Re: If You're In The US, Now Is A Great Time To Buy An Xbox Series S

TheGrizMan

Xbox killed its own momentum by (as usual) not being able to get any big titles out for 2022. I have both the Series X and S already, both are FANTASTIC pieces of hardware. Games and marketing are their failure points, which has almost always been the case. Hopefully things will pick up in 2023. The lack of games for 2022 doomed them this generation already, I’m afraid. Hopefully they’ll drop the price on the Series S and entice some people to give the brand a try. They simply can’t get those tentpole games to market.

Re: Xbox's Phil Spencer Admits The Game He Wants To Play Next Is On PlayStation

A little tone deaf towards the hardcore fans of Xbox. We have very little in the way of Xbox 1st party content and pretty much nothing this year. I know any criticism of Xbox management is met with rage from most Xbox fans, but I’m not a fan of his statement considering we’re two years in and he seems fine with the fact Xbox studios can’t get a game out. More of the “just wait ‘til next year” for fans and he’s hyping the competition’s games. Maybe I’m just old fashioned.

Re: Talking Point: Xbox Series S Owners, How's Your Storage Looking In 2022?

TheGrizMan

Love the console, I don’t like the small storage. I have a portable USB, but have not bought an SSD since we never got cheaper options or 3rd party as had been expected. I will eventually upgrade the amount of SSD storage like I did with my Series X, but factory expansions are still way too expensive. I could upgrade my PS5 by 2 TB for the same price as 1TB on Xbox.

Re: Microsoft Reportedly Working On Smaller, More Power Efficient Series X Chip

TheGrizMan

I’m very happy with my Series X. Any revisions that make things more efficient are good for Microsoft I guess. Not sure I’ll buy a “Pro” or Slim though unless we get significant performance increases. My Series X tucks nicely behind my TV the way it is. The PS5 is awkward and ugly to me, but unless mine dies I’ll very likely just stick with the launch model for this gen. I don’t play it as much as it is. I think it will be enough for the better part of the generation.

Re: Microsoft Confirms Plans For Activision Blizzard Games On PlayStation, Nintendo Switch

Sony fanboys see this as a huge win for PlayStation, and a big L for Xbox.

I’m not going to lie, as a 20 year Xbox fan who stuck with them through the lean years, this feels pretty crappy. They seemed much more worried about placating Sony fans than taking care of their own customers. I’m sure most will disagree with me, but that’s just how it feels. I’ll take the flaming.

Seems like Phil always wants to play nice, but Xbox and its fans never seem to get it in return.
