The Mafia series makes its grand return this week in the form of Mafia: The Old Country; Hangar 13's upcoming prequel that takes us back to 1900s Sicily. Publisher 2K has made a bold decision to price this one at just $50 at launch — including for Xbox Series X|S — which leaves us with one question. Is the game's cut-price temping you to pick this one up on day one?
Video games going up to $70, even $80 has been a tough pill to swallow for some, and we'd certainly welcome a broader range of pricing in the AAA market. It seems as though 2K has factored in the price point when greenlighting and building Mafia: The Old Country's linear, less big-budget experience - which looks like a good way to go by us. Not everything has to be the next GTA, especially for 2K!
