Team Xbox has really been getting behind the excitement of MLB The Show 21's release on Xbox and Xbox Game Pass this week - so much so, that Xbox has actually officially partnered with the MLB's Toronto Blue Jays!
This was announced by Xbox Canada on Twitter yesterday afternoon:
No further details have been provided at the moment about what the partnership might mean or what kind of partnership it is, but it certainly sounds as though Xbox is taking The Show's arrival on the platform very seriously.
As for the game itself, we're really enjoying its first outing on Xbox and Game Pass, stating in our review that it "definitely hits it out of the park... at least for the most part," and "newcomers will likely be overwhelmed (in a good way) at the sheer amount of content at their disposal."
What are your thoughts on this new Xbox / MLB partnership? Let us know in the comments below.

If they wanna get big time in Europe some sponsor ship or big partnership with football and get the FIFA Game sponsorship back, would do wonders for Xbox consoles, gamepass and xcloud.
This is one of a few reasons why Sony took Europe after the xbox360 days and had such success.
They sponsor lots of football and the champions League, football is big and trendy in Europe and if your company are massively associated with it you become trendy as well.
@Dezzy70 just don't be sponsoring the proposed super league.... don't want to be trending for the wrong reasons. Bit in all honesty I've seen a ton of advertising by xbox for The Show and it's honestly looking like an Xbox game....Jim Ryan and Co must be dying on the inside
The blue jays rival should get sony to sponsor them. Then we could have a console war on the field.
Awesome! I played The Show for the first time in years (I think the last one I owned was on PS Vita). What a fun game. The game is so detailed I could see my office building from PNC Park.
@Dezzy70 Xbox used to sponsor the Seattle Sounders soccer team, but that was replaced with Zulily a while back lol
@Krzzystuff LMAO! That would definitely be ill-advised.
@PhhhCough Blue Jays are the only Canadian team in the league, not a baseball guy so don't know if they officially have a rival... there used to be a team in Montreal long ago. The MLB might be the official rival as they hate it when the Jays do well in the playoffs. I think their American viewership drops and they don't get as much from the Canadian broadcasting deal either.
@Krzzystuff As a Yankees fan, I'm not a fan of the up and coming Blue Jays. They are in same division, so in my mind they are at least kind of rivals.
Side note - my son has gotten pitching training from a former MLBer of the old Montreal Expos. I got to a game there decades ago.. it was odd to watch a live baseball game and the stadium announcer was speaking French 🤣
