It's another day, and another brand-new addition to Xbox Game Pass!

The dark fantasy world of Mistfall Hunter is available now on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox PC, Cloud, and supports my favourite feature, Xbox Play Anywhere.

Mistfall Hunter is an extraction PVPVE game that's giving off plenty of Elden Ring vibes. There's certainly something interesting here, although it's currently sitting on a Mixed rating on Steam. It might be one of those games that's best judged for yourself.

There's nothing on Metacritic just yet, so instead let's take a gander at what some of the latest Steam user reviews have to say about the game:

<> on Steam: "Good extraction game with alot of elden rings reference, the bot player in the beggining are a little boring but its running nice. Mixed Reviews because of no OCE server"
Phantom Tricks on Steam: "Bit choppy launch but stabilized quickly and the beta was incredible. Really excited for this game's potential."
luckytaigacharm on Steam: "Just styled on some plebs. Diabolical jiggle physics, A lot of stuttering when moving around new areas, but it goes away after a few seconds, so maybe shaders are loading behind the scenes idk."
high-def hobo on Steam: "Yet another extraction game. However, this one earned it's place with it's fluid, souls-like combat, and ARPG mechanics. There is some noticeable latency issues I have been experiencing at launch, but it has been minimal."
kevin on Steam: "The gameplay loop is unrewarding. After less than 5 hours it already feels repetitive and pointless. There is no item variety in this game. All the gear is exactly the same."

So it sounds like people are fairly happy with the gameplay, but server issues and performance are a bit choppy at launch. Perhaps time and some patches to address player concerns will do the game a world of wonders.
