Re: The First 'Scorn' Reviews Have Arrived, And Feedback Is Mixed So Far

EdgarTheBug

I'm all for this game, because it's not the same regurgitated casual gameplay like most today, for example, get on a horse or in a car, go A to B going high and low whilst getting your hand held along the way with directions or voice dialogue's, find an item, add cosmetic clothing, use skill points for upgrades, solve a quest, watch a cinematic scene 20 times, beat a boss or a mini boss by hacking, slashing, shooting with a rifle, go to X Y Z, to then finish a check list. Games that leave me to my own demise having to use my brain by problem solving with puzzles or just naturally trying to find my own way is right up my alley, but most people get stressed out with stuff like that because they don't want to try, people are used to the same types of gameplay these days like mentioned above and if it ain't that, then it ain't good.

Re: Rumour: CNBC Suggests Amazon Isn't Planning To Acquire EA

EdgarTheBug

I have never really had any interest in their games for years ever since they went full sports live service only games, i haven't purchased an EA game for a while, since need for speed carbon/most wanted 2005 and FIFA street 2, but if Amazon ever did end up buying them it's better then tencent, I suppose.

Re: Xbox's Phil Spencer Understands Why Gamers Don't 'Get' The Metaverse

EdgarTheBug

I am getting to an age now, where games are a becoming a selective choice due to them been over the top, stress inducing, expensive/grindy, live services that don't respect my time. A lot of games are not well suited for my age category these days so seeing these fantasy meta verse forms of virtual reality entertainment coming into play is something that doesn't suit me either, Especially constantly wearing a VR headset so have a good one kids make sure to enjoy reality also but long live the old-school form of gaming & bring on The Callisto Protocol.

Re: Xbox Game Pass Feels Like Browsing At Blockbuster, Says Xbox Exec

EdgarTheBug

I always remember going to block buster with my mother she would rent a movie and get me some bargain game deals that was 2 for 15 or 3 for 20 which was the low quality deal but you know you can't go wrong with that as kid with FIFA 96 thrown in for like 50p, as I got older I would go on my own a lot, I started to know the worker behind the counter really well a guy called justin (rocker/hippy type of dude) he would let me buy 18 age rated games by putting the disc in a different case, i come home one time and my mother went mad, good times.

Re: Dying Light 2 Lead Designer Says Xbox Series S GPU Is 'Holding Us Back' From 60FPS

EdgarTheBug

You've gotta respect the open response from the developer, at the end of the day you can only fit so much on a single piece of paper know matter how big or small the design is. Erasing some of the designs to find a gap to expand & make it look better in depth can be task that is hard to furfill and complete to show to the audience with delightment, and that's how it is with a limited amount of memory to cram on & implement on a CPU GPU, it's a shame many people don't know it, you get what you're given I suppose.
