Another game like The Ascent would be cool.

I know profits need to be had and it's clearly not rising for plenty of publisher's and development studios currently but I like to imagine that with GTA 6 coming out soon, it is one of the main reason why the gaming industry is having mass layoffs because a very very very high percentage of gamers will be playing nothing else but the latest grand theft auto game, plenty of people won't even bat an eye lid to any other game once it comes out for a very long time, it will leave a lot of studios/publishers in the dust or maybe even leading them to close down so they maybe getting prepared for that if push comes to shove.

It took me 300+ hours to complete the main game which is a bargain in today's market so this dlc is definitely worth my hard earned money, I cannot wait.

I can imagine it will be like a board room meeting with some subliminal waffle that is primarily aimed towards share holder's but with a small dose of information sprinkled in for their customers to calm them all down on social media, everything will still go to plan but in a different direction under the radar, that will slowly fulfill their new endeavours in the all new digital future.

It looks cool but it's a live service game so i don't have the time and the mental capacity to keep up with these types of games that get updated with new features all the time, I tried elder scrolls online way back and I don't think I'll ever touch one again.

I think this maybe the first time they bring players a new type of campaign mode like what has happened with other modes over the past couple of releases, could it be a live a service type mode like the recent zombie mode with the publisher/developer wanting player retention.

@eire-shabba Well I buy most of my games physically on Xbox but to be fair, let's say if 40% of games like some upcoming games get released on playstation and the rest stay on Xbox like some originals/classics it wouldn't be that bad because those new games will still be on Xbox but with the profile related thing you mentioned I play on pc as well so my game saves & profile stats will stay on that side of things as well so I wouldn't be loosing out on much really but if they go full throttle putting every single game on other platforms !day one!, that will be really really poo.

I mean they're a software type of company after all so it is expected but if they keep the traditional long standing games on Xbox like Forza, gears of war & so on it isn't that bad in my eyes.

With them doing the compact mode on the Xbox app pc side of things recently i could see it happening, hopefully it's not a streaming device though because I would buy one.

@dreadful Yup that baffles me because what do they produce except from call of duty, overwatch and the odd diablo, spyro and crash bandicoot game?......Absolutely naff all.

I know loosing a job with reasonably good pay can be bad but I can imagine after getting another one some of those developers and whoever else will have big sigh of relief not producing bloody call of duty every year, hats off to them though for making that garbage every yearly cycle.

@Kaloudz When they put the ban hammer down I can imagine it would be something daft like the recent bike Pokémon (Koraidon), it won't be jigglypoofs, charlizards & machumps 😂

I've not played it yet, I am going to it once I've gone through hi-fi rush but it's great to see it taking eyes off from all of the battle royale modes we have had over the years because I cannot stand those games as a service type shooters now but I can imagine it won't last, people want those skins.

That's a shame, I do mostly use cex to sell dvds and other bits of tech but in my local town there was three shops but now there is only one, it is the smallest still standing, I can imagine them closing down in the future.

@GamingFan4Lyf Yup, press start, load game, complete and then maybe press the online button later. (Which I never did back in the day), but now it's all god dam integrated with every button click as soon as the game starts to load.

Red dead Redemption 1 & 2 but rockstar will probably cash in on the game like what they did with the recent update to GTA V which will be unfortunate but it's a no brainer I suppose.

@Vipor007 It is horrible when that happens, my mates was nagging me to play world war z recently, i bought it for cheap on pc but the game came back on gamepass a few days later and then out of nowhere my mates stopped playing it.

With the way the Xbox interface/eco-system is similar across two generations and maybe for the future generations I feel it is a great starting point to build an Xbox catalogue of games for those who don't care about the latest and greatest games so on that note It's hard to say to be honest.

I'm guessing the rise of players having the time off from work over the christmas period, that gives those the opportunity to finally play it has given the game a lower review score.

Hopefully we get more games that are not call of duty from Activision/Xbox now.

I would rather buy them because in the long run, after I have completed let's say avatar and nothing else whilst subscribing just to play call of duty online , I will still be paying for it, especially after subscribing for like 3 years straight, it would cost me short of 500 for that one game.

I've not played this game because it's not my thing, I do keep with the news that is related to it though but in some areas of the internet I have seen people just jumping on the band wagon of hate for the fun of it, like posting frequent screenshots of the overall steam review score every time it goes down, those people love to see it happen, that's how silly it is so on that note I agree with the dev in a fashion.

If anything embracer needs to be layed off out of the industry with the special money that was gifted to them whilst doing nothing with it.
