@Fenbops If I am not mistaken PS5 actually added an option to only apply HDR to supported titles. I have this option enabled, "on when supported".

This next-gen upgrade to ESO also seem very intriguing.

I have never played The Elder Scrolls before, can I still jump straight into The Elder Scrolls Online or should I try Skyrim instead?

Ugh, I'll probably end up getting one but I know it will get next to zero intended usage, e.g. gaming on the go. I don't have time nor do I want to play games when I am outside. However... I do love new shiny gadgets. 😂

@Shigurui Are you sure? It's off by default so I am guessing the resolution takes a hit meaning it is no longer 4K. Otherwise I'd pick AC3 over Rogue.

Really tempted to pick up Assassin's Creed Rogue Remastered. Only FPS Boosted AC title that offers the full package, 4k60fps that is.

Anyone played it? Is it worth it for the campaign alone?

@EvenStephen7 Unfortunately, that is not strictly true. I tried to redeem my free six months of Apple TV+ but I was not eligible it said, so I had to check the terms.

"May not be combined with other offers providing access to Apple TV+." I was a fool thinking I could extend my already cheap subscription for free...

Played the beta all morning and so far I am really diggin' it. They still have to iron out the kinks but I am still pumped for the final product.

Played and finished it on PS5. Entire playthrough was on 1.23, still filled with bugs, although not game-breaking I'll give them that. However, I did encounter at least 10+ crashes during my time with it, which to me is still unacceptable for a AAA-title.

The game itself is actually very entertaining and fun so it really bums me out it is still such a bug-infested disaster.

@SplooshDmg I see, seems plausible. Too bad but I wouldn't be surprised if it's already in the works. They addressed the difficulty setting-situation rather swiftly.

It needs to be addressed urgently. So does implementing HDR, it's a cyberpunk game for God's sake!

@The_New_Butler I doubt the deals will dry out soon actually. You can still pull off the "3 years gold to ultimate" conversion trick. Only caveat is that you have to let your GPU expire completely and if it's your second time you have to purchase 1 month of GPU (instead of the $1 trial). On top of that, if you wanna play real dirty, combine it with buying Brazilian XLG and activate it using VPN.

Friend of mine did it just a couple of weeks ago. Personally, I still have years left.

Ah, Quantum Break. Man I wish that game receives a well deserved FPS Boost. I'd actually buy it (even though it's on Game Pass) if I knew it'd get that sweet FPS treatment.

Frequent checkpoints are key for me. For example I really wanted to pick up Returnal for PS5 but I had to let it go. I will very rarely have time for hour long runs with no saves in between.

I can definitely like a challenge but nowadays I don't have the luxury to play countless of hours, so I tend to stick with games where I don't get stuck on a single boss for ages.

Looks interesting. I might pick it up. How's the difficulty? Not sure if I can handle something that's Soulslike, unfortunately.

@The_New_Butler I hope you're right. I am lucky enough to have ridiculously fast internet speed already, but still, it would be really cool if I can literally start playing instantly.

Any new content or are they still trying to just patch up the game?

I enjoyed it, really, but it got old real fast. End game felt shallow and pointless.

Dipped into A Plague Tale: Innocence once more. The game is so much better now and looks gorgeous in Dolby Vision. I'll give it a go on PS5 as well to see what the DualSense brings to the table.

Other than that I'll be finishing up my ME3 run on XBSX and then onto Biomutant on PS5. I kind of regret I didn't pick it up for XBSX instead. Upscaled 1080p sucks, hopefully the PS5 upgrade is just around the corner.

Well, having Halo in the list makes it a no-brainer for me but apart from Halo I am also really looking forward to Psychonauts 2.

I’ll consider it then, if it ends up on Game Pass, great I’ll play it on Xbox. If not, I’ll purchase it for PS5.

Second hand market is much larger for PS games here, so I normally buy disc games for PS and play whatever interests me on Game Pass with my Xbox.

Obviously, as a big Ubisoft fan, I am excited. But what I really want is an Ubisoft Plus on console announcement.

Included with Game Pass? Sure, but I am not holding my breath on that one. I’d probably subscribe in a heartbeat regardless.

Given the situation with both PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X, I find their decision to make a Xbox One/PlayStation 4 version of the game fully reasonable. Of course I’d prefer if they had made it only for next-gen consoles but that’s solely because I personally own both systems.

This week I have taken a break from Mass Effect on XBSX to focus on Ghost of Tsushima on PS5, actually.

I will consider picking up AC Odyssey, I want to play it but not with 30 FPS. I reckon there might be a good chance it’s next on the FPS Boost list.

Good, I can definitely wait. This game looks great but I have tons of games to play right now so waiting for that sweet next-gen update is A-OK.

Is Auto-HDR issue resolved? Had to disable it from the system settings to get rid of it. Couldn’t disable it from the compatibility settings, so figured it might’ve been a bug.

Mostly Mass Effect. ME1 down already (well mostly, haven’t finished all the assignments).

Man, it feels good to be back. I last played ME3 when it was released in 2012. Completely forgot how good it was. It’s very unlike me to purchase games on release nowadays but ME was too hard to pass on. So far I most certainly do not regret my decision.

Bought the game second-hand for $20 couple months back. Haven’t touched it yet, was waiting for this specific update. Glad to see it’s finally on the way!

I love it but it is still broken for some games that “supports” it. I always have to force quit AC Unity because if I return to the game using Quick Resume it’s frozen. Haven’t experienced that in any other game though.

Sweet, those are some welcomed updates. I love Quick Resume but it is still (with this update applied) broken for some games that supposedly supports it.

AC Unity for example freezes whenever you jump back in with Quick Resume. I wish I’d let us disable Quick Resume per game basis.

Wait a minute, is Mass Effect Legendary Edition coming to Game Pass? I highly doubt that.

XSX: Second Extinction and Immortals Fenyx Rising.

PS5: Marvel’s Avengers. I, for one, think at least the single player campaign is pretty solid and fun!

I won’t touch this game again until they release the 60 FPS patch. Personally, I don’t care if they have to sacrifice RT to make it happen. I’ll take 60 FPS over RT any day.

Good thing I haven’t even started on it yet I guess.

Picked up Immortals Fenyx Rising for XSX and AC Valhalla for PS5 recently. I’ll start on Immortals right away since I feel it’s a little more easy going and not as time-consuming as AC.

AC will have to wait until summer when I have more free time.

I had never heard of it before but with the Game Pass announcement it definitely caught my attention.

Fantastic news! Already played most of the games but I’ll happily give them another whirl on my 120hz TV.

Despite owning a 120hz capable TV, I still agree that they should focus on 30 to 60 fps upgrades. That’s more important in my opinion and I reckon most people don’t have a 120hz TV anyway.

I bought on a whim for 20 bucks the other day. Brand new disc and all. Figured I’d pick it up cheap and wait for the next-gen patch before I dive into it.
