Talking Point: How Much Has The Xbox Outage Affected You? 1

Xbox servers have been down for most of the day (July 27), impacting thousands of players, myself included, and leaving me unable to play most of my games.

Sifting through social media platforms for the general reaction whilst keeping an eye on the Xbox Status page for a miracle, continues to paint a bleak picture for a digital-only future. My thoughts are already with the Xbox Series S owners, who don't even have the option of turning to their physical library. Not like it would change much, as Microsoft's server outage hasn't even spared my precious physical disc-based games - Not my discs!

When it comes to my consoles, I've been able to sign in, but I can't get a single disc-based or digital game working. It doesn't matter whether they're already installed on my Series X or Series S, and even games I had in Quick Resume refuse to launch. I got creative too, closing my eyes and pretending I didn't care one bit whether the game would actually launch or not. But every time I opened them, I would see the error pictured above.

I've been trying to find alternative ways to play my Xbox games and have actually had more success through the Xbox for PC app. Allowing me to boot Replaced on the ROG Ally and main desktop rig without any problems.
