Re: Obsidian Reveals How Halo Studios Helped With The Outer Worlds 2

@RegnumSolipsi Cool. That's your opinion.

My opinion is that Halo 4 was the worst story with the godawful, show horned romance.

The sound design was murder on the ears with everything being way too tinny. To the point I had to create an entirely sepeste audio profile to kill the highs a bit. And the multiplayer was awful.

Halo 5 was alright. Especially War zone.

Halo Infinite was back the opposite direction. Desync that still isn't fixed to this day. Player outlines. Terrible mtx system. Unfinished campaign with worse ending than Halo 2's cliffhanger. Missing entire modes and features from previous games. I can go on all day.

Re: Don't Like The New Xbox Game Hubs? Here's How To Turn Them Off

I suspect there is a significant overlap in the people saying "Boohoo extra button press" and "Boohoo ads".

Some people have never developed user interfaces and it shows.

The point is to be as quick as possible with as few interactions as possible. Some people are just happy settling for what scraps they can get I guess.

If you did this anywhere in an enterprise setting you'd be fired on the spot. But for consumer? A-Okay because it feeds them more junk.

Thankfully you don't have to deal with all the BS on PC and can disable every thing you don't like.

Re: Xbox Emphasises That Its Next-Gen Devices 'Aren't Locked To A Single Store'

@Questionable_Duck Microsoft has always been very careful with their wording. Xbox means Xbox One and Series.

360 means Xbox 360.

Original Xbox means original Xbox.

The saying Xbox library only guarantees the last two generations.

Unless of course you're implying this means they're bringing back the backwards compatibility program so the tons of omitted 360 and original Xbox games in peoples' libraries can now be played.

I'm which case I'd image they to be making a huge deal over it. Whereas this is a footnote.

Re: Talking Point: Did Xbox Just Hint At A Hybrid Next-Gen Console?

The Xbox ROG Ally X is a hybrid device.

It outputs to anything with a HDMI port and you can use a controller of your choice with it.

All while running higher performance when plugged in due to no power restrictions. You just have the option to run full power and flat line the battery when unplugged ASAP, unlike the Switch.

@FatalBubbles

Essentially going to be like the, Xbox ROG Ally X.

It can only play Xbox games that have a PC version.

So example: You cannot play the Xbox version of Doom 2016 on the Xbox ROG Ally X. Because the Xbox version of it is not on PC. You have to play the steam version.

Lost Odyssey? You cannot even play that on the Xbox ROG Ally X because there is no PC version.

So unless they have a true emulation layer thay can play Xbox games, which I want to point out they said multiple times is not possible, even though anyone with a brain knows it is BS, the backwards compatibility will be limited to ownership of PC games that are also on Xbox.
