox or both. The really really anime/"offensive" stuff was censored off the platform already.
@Bobobiwan I'm looking forward to playing the Avengers solo campaign as i heard it's actually great. Its all I'm interested in so really don't care if the end game is a grind and lacking. Just need to find time to play it
@NEStalgia You're probably right there. I honestly wouldn't know about Switch tbh, it's a system I forget even exists at times as I pay no attention to it whatsoever.

My interest in those games varies but will give them all a go.

Yea switch is great in that regard, my only real gripe with the system is performance & the sometimes shocking low res. (handheld & docked.) I find it really jarring to go from mostly 60fps to not solid 30fps. Really hope they will offer something a bit stronger in the future.
I’ll probably download scarlet nexus and astria ascending. I would download ai the somnium files if I didn’t already buy it for switch.
I started the Avengers this morning and fair does, the campaign has been very good so far. Well worth a go if you like a good campaign.
