Ever since it was first announced all the way back in 2023, we've taken a particular interest in MOUSE: P.I. For Hire; the noir-inspired first-person shooter from developer Fumi Games. Late last year, we thought we finally had our locked-in release date for March 2026 - but now, the team has delayed the game a little further in a last-minute address to fans.
Posting out to its online channels this week, Fumi Games has pushed back the release date for Mouse: P.I. For Hire until April 16th, 2026. The team cites a desire to "deliver you the best game we can" as the reason for needing just a few more weeks to launch the Cuphead-style FPS on Xbox.

As you can see, the team closes out by saying that it's "excited to share more of the game with you in the lead up to launch" - so it's safe to say we can all expect to see more Mouse: P.I. For Hire footage in the coming weeks. There's still less than two months to go until release!
