B....If they announced Doritos Crash Course 3 I would give it an A, and this is a little outlandish but if they announced the speculative upcoming handheld I would have given it an A+.
With a new Lord of the Rings movie coming out that is apparently gollum focused it may have done well if it was developed for longer and released around the time the movie comes out in a couple of years but I suppose once the money jar is about to run out that lost money needs to be recouped eventually before it's too late.
@DoomGuy_117 Same, for me personally the zombies mode hasn't being that good since black ops 3, it was a solid game, I feel like that product was developed with zombies mostly in mind but I'm hoping this new one maybe similar.
@Kevw2006 Yup, it would be great and a dumb idea buying it now though 😅, you can never win these days against these companies, they have always got a trick up their sleeves.
It will be great for them because if Call of Duty is the only game that people play after buying it and then subscribing just to play online for let's say two years straight they get more money and the player pays even more for it.
I've been telling a mate of mine recently about it, he thinks using gamepass ultimate is a great deal but he only plays battlefield 2042 through it. The game released in 2021 so in the long run, this year in November the amount of money wasted will be £468, he could of payed for it once and saved 400 in the span of three years.
Even though they're popular, eliminating any sort of live service games to be viewable like Fortnite, Roblox, Warzone etc etc on the storefront is something that could possibly lure people in to buy or subscribe to new games, it could create new popular games & communities and make other developers/publishers especially indie developer's some money instead of the same companies raking it in due to their system that never ends leading people to not know anything better that has created the turmoil of today in the gaming industry.
Some may disagree but ever since those line of products came on to the market all those years ago the industry has kind of gone tits up.
At this point with all the layoffs I like to assume the reason why they are all doing this is because GTA 6 is coming out soon, not many people are going to play anyone's game but GTA so I respect them cutting costs for a little while especially at the moment because most people just play constant rewarding predatory never ending addicting garbage like Call of Duty, Fortnite, Minecraft, Roblox, FIFA and nothing else.
I assume one day it will not be possible to download anything that isn't playable on the current generation of consoles so to me getting a rgh modded 360 console whilst currently having a series s offline with retail emulation is a great idea for the future, all that would be needed is a PS5 and a up to date PC then people would be set on all fronts, old and new.
Id really love it to be a zombies standalone game due to the dogs/wolves in the picture that are similar to those in the map mobb of the dead but I don't think it will ever happen because the round based mode doesn't really create the best player retention especially for players not being in and out of the menus for micro-transactions because people do a Easter egg or a high round attempt and then rage quit or just quit afterwards but a man can dream I suppose.
This reminds me of the zombies iteration in the Call of Duty WWII game along with one of the dlc maps from Black Ops 4 called Dead of The Night, I'll give this a try when possible.
A promotional service piece of software with plenty of bloat is what it is.
As a physical customer, I couldn't care less, let me put the disc in and instantly start playing it without the always online updates, stores, subscriptions and everything else, it now feels like a media box not a dedicated gaming console and that goes for all the others.
@Tasuki With them closing the Xbox 360 online functionalities soon maybe that will solve the problem so people cannot access the servers with their modified 360 consoles or whatever but something did happen last year with the servers, it did solve some of it but I don't know if it lasted.
Well going by the picture that is used (Elden Ring) that cost 60 beans back in the day it was a good bargain for the length, It took me 300+ hours to complete and for me it was really enjoyable but if I bought my first game after buying a brand new console and that game was Hellblade 2, in a smart budgeting money aspect after buying the console but not knowing the length of the game I would be kinda disappointed because not long after completing it another 60/70 beans would be spent and maybe Elden Ring should have been purchased instead but I suppose gamepass kinda mitigates all of that but plenty of people still like to buy their games so it is what it is so on that note I voted 31+ hours and that seems a little too much on the short side
@MrMagic Yup, it's all for the cloud and a digital only future, they do small implementations/phases every other year since the first Xbox came out, that is what they want to achieve just like sitting on you're ass doing nothing whilst everyone else keeps the system going and the money flowing in, just like windows because if no one created software/programmes for windows or gave feedback for bugs it would have being dead in the ground years ago.
They just don't get it with these high end blockbuster games, most would happily buy a game a bit like Elden Ring in scope (for example) that doesn't have fancy super realistic graphics and cinematic cut scenes but a game that is reasonably lengthy and has good gameplay for the price of today's current games.
In the end photo realistic looking games won't appreciate over time compared to games like Pacman & Tetris because people have enough crap out in the real world never mind in a simulated sandbox.
@Beetlebum91 I've still got a series S offline with all the retail emulators, I'm glad I snagged one for cheap before they started to ban them, it will be offline forever.
@Weapon_Wheel I can't remember the last time I seen an advertisement for the consoles maybe before and just after the release and that's about it but I do get bombarded with tiktok & temu adverts all the time on places like YouTube.
I would love it to be a dedicated handheld device but i can imagine they will go the cloud subscription route which will show me that they want that fully integrated across the board in the future leading me and others to not invest into their eco-system/API.
I wish I never wasted the points I have had over the years on sweepstakes, I think I might of accumulated just over half a million.
I once had a crap phone and no PC/laptop years ago so the web browser on the Xbox one was great at the time, it was the best thing I had and it was a really good way to stack them up but here we are today.
I play it on gamepass but its getting dull, If some perks/abilities or whatever gets added to this game it would be excellent because it gets boring fast grinding it out for gold and what not to get cosmetics for either the character or ship that gets barely looked at through a session, leveling up the emissaries are great though but its linked to same thing in a fashion.
@__jamiie Yup and if you loose access to WiFi that's it, no more gaming but in their eyes you don't realistically own it so it's expected why they wanna push it and have it that way only so on that note no thank you, I'll stick with retro/emulation gaming for the rest of my life.
My favourite mug for cups of tea crazy enough is a dragon ball one that was gifted to me, the mug glows and it makes the character Goku turn into the kaioken power up when hot water gets added to it, I'll be raising it later when I get home after work.
Thank you Akira Toriyama for the memories when I was a kid, RIP.
No but I may try it out when the game might be at season ten in a few years time with an offline mode, land combat etc etc but for now I'm not getting lured in with their marketing advertisements for every quarterly seasonal update so they can keep me engaged to possibly get more money out of me.
With the way battlefield is designed in general a battle royale seem suitable for this game but I cannot believe this fad hasn't stopped yet, I suppose it's all about the money and player retention at the end of the day.
If they don't have an offline mode for their products especially after their recent one (I never bought it) I won't be giving them my hard earned money till the day they make a one and done game again that might be worth the money, their loss and more fool them.
