I haven’t had a chance to play Campaign Evolved yet, but I imagine I’ll feel much the same.

“In partnership with Netflix” is not what I expected. Just feels like the corporate joke they’ve been making fun of for the last couple decades.

The moment I read "extraction" or "PVP" or "PVPVE" I pretty much tune out. Good for anyone who's interested, but that's not the game for me.

I can (begrudgingly) accept an all digital future as I don’t think it’s going to change. However, we need to be able to actually own our titles, not lose them when they get delisted, a server goes down, or some entitlement check in fails/doesn’t happen.

If I didn’t know any better, some hacker group is making a point about digital ownership.

Not trying to be a pain when I say they need to figure out a better ownership method. It shouldn’t matter if we are online or not to access our games. We paid for them!

So, you have to watch an ad to access your content? This isn't the good idea it sounds like. If anything, it's another warning sign for digital media. What is going to stop them from saying "well, we want more money, so put some ads in the games they own as well!"

If I own media, I should be able to consume it however I choose, I shouldn't have to suffer ads for it. Then again, you don't own the game, just a license, right? Feels wrong to me.

"until gaming finds a way to be more valuable than AI" is a silly thing to say, IMO. Games are entertainment. AI might be able to be used for entertainment, but it's like saying movies, books, and games can't exist in the same world.

Any idea how the performance is? Solid? Bad?

I think the real issue is lack of choice and security issues. I prefer physical, but I do think this is a trend. That said, I just think it's corporate executives making decisions to shore up their profits without regard to consumers. Once they have your cash, they just don't care. That mentality that investors are the real audience needs to go away.

I’ll never forget being 13 and walking into a Fred Meyer in Arizona and seeing the game on display. I walked over and played it and was blown away how good it looked back then.

This is my favorite AC game and I definitely feel like they are just shaking the tree of their best ever AC title. That said, it's totally working for me. I am excited to play this again and I am glad it turned out well. Modern conveniences are a win for me.

I would take this, at least. I'm frustrated by the news from Sony today. I am not opposed to digital, but it just frustrates me the option is being taken from me!

The ABK deal and AI have just totally tainted the industry.

Down with AI, I’m tired of suffering because some idiots in suits think AI is something more than a dang NFT.

The news has made me develop concern for this game. Hope I'm wrong. Higher cost, no physical edition, and some shops locked behind the deluxe edition.

Double Fine was a weird acquisition by Mircrosoft. They are an indie studio that should be marching down their own path. Overly corporate MS buying it made me scratch my head.

Frustrating!

Personally, I still think this is all thanks to ABK. One of the worst decisions in gaming history.

Some cool looking titles here. I think at this moment I am most excited for Wild Blue Skies. With the Star Fox announcement and this on the horizon, I'm feeling like a kid again.

I just beat Silksong and it was easily a 10/10 experience. Random internet guy recommended.

Couple of straight facts here:

1. Games go on sale for like 30% within a couple of months. Why buy so quick when there is already so much to play? If you wait just a bit and get a game a decent bit cheaper, why not?

2. As expensive as things are now, all these suits jacking up prices so they can have good quarterly reports and get their bonuses and the latest model year luxury car are so out of touch it's insane. Look at the price of the Switch 2 going up and that report on investors hoping it would happen. That's so annoying!

3. I bought Silksong at launch for $20. That's, at best, a 3rd of the price of a big title. I've been playing it and I have about 50 hours into it and it's incredibly well made. I recognize people were frustrated with the wait, but look at the product we got! For $20!

4. New IPs seem to have the most steam these days, that's why the PS4 gen was so successful and that's why so many smaller titles are getting the best reviews.

Suits need to take a back seat, their greed is ruining everything in the world. Not just gaming, but gaming is def being hurt by them.

I’ll give her credit, she’s making some choices that seem to be good ones. That said, I said the same about Phil before the Activision acquisition.

Love it. It’s like Blossom Tales, that game is awesome too. Need to check out the sequel. I’ll put this one on my list.

I was burned though, I thought Spencer was doing the same and he just threw in the towel. That lousy Activision acquisition was the lamest decision on so many levels.

I hope these are the positive signs I had been hoping for, but I'll wait and see. I just don't believe any corpo, honestly.

Just said the other day I couldn't get excited for this and suddenly I know that I was wrong. Black Flag was my favorite AC and I think I am officially excited for this.

DF mentioned they have a video for Xbox in the works. Very curious to see if it runs better than the PS5 version. Not saying it will, but I know Xbox has a hair more power (at least on paper).

I’m eagerly awaiting the DF breakdown. Seeing the base PS5 version is something of a disappointment. I’m not saying it will be better on XSX, but I am wondering if there is a difference.

Personally, I’m waiting either way for a sale.
