It's understandable when a high majority of their scopes and strategies are cloud gaming, never ending live service games that are linked to gamepass that keeps people subscribed for longer.
(excluding the recent story driven games that got announced from the pipeline..... finally)
@Deityjester I have noticed that not so long ago and most of those accounts have a random good looking female or a not well known model/celebrity for their profile picture whilst also having fancy fonts and emojis in their profile description/bio but when you look at their recent gaming activities via achievements and what not plenty of them just play FIFA, COD, GTA V, Fornite, and others like Gears of War and Minecraft which wouldn't be something all fellow female players play, it is very predatory if you ask me.
@Lup I can imagine it was because hi-fi rush for example has a low hourly completion rate for game pass compared to the majority of their games which is a live service product or a never ending bloated game like skyrim. They want people locked into games for a long time and staying subscribed that's for sure.
The movie should be just Minecraft like the mario and sonic movie's but as soon as jack black appeared it definitely popped the illusion bubble of imagination via dopamine.
It's understandable because Microsoft still has legacy backend bugs on windows that can be linked to windows XP that still needs to be addressed and patched but they just look the other way these days that leads software developers to make a bug that bypasses a windows bug until they finally update the backend system & code but I suppose this is how it works when a trillion dollar company is now primarily focusing on Ai, cloud infrastructures and 365, gamepass subscriptions that also leads to everyone else waiting until later.
But the funny thing is (excluding security protocols) plenty of their machines/servers use a Linux distro so they must know how messy their operating system is 😂
So it could be said that not marketing black ops 6 with game pass will make the uninformed buy it outright which is respectable when making money but even if you pay for it outright more money will be spent on it due to gamepass replacing gold to play online and if Call of duty is the only game some people play more money will be spent on it.
So paying for game pass ultimate (for example) for two years consecutivly at the price of £13 to play online including the game bought outright it would cost £382 and with a few season passes and the odd skin added on the average relatable player could be spending £500+.
It is harsh but business is business unfortunately so on that note I'll be buying it on steam 😂
Bring it on, there is a few things that was stated in the recent blog that gives me a little bit of distaste like the game being always online, it's horrible going for a high round and it disconnects but then to avoid that going offline was the answer but it's not possible to do that now either, I know there is now a new save feature but it's still the same thing unfortunately but all in all it looks great.
Hearing emulation sounds good to me. Hopefully it's to do with Activision's older catalogue but it will be for something else primarily first and foremost.
They need to remove a few layers of the always online and needing WiFi to set it up. A good few of my mates won't get one for that reason but saying that I wasn't smart enough to know about it when the Xbox one came out, I didn't have WiFi and it was my first worst experience ever getting a new console and I have had the biggest distaste for the Xbox brand ever since especially when the service/servers go down 😂
Wow GTA V at the top spot, it seems there is a lot of nagging kids still that ask their not well informed grandparents or cool uncles to buy them it 😂.
I've seen more marketing garbage updates for cloud streaming like the Amazon fire stick and the official Xbox website being cloud compatible then the console itself.
They really really want this to be the standard in the future.
At this point I would happily have gold back at a fair price just to play online with the lads because I don't want to be carry on paying for that one game I purchased out right like call of duty for example.
If I'm staying subscribed to lets say game pass ultimate monthly for twelve months straight in GBP, whilst playing & buying Call of Duty only, it would cost people just short of £250 or more in whatever currency for that one year.
So no thanks I'll stick to steam & avoid the rinsing via online embedded pay subscriptions because at that the end of the day life is life, business is business and they win at the end of the day either way no matter the option someone may choose.
They have fully updated the Xbox website to be cloud gaming compatible as well and now this. They really want this to be the standard in the future but I think people won't accept it for what it is.
@Eejay It's like developers are sat with a gun to their heads as they work, knowing that unless they produce the "most successful game ever", it's all over for them.
Because a shareholder is sat in their sun lounger with a cigar, a blue movie looking star and a super car parked outside looking at their Investments.
No, I already have the white 500gb series S model with retail emulation that needs to be offline forever but I am after a second hand black series S though so I don't get confused and connect the white one to the internet randomly but it's not only for that but for a couple of games with the lads on the new upcoming Call of Duty game or GTA 6 because cheaters, hackers, griefers on PC an all that.
B....If they announced Doritos Crash Course 3 I would give it an A, and this is a little outlandish but if they announced the speculative upcoming handheld I would have given it an A+.
With a new Lord of the Rings movie coming out that is apparently gollum focused it may have done well if it was developed for longer and released around the time the movie comes out in a couple of years but I suppose once the money jar is about to run out that lost money needs to be recouped eventually before it's too late.
@DoomGuy_117 Same, for me personally the zombies mode hasn't being that good since black ops 3, it was a solid game, I feel like that product was developed with zombies mostly in mind but I'm hoping this new one maybe similar.
@Kevw2006 Yup, it would be great and a dumb idea buying it now though 😅, you can never win these days against these companies, they have always got a trick up their sleeves.
