It seems to be coming in under the radar, but Hood: Outlaws & Legends arrives on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S as soon as next month, and Focus Home Interactive has dropped an extensive look into the game.
The multiplayer centred action game is a new take on the Robin Hood story, pitting two teams of four against each other in a variety of heist based missions. Both teams will be competing to come out on top and be the first to claim the treasure that resides within each map.
The video dives into how matches play out, delving into how the AI enemies will hinder your progress, and examples for how certain classes will help assist your team. It genuinely looks like it could be a surprisingly fun multiplayer experience, offering something new to the table.
"Every game of Hood: Outlaws & Legends pits you and your friends against a rival group of four other players who are also aiming to steal the treasure. You and your team must work together to select your band of complementary outlaws, each with unique abilities to offer, before infiltrating vast, medieval strongholds. Outsmart the opposing team and villainous State to find, steal, and return the riches unfairly taken from the people."
Hood: Outlaws & Legends' success will depend on its support. Hopefully this finds an audience which encourages consistent development to continue. Judging by the video, it's going to require a lot of team work to be victorious, so if you're looking for something new to play with friends during these dry gaming months, this could be a sleeper hit when it launches on May 10. Just a few weeks to go now!

mmmmmmmm....sadly a miss for me, were it not an online, pvp focussed effort I would have been right there on day 1
Seems like a For Honor type game. Playing with randos might suck. I can see nerfs coming already.
Looks interesting. I was always into the Robin Hood stories growing up and the fact that they chose to try a new multiplayer style is bold.
