Microsoft Rewards Quietly Increases Its Prices For Xbox Gift Cards

Microsoft Rewards has changed quite a bit in recent months, with nerfs to points earn rates and cost increases for reward redemptions - and it looks as though another MS Rewards price bump has happened again this week.

We first came across this revelation on Reddit, where one user questioned if the redemption values had changed for Microsoft Rewards. Their evidence suggested the cost of things had indeed gone up over in the US, with a $10 Xbox Gift Card now coming in at 10,000 Microsoft Reward points.

This doesn't appear to be an isolated case, either. The comments section is filled with fellow Xbox users seeing similar price bumps - with players in the UK, Canada, Germany and more commenting that redeeming Xbox Gift Cards with Microsoft Points costs more than it did just a few days ago in their region.

We've not heard anything directly from Microsoft about this yet so it appears to have been a quiet change for the MS Rewards program for now, and it's clearly frustrating some users who were some way towards their own Xbox Gift Card goals before having the goalposts moved. We'll keep an eye on this one to see if Xbox comments on these Microsoft Rewards changes.
