Arguably the biggest Xbox release of 2026 so far has been the long-awaited arrival of Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade, but how well has it actually sold across Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S in its first week?
Well, we don't have specific figures just yet, but the "Top Paid" Xbox charts have just updated for the first time since it released, and the game is off to an impressive start — it's currently in 9th position overall.
This makes it the highest-placed new release in the Xbox charts right now.

There are multiple reasons why FF7 Remake will have sold well on Xbox, even beyond the fact that it's one of the most requested Xbox releases of the past few years. For one, it's available at the pretty low launch price of just £39.99 / $39.99, and as a "limited early" bonus, it even comes with the original version of Final Fantasy 7 as well. Don't forget it's an Xbox Play Anywhere title too, which means you get a free PC version when buying it on console.
We'll have to wait and see if Square Enix shares specific details on Final Fantasy 7 Remake's Xbox sales in the near future, but first impressions seem to be positive!
For what it's worth, there are some other new releases in the Top Paid charts as well — MAVRIX by Matt Jones is surprisingly high in 18th position, while Tavern Manager Simulator is in 85th position. The Deluxe Edition of Final Fantasy 7 Remake hasn't fared anywhere near as well as the standard release, ranking in 69th position as things stand.
