Last week, we found out that a "core group" of developers are left working on Highguard following mass layoffs at Wildlight Entertainment - and it's now been discovered that the game's official website has gone offline, sparking further fears for the game's future.
Indeed, if you head over to the Highguard website (at the time of writing), you're simply greeted with a "site unavailable" message - with links to the game's social channels the only active redirects on the home page right now.
Here's what we're seeing at the time of posting:

Over on the game's Discord, one of the developers has commented on this; explaining that the site is being "transferred and simplified" following recent changes at the studio - but it's currently a "low priority" as remaining staff focus on "delivering content and updates" for Highguard. This Discord response has been posted out to X, which we'll share down below:
As of now, the game itself is still online and playable - and just last week, the folks left at the studio assured us that "a core group of developers continue innovating on and supporting the game". In this case, we don't expect the game to disappear just yet - but all eyes are on Highguard and future updates as the game's player base continues to dwindle.
