I played the demo for lost planet 3 way back when it came out but never got around to playing the full game. It was a lot of fun, looking forward to playing it again
@RedShirtRod I was a machine gunner in the marines. I agree that the multiplayer component of call of duty is not realistic at all, but if you watch the npcs in the campaign they are taking cover and bounding etc.
I was really impressed with this game. It really made Tetris fun again for me. The music and visual integration reminded me of LUMINES and looks awesome on an OLED.
Dragon Quest builders 2 is a fantastic game, I’ve already played it a ton on my Switch though. For anyone who is a fan of DQ or Minecraft (or even better both) you should definitely give it a shot.
@Tharsman I agree, I have an old Xbox one s in the basement and I thought I would play it when my wife was watching tv in the living room. More often than not she ends up watching tv in the downstairs living room because it’s hard to play on the old hardware. Although the kids don’t seem to mind nearly as much, they are content with the Xbox one S.
This is a question I have been asking myself since I got my Series X on launch day. On one hand I was deep in the quarantine here in the U.S. at the time and anything mildly exciting was worth doing at the time. I am a huge Call of Duty fan and pairing the 120fps multiplayer with a new lg oled was almost worth buying the series x all by itself. I play hundreds of hours a year and 120fps almost feels like a cheat code. Also, I bought 2 years of gamepass with the ea pass work around. Gamepass is a game changer, but I didn’t need the series a for it. I do feel like I would have been perfectly fine with the Xbox one X I was using for another year, and it is kind of lame that there aren’t any mind blowing next gen games yet, but that is how the 360 was until Gears came out. At the end of the day, since it was not a financial hardship I believe it was worth it for me.
I like this a lot. The art style is beautiful. Also, there have been several not great attempts at fire fighter games and this looks like it will work.
Wow, this was hard. Battlefield 1943 is the first one I played and I loved it. Battlefield 4 was so impressive as a launch title last-gen. Battlefield 1 is probably the one I played the most, but ultimately Battlefield V is my favorite because of the quick ttk and WWII island hopping campaign. As a former Marine machine gunner I always had a problem with lighting someone up with an LMG and them just walking it off....
@russbeer that would explain why I’ve never heard of it. Outside of a Telltale choose your own adventure style game I believe it would be difficult to capture what makes Peaky Blinders great in game form.
I feel like Epic is overplaying their hand and if they keep this up they will lose their player base. There just needs to be a legitimate competitor in the mobile. PUBG mobile doesn’t reach as broad an audience.
Mexico does have a lot of interesting geography to cover; however, It does not have a huge back catalogue of famous racing cars produced there. I think Japan would make the most sense.
120 FPS is a game changer. I’ve been playing Cold War at 120fps since January on series x and it feels like a major advantage. There is no motion blur when spinning around to aim. Milliseconds count in online multiplayer. Can’t wait to put BFV in 120 mode.
Awesome! I played The Show for the first time in years (I think the last one I owned was on PS Vita). What a fun game. The game is so detailed I could see my office building from PNC Park.
I feel like this should have been common sense. I don’t keep track of what quick resumes and what doesn’t so it has been sort of a let down. I’m happy to see they are addressing it.
I’ve never been happier about the state of the gaming community. There is a lot of camaraderie across platforms. I’ve always liked trying all available systems and never understood getting angry about someone else’s gaming preferences.
Love Battlefield, can’t wait to see what they have in store for us this time. I tried playing Enlisted thinking it would be a good substitute, I was very disappointed.
The one downside to Gamepass/Netflix/Apple Music is it takes the joy out of finding a bargain. I got the $5 gift card and couldn’t find anything I didn’t already own or wanted. The upside of course is I am never without something interesting to play/watch/listen to.
That is amazing! I was considering buying it but have so many other games right now I was going to wait. I will be playing this day one. Gamepass is the best!
@Dezzy70 yes we are cousins for sure Most of my ancestors immigrated to the US from England about 3 generations ago. Also, one great grandfather from Ireland.
@Dezzy70 I would agree that is frustrating. Is the Rock popular in Europe? I also wonder if he is launching the cross promotional energy drinks there at the same time as they US. I know I was definitely frustrated back in the day (being from the US) and reading all the awesome retro games Nintendo was launching on the eshop in the UK on Nintendolife. With the internet it’s not like we don’t know what is being rolled out across the pond anymore.
I am cautiously optimistic. I loved my Xbox 360 so much, but MS had some very non consumer friendly positions when it came to the RROD and their competition. I hope this new found success doesn’t go to their heads. In my opinion the same was true for Sony in the PS4 era. I like this new friendlier world of gaming persists.

Re: Former Call Of Duty Boss Says Players 'Don’t Realise How Much Work' Goes Into The Series
@RedShirtRod lol, isn’t that the truth! No one would buy the “hurry up and wait” game. I tend to think of these games more as virtual paintball.

Re: Pick One: Which Of These Six Upcoming Xbox Games Are You Most Excited For?
If I had to pick only one (and I do) I say flight simulator. I have always loved flight games and open world games…. This is the pinnacle of both.

I got a Thrustmaster flight stick to go with this and Star Wars Squadrons. Very excited.

Subnautica with a side of Subnautica. I don’t know how I missed it when it came out but I am obsessed at the moment.
Re: Adidas Is Teaming Up With Xbox To Release Some Cool New Kicks
@SegataSanshiro Yeah it’s crazy. Good thing I’ve been wearing shell-toes for the last 20 years and don’t have to bankrupt myself for shoes. I know a few friends who do though and I’ve seen some reporting on the shoe grey market. https://www.google.com/amp/s/finance.yahoo.com/amphtml/news/global-sneaker-resale-market-could-reach-30-billion-by-2030-cowen-191003371.html

Re: The Xbox Series X Seagate Expansion Card Is On Sale Again In The UK
I’m holding out until it’s $100. Until then I will chug along using the external mechanical drive to store all non Xbox series X games.
Re: Free Play Days: Try These Xbox Games For Free (May 6-9)
There is a Peaky Blinders game!! How do I not know this?

Re: Wreckfest Receives Exclusive 4K, 60FPS Upgrade For Xbox Series X
I have been enjoying Wreckfest quite a bit. I started playing it thinking it would be a weekend distraction and ended up playing it for a few weeks.
Re: Guide: All Games With FPS Boosts On Xbox Series X & Xbox Series S
Sniper 4 definitely benefited from the FPS boost, but Fallout 4 took a big hit to the resolution. I turned it off after a few minutes to get 4K back.
Re: Reaction: Xbox Might Just Be In Its Strongest Position Ever Right Now
