One of the cool features of the Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S is the ability to play games at up to 120 frames per-second, providing a new level of smooth performance never before seen in Xbox history.

Originally, this feature was only limited to a set number of titles, but that number has grown as more developers have taken advantage of the Xbox Series X and S. So, what games are advertised to support 120FPS? Let's take a look.

What Do I Need To Play Xbox Series X & S Games At 120FPS?

Before we get into it, it's important to note that not everyone will be able to take advantage of this feature.

For starters, you'll need a television or monitor capable of outputting 120Hz (sometimes advertised as 100Hz by retailers in Europe - ask if you're unsure!). If you then also want to play games at 4K resolution as well as 120 frames per second (where supported), you'll require a TV or monitor with an HDMI 2.1 port.

How Does FPS Boost Work With 120FPS Games On Xbox Series X|S?

120FPS support comes in two main forms on Xbox - a selection of 'FPS Boost' titles, and games that are 'Optimized for Xbox Series X|S' and can run at 120 frames per second. FPS Boost games are titles from the Xbox 360 and Xbox One eras that have higher frame rates on current-gen consoles, while 120FPS 'Optimized' games are releases that have been built natively for Xbox Series X|S.

Below, we've gathered every FPS Boost title that supports 120FPS, along with every major Xbox Series X|S release that features 120FPS support.
