@InterceptorAlpha they’ve said they’re not leaving the hardware market. It’s just not the same priority as it once was. They’re not going to out-console PlayStation right now. PlayStation has the “culturally relevant” status with casual gamers at this point. Xbox has a lot of work to even get it competitive, and that’s not really their focus. I would like to see them get better in that area myself, but I just don’t think they care much about console sales.

My launch model lasted about 4 years or so. Crazy I know.

I think it would be a cool upgrade and as a person who loves to buy physical games on sale, it would be very handy. I have a Series X but would love to have an add-on disc drive for my S in another room. I’d pay around $50-$100 for that a couple years later.

@Sakai - this. It’s bordering on fake outrage at this point. Not saying there aren’t issues, as ANY game has some, but it seems like Xbox games in particular have an unrealistic set of standards that must be met, whereas other games from 3rd party and competitors get much more of a pass.

I’d LOVE a new Mechassault.

Definitely near the top if not the top. But I like other games this year as well, especially the remakes and remasters from Nintendo and Capcom. 😉

That said, I love Starfield and have put the most time in to it.

9/10 for me. Finished the main quest and on new gane +. Nearly 60 hours in. Some minor quibbles, but it’s a great game.

@Cashews I really like it. Used to play a lot of the series years ago and this is a nice golf game up there with the previous titles. Good visuals and fairly easy for multiple skill levels to adapt to.

Already have one with a 1TB expansion (got a good price on it). I’m good unless it dies. I’ve played a lot of games on the S. Perfect complement to my X.

I’m disappointed that the “power narrative” was incorrect, but I also understand that most games aren’t taking advantage of all that’s there with the Series X. I have had a lot of fun with the X and S both though, so I can’t really complain.

If PlayStation is really releasing a Pro though, one would have to think Xbox needs to do the same.

If it had launched with 1TB some would find something else to complain about. They’re giving options, nobody is obligated to buy anything.

Have played on Series X and S both, can confirm it runs beautifully. Granted it’s probably not pushing any of the current gen systems particularly hard, but it’s nice to see a more polished experience. Definitely a meaty game.

Will be the same game as 2023’s version.

Don’t even care at this point. 1st party is a disaster for the most part lately, save for Hi-Fi RUSH.

They dropped the visuals to PS5 level because they were better on Series X. Sony admitted they watch and pay attention to Digital Foundry.

Didn’t have much experience with Diablo prior, as it just wasn’t my type of game (did play some Diablo III), but played it pretty extensively both weekends. It’s definitely a lot of fun with friends and I will be buying it for sure. There are a couple of classes which suit my play style and made it very enjoyable. I think many people will be drawn to this game, including players new to the series.

Oh no, God forbid Xbox have any exclusives.

Already preordered and downloaded the Deluxe Edition.

Played a few matches on launch day. Had some of the framerate issues here and there, but had a lot of fun. I have always enjoyed this game and will continue to do so.

The problem these days is social media and false outrage. If you completely revamp the formula, 80% of Twitter and “gaming press” will be screaming “THIS ISN’T FORZA HORIZON AND I’M NOT PLAYING THIS GARBAGE” or similar. So it puts Playground and MS in a weird place. Make the comfort food or be bold.

@Meehanuk_1987 that’s really the thing nobody is saying. We’re halfway through the generation and barely have any big 1st party games. I’m not without games to play thanks to 3rd party and GP, but definitely feel like I invested way too much in Xbox this generation. Lesson learned.
