Last Chance! What Are Your Final Hopes For The Xbox Games Showcase 2025?

I'm hoping for Metroid Prime 4 to be a Xbox exclusive.

I would love to see something about the upcoming gears games and fable aswell hopefully some proper gameplay footage and with a bit of luck some shadow drops on gamepass!

It will be the best show of the 3.

I think we will see games announced for S2 day 1 alongside PS etc.

The gears remake, potentially something about halo going to other consoles and DLC for Indy and I also think there will be something for Forza motorsport (seems to have been largely forgotten) potentially a tease of a new Forza horizon

Personally I'm interested on the presentation of the Asus/Xbox handheld console with z2 extreme processor. Then a glimpse of the Xbox-PC launcher, for Windows, especially designed for handheld.

as for the games I would like to watch a bit of Perfect Dark, Fable and Contraband, in addition to all the other Xbox Studios.

It's got to be a new banjo kazooie game for me I would die if that happens but I won't get my hopes up other than that suprises and perfect dark fable and gears of War gameplay and contraband which I've heard rumours about

I'd love to see State of Decay. More of Fable. Plague Tale 3. Maybe Tomb Raider?

That, and some unannounced games and game pass reveals. That would make for a great showcase as far as I'm concerned.

@andrewsqual Christ mate, it's not that serious. Most of us just want some new games to play. Can't imagine writing a post that long just full of moaning, but each to their own.

@TapeLoader All I can say is that making AAA games is hard. The resources required are immense and one misstep could financially ruin your company. Even GTA6 can’t give an exact date. At least Xbox when they do give a date it generally dead on….

This is my favorite showcase … super hyped!

Some great Game Pass reveals and possibly FFIX would be fine with me. I wish I didn't have to wait until September for FF Tactics, but at least it's coming.

I just about certain that there will be something Gears of War related. Maybe some Gears of War: Reloaded content, but more likely some gameplay from Gears of War: E-Day as I think that game will release in fall 2026.

What I would love to see is an announcement for Gears Tactics 2, and Gears 6, though with E-Day in development, I highly doubt they will be working on 6 too.

Other than that, I'd like to see confirmation of the remaster of Fallout 3, though I hope they do a better job than they have done with Oblivion, at least as far as optimisation is concerned.

All I really want is another solid show, full of reveals that are going to make my wallet cry...

@TapeLoader It's been 17 years since the last game, so I'll take anything at this point! Personally, it checks-off a lot of boxes for me as a fan, so I'm very, very excited.

I couldn’t have predicted the announcements from the State of Play that made that show so impactful for me (Bloodstained! Romeo is A Deadman!) so let me try to sum up how I could be excited

I want a brand new game from a creator I love that leans into what I’ve enjoyed in the past, while adding new surprises. I’d like some trailers that differentiate themselves from others in the show (this kinda killed summer games fest for me) and most of all I would love to see believable release dates for late 2025/2026 please!!!

This are the games that I hope to see in todays Xbox Showcase:

• Gears of War Reloaded and E-Day;
• Fable gameplay and release date;
• Everwild re-reveal;
• Contraband Re-reveal;
• Ninja Gaiden 4 release date;
• Holow Knight Silksong release date;
• Clockwork Revolution gameplay and release date;
• New Halo game that continues the fondation of Infinite.
  My personal hopes and dreams for the showcase.
  If we get half of this, it will be quite good.

Besides the obvious gameplay and cinematic footage for announced games like Fable, Perfect Dark, Everwild, Contraband, Clockwork Revolution, etc... what I would like in terms of new content includes:

• Sequels to Mechassault, Brutal Legend, Kameo, Viva Pinata, Fuzion Frenzy, Voodoo Vince, Vigilante 8, Spyro the Dragon, and Crimson Skies.
• Port of StarCraft 1 & 2 to consoles.
• KOTOR Remake re-revealed and officially announced for Xbox.
• Death Stranding 2 Xbox Launch confirmed to coincide with the PS5 launch.
• Steam Support officially launched for Devices
• Direct sequel to Halo Infinite continuing the story (not a reboot!) Spin-offs from other studios would also be welcome.

Most importantly, StarCraft Ghost revival!

Persona 4 remake, as I've been saying for months now.

There is nothing more I’d rather see than some gameplay for Gears of War E-Day.

Some concrete info on Fable and Perfect Dark, and finally what the hell Everwild is!

May be a pipe dream, but anything from Halo studios would be exciting. Even if it’s just the rumored Halo Combat Evolved remake. Can’t wait to see what we get!

Fable and Elder Scrolls 6 are the only things still in the pipeline that I care about (the only things we know about), and it’s too early for ES6 except some cinematic nonsense trailer, so as far as I’m concerned this is either a Fable showcase or a big nothingburger. That could possibly change if they revealed something we don’t yet know about, but it’s foolish to bet on unknowns.

I would be mildly pleased if some lesser known stuff got ported to PS5; the idea of a Quantum Break or Sunset Overdrive platinum is mighty enticing. It would be nice to have all of Remedy’s and Insomniac’s stuff in one place too, and to me they always felt like those high quality PlayStation cinematic masterpiece type of games.

My hopes for this showcase include:

What's certain - it's going to blow State of Play, Nintendo Direct and Summer games fest out the water for it's 1st/3rd party games announcements. It really is the new E3.

Besides that, I have not yet seen a bad Xbox Showcase so anything to wash the Summer snore Fest from memory

I want to be surprised. It's been a long time since I've been truly surprised.

Failing that, a nice batch of Indie game pass titles.

@TapeLoader I agree it is hard to envision, but the same thing was said years ago about releasing 1st party games on competitor platforms because it undercuts their hardware sales, but now here we are.

I do believe one advantage would be getting GamePass access onto Steam and unlocking the full Steam library as potential GamePass content going forward. It gives them a lot of options versus being a locked system with limited content to offer, especially in a world where studios keep skipping over Xbox entirely.

It's definitely the largest stretch on my wishlist and maybe there is some way to do a Lite version if they do anything at all. It's just a hope of mine and definitely a mic drop wishlist moment for me.

I think Persona 4 Remake is all but confirmed.
We need to see Fable.
A Plague Tale I guess it's confirmed too.
I want a new game from Cococucumber.
More RGG Studio!
I think we'll see a little more about SEGA's revivals.
And maybe Final Fantasy XVI.

@TapeLoader Yep, 15 years ago, I woulda said Turok 1 & 2 were the only good ones, but in the absence of any new games since 2008, I've revisited all of them multiple times and have learned to love each for different reasons. Nightdive better remaster all of 'em, especially Rage Wars!!!

I'd like some future platform news or at least a clearer signal of intent in that domain.

An Elite 3 announcement, with all the bells and whistles would be cool. Don't know if that rumour is still floating around or not.

Anything from the core franchises. I'd go nuts for a Combat Evolved Remake reveal. Wanna see what Toys for Bob have been cooking. Same for Double Fine. Clockwork Orange update feels long overdue. Perfect Dark as well.

As long as I walk away from this showcase with confidence in Xbox's next 18 months or so. I'll be happy.

Sega please show more. They teased all us millennials last year. Show me Crazy Taxi or Jet Set Radio!

@TapeLoader That's why I said "new E3." It can't replace E3 as that was a different era of gaming, but it's the closest thing in regards to the level of AAA game announcements you get.

Please give me a Heretic + Hexen Collection with Death kings and a new Heretic and new Hexen episode (which connects the lore with Doom)

I entirely agree, @TapeLoader. It is absolutely shameful that Microsoft deemed it okay to release such a broken mess. If it needed another 6 months in the oven, then that's what it should be given.

I'm hoping that they will have learned from the backlash (as Ubisoft did), but I cannot see it as Bethesda have spent their entire existence putting out games that are in a poor state...
