If stats/progression carried over to the pc version I would sign up and play it but great game nonetheless, one of my favourites.

I am against cloud gaming but it would be sweet if they could add an app to stream games on the 360 and give player's, who may not unfortunately be able to pay for a new console, a cheap limited subscription to use it but I can imagine the WiFi standard isn't really ideal for what the servers request for a good/standard experience playing a current release.

We all have our tastes and Final Fantasy has it's history leading people to know the name of the game but I'd like to believe a high majority of Xbox gamers are not into these Japanese/Anime (primarily Final Fantasy) looking type of games because many aren't conditioned into them when buying and playing all of them on an Xbox compared to Playstation but that's just my opinion.

Just partnering with another company is a safety measure in itself so it could be said Microsoft/Xbox hesitated doing it but having multiple stores in one operating system catches people/players in every net (stores) so id say that was their original intention and i don't blame them with the amount of product's they have in their portfolio now after acquiring Bethesda/Activision but oh well

By the looks of it, they're doing a live service type product but with a single player game. Yes most games do get updates, DLCs, expansion's and so on at the end or the start of a games lifecycle but having a roadmap, off the bat to add even the littlest of things to a single player game is crappy and a no go from me especially when buying it in the first month.

It should be 85% complete at launch not 50 but that is the industry now I suppose.

It is horrible watching a dark scene in a movie and all you can see is the white/grey backlight especially in dark themed game's.

Ignore the edgy music and what not.

They don't fix the bugs in their other products so it's silly to expect more from a company like bethesda.

I am after an oled tv so its a no go for me at the moment

Oddly enough, I have seen something on the internet today were a user on the PC Xbox app, had a bug (It didn't work for me) that showed Xbox games on their account like 360 games and what not so hopefully they are rolling it out.

I can imagine that is where this discussion is stemming from but Videocardz did an article on it.

For a brief insight, If it is the same sku as the standard & current rog ally expect 30fps at 720 on low graphics settings playing oblivion remastered for example but that is a demanding game in itself.

They lost me on this especially with the way COD is now. I know it still sells well but this product, just like halo, needs to be put into a basement for a good bit because its lost its identity in my opinion

So the tactic is to infiltrate and install bloated windows 11 on as many devices as possible like the bronze era with the PC, good luck with that.

If they do a less bloated version of windows though (which wont happen coz AI & telemetry) or even a dedicated Xbox software system I'll consider buying one from whoever.

Streaming old games as old as this is a no go from me along with streaming games in general but because they're that old with an entertainment value length like a bag of fries/chips I wouldn't feel bad just downloading a couple of favourites and be done with them but Microsoft is Microsoft with their all digital cloud future mindset so being able to download them won't happen.

Hopefully the dock isn't a cloud type device in mind.

They do this but it is known that they have a whitelist for their social marketeering streaming partners which get given the privilege to use cheats to promote their games/products to make a younger audience believe that Call of Duty is supercool & rad that keeps them playing and paying but mainly paying.

The crazy reality is there is discs out there made by researcher's and scientists that can hold big amounts of data in the terabyte range.

One of them is called Very Big Disc™ (odd name) I assume funding doesn't get placed for it from certain industries but even if it did the gaming industry wouldn't standardise them because going digital is best for margins and profits.

If it doesn't have a dedicated Xbox operating system I won't be buying one as I don't like the windows iterations that are getting released at the moment.

It looks excellent but I've gotta feeling the story will be very short but with so many locations I can imagine there will be plenty of mini side missions and stranger encounters like in Red Dead Redemption 2 but way more.

I reckon, not 100% that they may release it on last gen console's.

Excellent, it would be great if they released the source code for Elder Scrolls Legend: Battlespire, it is slightly playable but it could do with some serious treatment like arena & daggerfall unity.

I tried getting through it all recently to than get onto red guard, morrwind and the oblivion remaster but it sure is rough these days on modern systems.

I think they need some new platformers whilst trying to make new iconic characters like Banjo-Kazooie with good money put into the character and the platforming game's instead of treating it like an AA indie game which some are but you get the drill.

If they go through with this and you are a PC player, one thing to note is, cross progression isn't a thing and there isn't the play anywhere program thing between the xbox console/pc app for these games.

I bought black ops 3 awhile back on the Xbox pc app side of things and my Microsoft call of duty account tied to it was at level 1 whereas I am at level 1000 on Xbox so I refunded it.

But if they could get it to work that would be sweet.

@Elbow Yeah good shout, agreed, I'm going with it being an under-performer due to people, especially parents thinking they already have one at home and some of them won't have knowledge or some insight into the specification of the Switch 2 so they won't bother.

Edit: and with all of this pricing & tarrifs fiasco, that will make it worse but let's not get into that.

Will all of this locking down, monetising & fleecing like aggressive prices tied to multiple products and services, it seems Nintendo maybe nervous with this new iteration because if they weren't, you would think they would be going all out on welcoming new & existing gamers/customers without hidden costs for this new device especially with the welcome tour app.

At heart, for a company that primarily markets and produces products and games for kids in the gaming industry, they're the **ittiest so I can imagine they would pull a fast one (the current strategies) if it doesn't go down well because at the end of the day everyone already has a switch at home and they definitely don't want people emulating their new games if it goes to crap

(which it wont obviously)

Well what can I say, I'll respect the price if the product is a big 4k 60fps AAA game and it has ray-tracing plus all of the bells and whistles (a nine digit cost in price) compared to let's say a Nintendo game that could & will be at 1080p 30fps with a higher polly count slightly higher than the playstation 2.

Some developers/publishers don't deserve the price tag in my eyes & many will abuse it with broken releases so i am slightly against it but if it's good and not broken on release I'll pay it.

I've had a couple of elite controllers and it's the rubber grip padding on the sides that peel off but I super glued one of them and it's still intact so far lol

If it gives the devs less stress to make the next one shine and advance with new gameplay features then you can't go wrong I suppose.

Hopefully they don't get pushed to waste time & effort on silly micro-transactions that leads the game to be un optimised with trash added on because since it is Warner Bros it wouldn't suprise me.

Battlefield 1

If they could find a way to enable cross progression and cross play on some of these games or for some that aren't on the play anywhere support list yet it would be sweet.

Like for example Black Ops 3, it is playable on the Xbox/windows pc store now but it doesn't have the support & features mentioned but it is an old game now I suppose so I can imagine it won't happen.

I'll be giving this a go, gotta support my fellow British developers out there.

I turned my Xbox offline and completed it just so it didn't happen. It felt wrong but it's not my fault.

In my opinion, Halo is super bland with no marketing flavour/hype these days, I think they shouldn't bother but on that note I voted for 50-60.

If it has an oled screen I'd get one.

If GTA 6 doesn't come out this year then maybe because people start buying consoles just for games like GTA.

I know a few people that don't have a current gen console but they're planning on getting a new console when GTA comes out so if Microsoft does release a new one in 2026 it could be a smart move.

But on that note I won't bother straight away if they do because I want to get a top of the mark 77" OLED Tv.

I don't mind it but when the snap feature was a thing, I do miss that Ui. The Ui at the time was more technical and a little more in-depth, it was buggy and slow but that was the Xbox one era I suppose.
