I am happy to say I was able to claim it. I am not sure when I will be able to play it, but man I am excited to dive back in again in the near future.

All these execs saying things are going so well are for the sake of the investors, not the end users. I think things are worse than they are saying.

I like the Fuzion channel. Seems like there is a genuine enjoyment from this kind of work and they post so quickly.

I have played GTA since the original and played every game in the series. I love GTA. It's the reason I bought a PS2. GTA4 was the only game I've ever gone to a midnight launch for. GTA5 brought me back into gaming after a long hiatus due to life stuff.

I want to be excited for GTA6, but right now it doesn't seem like a real thing. I will be excited when I get info on it and I know it's actually launching and that it's good.

@Kezelpaso Appreciate your response. Great observation on the COVID point. Man, that really messed us all up.

So, I am not the most decorated CoD player, but if there was one thing I always knew about the series is that the games launched pretty polished. One thing I love about this site is they always mention performance on the hardware in question. Further, it's my observation that Xbox game studios hasn't been afraid to launch games in a messy state.

Finally my thought/question: Is the BLOPS7 launch plagued by the issues I've observed with XGS after Activision was acquired by Microsoft? Maybe tough to say, but if so, I think this points to the ongoing concern I've had for a lot of Xbox titles and sort of should make people concerned about CoD's future.

I should point out that some XGS games have launched in a great state. Outer Worlds 2 for instance. I just feel like those are the exception rather than the standard. Not trying to rile anyone up, just some observations.

@darylb24 16GB of RAM plus 8GB of VRAM. VRAM being dedicated to graphics usage. So, if you are looking at total, it's 24GB of RAM, but that is not the most accurate way to look at this.

@Kezelpaso truth. I live in the US and I’m frankly tired of all the half truths and misinformation people buy in to. So if anything, I applaud Eurogamer for sticking to an ideal of some sort.

I am of the opinion reviews should inform. Like how you all mention if game performance seems shoddy on the Xbox platform, where others won’t even mention it. That is why I enjoy this site. Use of AI is something I would like to know about, given that I think it’s just a way for corporations to fire people.

Again, just my opinion. You all do great work on this site.

@Kezelpaso I just disagree. I think there is a moral obligation that goes with it. I may be unique in one regard, but I choose to ignore games with questionable people at the helm. I’m done with Ubisoft for instance.

Back in 2018 there were all kinds of chatter on Red Dead 2’s crunch culture at Rockstar. That turned people off.

It’s also not lost on me that the Epic games CEO doesn’t answer to the consumers, so he doesn’t care. Also, his “stick to sports” response is highly infuriating. I’m sorry, but people are affected by these things and we should be able to talk about them and elaborate what we think their impact is.

Seems to me an out of touch CEO doesn't realize a review is, well, an opinion.

The console itself is great. The company that made it is really awful, though. I was so excited to see what Xbox was going to do and I loved Halo Infinite. I don’t know why Xbox waved the white flag, but it’s dang disappointing.

I thought it was excellent. I like pretty much all the halo games. I also thought Infinite was excellent. I think multiplayer is dull in all it's forms, so maybe I'm not the best opinion on it. I keep hearing about how these games failed because of their multiplayer and I just roll my eyes.

Folks can’t buy food and Microsoft jacked up the price of their consoles.

I wish these executives would be quiet for a little bit.

I think Nintendo has the right of it. I like the idea of an Xbox version, maybe one that isn’t $1,000. Microsoft could do it. Will they?

I was so pumped when I got my Series X. I thought Xbox was going to have a great gen and when I played Halo Infinite, I thought we were doing it. I don’t understand what people didn’t like about Infinite, but I feel like whatever the failure was, it was on the management of Microsoft.

I don’t know why I’d buy the next gen unit, but who knows. I’ll be curious to see why we learn.

Unreal Engine has felt really rough this gen. Maybe they’ll be able to smooth it out, but I’m just not feeling good about anything on that engine. The best game I played on it was Expedition 33 and so far it seems to be the only one I’ve played that didn’t feel like it was punted on.

These folks at Microsoft just feel like they have gone off their rockers. I don’t know what to make of this statement. Like, you are a videogame company. Yes, you need engagement, but I highly doubt TikTok stopped people from playing Diablo.

@neoratt Truthfully I hope you are right. I like Xbox, obviously, but they have lost the plot IMHO. I also disagree Gamepass has the value you refer to anymore. At least for me, it’s cheaper to buy the games I’d like to play. I don’t have the time to play enough games to justify the price any longer.

@NeoRatt what is the selling point for Xbox? I don’t think there is one, truth be told. I get that desire to have all games everywhere, I’m not even saying it’s wrong per se, but why on earth would anyone buy an Xbox anymore?

I honestly think this just makes the point that Xbox is dead. I wish it weren’t true, but I need to understand why anyone would buy an Xbox.

This doesn’t surprise me. It effectively proves why Redfall launched the way it did. They didn’t care about the quality of the product.

Everything Microsoft has done in the last couple years has felt half baked and it’s such a damn bummer.

I have a Series X, PS5, and Switch 2. I can’t justify a $1,000 purchase that doesn’t do what those do. I’m sure it’s a great device, but it sounds like the software can be more of a headache that I care for. Also, my PC library isn’t nearly what my console library is. I’m not knocking on the Ally, but this wasn’t meant for me. That’s okay, I can see a world where it is for me. Just not for $1,000.

This is a symptom of Xbox not caring about Xbox. I’m sad about it, but I really wish we’d see the ecosystem as a priority.

@Cvantez I’m of the opinion that most people know how much they pay for their subscriptions. That is why it’s all over the place when any of them raise their prices. I also think in the times we are living where everything is getting more expensive, especially the necessities, people pay attention to this stuff. So, I strongly disagree with that take. Especially when you get emails where they tell you the price is going up. It’s not lost on anyone when a subscription price goes up by 50%.

@Cvantez this comment comes across as callous given that people are starting to struggle to pay bills for non-videogame stuff. I genuinely think Microsoft overplayed their hand here.

I wonder if fewer companies are going to put their games on GP now. Seems like it’s less of a good bet now.

@TheGameThrifter whether you choose to believe it or not, tariffs have an impact. Even if they aren't in place, a company is trying to make a profit and they are forced to anticipate increased costs. That anticipation, even if the tariffs aren't enacted, cause prices to increase.

@themightyant it’s all connected whether we choose to believe that or not.

The console price increases are absolutely a result of tariffs. I wonder if this GP price increase is also a side effect of tariffs. My thought is Microsoft is still trying to offput cost increases because of the insane taxes being charged on hardware.

@FraserG Because of corporate greed, my friend. Because there is this myth that you can grow your profits infinitely and that causes the already ultra wealthy to make some out of touch decisions.

The epic heel turn Xbox has taken is disappointing. I was really optimistic about it in 2020 and now it's the brand is just riddled with drama and price hikes. I downgraded my sub yesterday and it really bummed me out.

Dropped ultimate and went with essential. The value is gone for ultimate and no amount of 10 year old ubisoft games will change that. I just like to be able to play games with my friends online when we have time and I will just work through my backlog or buy any game I really want. Not like Xbox has had many must haves in the last decade anyway.

I played a huge swath of these games 10 years ago.

Lotta corpo speak in that announcement. Not feeling good about the games industry right now.
