And not in the Netherlands. Oh man, it is xbox one launch all over again. That made me jump to ps4. Since Phil Spencer took over Xbox and made real choices that restored trust in Xbox, I'd switched back to Xbox from PS4. Unfortunately, that trust has now been permanently damaged.

Well, that was it. This is too expensive. I go back to buying just those games I want to play (mostly nintendo and bethesda games) and that's it. All those subscription services are getting too expensive, too fragmentated. I'm paying for game pass, nintendo online, psn, spotify, netflix, disney plus, skyshowtime and prime and still I need hbo. It drives me crazy. And now this price increase made me decide to cancel this service (and others) . Can't afford it anymore. We have to protest as consuners against all this nonsense.

Everytime I was asking for it and now finally it is here. Can't believe I'm playing this right now

Please give me a Heretic + Hexen Collection with Death kings and a new Heretic and new Hexen episode (which connects the lore with Doom)

In 2004, I was a student and I didnt had the money to buy a game pc. I remember that the gta double pack with enhanced graphics was released and a port of Doom 3 on the original xbox. That made me decide to go for xbox instead of a game pc or ps2. I bought the pgr2 bundle.

I think the next xbox is a xbox branded standardized game pc. Which means you can play steam games. Which means you can play playstation pc games.. Holy *****.

There is still a reason NOT to buy a PS5 when you want to play xbox games and that is game pass. When the newest call of duty is releasing every year on gamepass, you only have to play one or two new games a year to benefit from you subscription and there you go. I know not everyone has a xbox series, but I have and because of game pass I didn't buy COD this year for my PS5 and I'm getting Doom TDA day one on game pass. And when you stick with Playstation that is totally ok. But it will cost you.

Well, day one release on playstation could happen, still you can argue what's the better deal. 80 euro's per game on playstation or day one on game pass. The choice is yours. I have a game pass subscription, a xbsx and a PS5. No need to buy doom the dark ages on my ps5, because it is on game pass day one.

So we all bought the game because it wasn't in gamepass and now we have to pay more for gamepass per month for a game we already have.

@NEStalgia Or Hexen/Heretic.. Doom eternal had already some references to those games. Now they own the ip, there could be a integrated story with Dsparil, Korax as enemies.

I think core is misleading, because game pass console has no online multiplayer. I believe that everything that is in a 'core' should be available in the upgraded plans. I wasnt aware of the fact that the currenr gamepass plan doesnt have online multiplayer either because I have ultimate. That was a little confusing and shocking to be honest.

Man, it takes ages to get Hexen and Heretic out of license hell.

I like the gamepad controls even better than the keyboard mouse. Sitting on the couch, playing aoe2. Man, cant they implement these controls on al those games of my youth, like red alert 2 and dungeon keeper for example. Great, great job!!!

Is there still the option to install the Xbox One x version after this update? Because I dont have any space left on my ssd.

Please hexen and heretic. They could release them as a classic doom addon. Hexen 2 as a quake addon as it is build with the quake engine. Oh and remasters of soldier of fortune and wolfenstein 2009.

Oh no! Was still hoping for Quake 4 (incl Quake 2 bonus), Return to Castle wolfenstein tides of war and PGR 2.

Already own Quake arena arcade on 360 (digitally) . However the store on my series x says I have to buy it. Or should I have a little more patience?

My first xbox was the Original Xbox. I moved out in 2004 and wanted to buy a console for myself. At that time the GTA double pack was released for xbox with enhanced graphics so I choose Xbox. Had a lot of fun with PGR2, Doom 3, Wolfenstein etc. A friend bought an xbox360 two years later and I followed. Played so much call of duty 3 (Eder dam, Capture the flag). Xbox one era started with huge dispappointment here in the Netherlands. It wasn’t available for a whole year, so we moved to PS4. The last two years however there was an xbox one s here for Gamepass and now we are all back here with xbox on the series x.

Time to acquire Activision Blizzard.

Please let it be Quake. Doom Eternal was amazing, sometimes it felt like a singleplayer version of Quake 3 (because of the architecture of the maps). A real Quake reboot would be awesome.

The gold games are always a little bit of a disappointment. They should integrate it in game pass. What if you are allowed to claim 1 or 2 (select) titles every month from the game pass library? That would make more sense.

2, one that came with the one s and one that came with the Series s.

Stupid delivery

I have a Xbox Series S and it is running smooth. Most likely because there is no ray tracing option I guess.

@TwinFami Doom 3 was THE reason i bought the original xbox. I also Still have the steel case of doom 3.

All gamers are equal, but some gamers are more equal than others.

As a Nintendofan, I always thought it would be cool if Nintendo bought Sega, Capcom and Konami. However I don't think that is ever going to happen. The game library of these developers is perfect for gamepass. Also i'm afraid for more stupid one time exclusives with Sony like street fighter 5 and castlevania requiem.

With gamepass, it is ok to release this game in parts. First release single player part 1, then multiplayer, then SP part 2, then new multiplayer maps and so on. Halo Infinite could end up as a game as a service which gets updated infinitely.

I bought the pgr2 xbox bundle, it was in 2004 I guess. The duke was already replaced by the Controller S, so I never had the pleasure to play with the duke.

It stays in the living room, where it is a big hit since game pass. The xsx gets a nice spot on my desktop, next to the ps4. And since I already have a wireless router, this is the situation for the years to come.

I would't be surprised if Gamepass Xcloud is going to be announced for the switch shortly after it is out of bèta.

PS5 design is not only terrible, it’s huge size doesn’t convince me Sony is delivering good hardware. There were rumours they had cooling issues. Compared to its huge and terrible design, these rumours may be true.
