Re: Xbox Game Pass Changes Partly Because Microsoft 'Isn't Seeing Strong Growth', Claims Analyst

EdgarTheBug

At this point I would happily have gold back at a fair price just to play online with the lads because I don't want to be carry on paying for that one game I purchased out right like call of duty for example.

If I'm staying subscribed to lets say game pass ultimate monthly for twelve months straight in GBP, whilst playing & buying Call of Duty only, it would cost people just short of £250 or more in whatever currency for that one year.

So no thanks I'll stick to steam & avoid the rinsing via online embedded pay subscriptions because at that the end of the day life is life, business is business and they win at the end of the day either way no matter the option someone may choose.

Re: Talking Point: Are You Interested In Any Of The New Xbox Series X|S Models?

EdgarTheBug

No, I already have the white 500gb series S model with retail emulation that needs to be offline forever but I am after a second hand black series S though so I don't get confused and connect the white one to the internet randomly but it's not only for that but for a couple of games with the lads on the new upcoming Call of Duty game or GTA 6 because cheaters, hackers, griefers on PC an all that.

Re: Xbox Reportedly Considering Game Pass Price Hike To Accommodate Call Of Duty

EdgarTheBug

It will be great for them because if Call of Duty is the only game that people play after buying it and then subscribing just to play online for let's say two years straight they get more money and the player pays even more for it.

I've been telling a mate of mine recently about it, he thinks using gamepass ultimate is a great deal but he only plays battlefield 2042 through it. The game released in 2021 so in the long run, this year in November the amount of money wasted will be £468, he could of payed for it once and saved 400 in the span of three years.

Re: Xbox Insider Update Aims To 'Improve' Sale Searching On The Microsoft Store

EdgarTheBug

Even though they're popular, eliminating any sort of live service games to be viewable like Fortnite, Roblox, Warzone etc etc on the storefront is something that could possibly lure people in to buy or subscribe to new games, it could create new popular games & communities and make other developers/publishers especially indie developer's some money instead of the same companies raking it in due to their system that never ends leading people to not know anything better that has created the turmoil of today in the gaming industry.

Some may disagree but ever since those line of products came on to the market all those years ago the industry has kind of gone tits up.

Re: Xbox Is Shutting Four Studios, Including Arkane Austin And Tango Gameworks

EdgarTheBug

At this point with all the layoffs I like to assume the reason why they are all doing this is because GTA 6 is coming out soon, not many people are going to play anyone's game but GTA so I respect them cutting costs for a little while especially at the moment because most people just play constant rewarding predatory never ending addicting garbage like Call of Duty, Fortnite, Minecraft, Roblox, FIFA and nothing else.

Re: Xbox Confirms Exactly How The 360 Store Closure Will Affect Players This July

EdgarTheBug

I assume one day it will not be possible to download anything that isn't playable on the current generation of consoles so to me getting a rgh modded 360 console whilst currently having a series s offline with retail emulation is a great idea for the future, all that would be needed is a PS5 and a up to date PC then people would be set on all fronts, old and new.

Re: Xbox Teases Call Of Duty 'Direct' To Follow 2024 Summer Showcase

EdgarTheBug

Id really love it to be a zombies standalone game due to the dogs/wolves in the picture that are similar to those in the map mobb of the dead but I don't think it will ever happen because the round based mode doesn't really create the best player retention especially for players not being in and out of the menus for micro-transactions because people do a Easter egg or a high round attempt and then rage quit or just quit afterwards but a man can dream I suppose.

Re: Talking Point: Do You Prefer Shorter Or Longer Games In General?

EdgarTheBug

Well going by the picture that is used (Elden Ring) that cost 60 beans back in the day it was a good bargain for the length, It took me 300+ hours to complete and for me it was really enjoyable but if I bought my first game after buying a brand new console and that game was Hellblade 2, in a smart budgeting money aspect after buying the console but not knowing the length of the game I would be kinda disappointed because not long after completing it another 60/70 beans would be spent and maybe Elden Ring should have been purchased instead but I suppose gamepass kinda mitigates all of that but plenty of people still like to buy their games so it is what it is so on that note I voted 31+ hours and that seems a little too much on the short side
