At the time I thought it was ugly. Who knew I'd be a happy owner a year later...

That is one ugly controller.

I love my series s. No regrets at all.

I'll definitely be picking this up. The rest of this year is loaded with releases I want, so it may have to wait a while.

I'm looking forward to checking this out. It's tentatively on my list of winter games so a demo is welcome.

Halo 5 has a 97 gb install size on my xbox.
Honestly I don't care what size it is. I'm installing as soon as it's available.

I don't care if they make me vulnerable, I love assassinations. Especially when they're followed by 'retribution '.
I just hope they're like halo 4, where the type you got was based on your attacking position and not those stupid cards in halo 5.

This could be good for practicing with specific weapons.
I thought they were going to include a noob matchmaking option. I would be there day one for laughs before going to normal matchmaking.

I'll be buying a series x without game pass later in the year. I had it for 8 of the last 12 months, but it wasn't worth it for me. I'm better off going with gold for multiplayer and buying the games I want.

I play mp with Exuberant Witness on halo 5. It's nice to know someone is eager to see how well I perform.

No new Xbox for me this year. My plan now is to pick up a series X next Christmas.
I did buy a PS4 this summer but I returned it two days later, so not counting that.
I also took my og xb1 apart, cleaned it out and put in an ssd this year, replaced the fan in the power brick too, so I don't mind waiting another year.

Agreed. This game could be funny if they were actually grown women and not sexualized children.

This is too bad. Xbox needs more Japanese games and unfortunately, I think games like this are part of the deal.
This may end up being a cautionary tale for other developers. They had the game developed and ran into problems with Microsoft during the final ROM review.
I wouldn't blame other developers if they continue to avoid Xbox.

Update: I just watched trailers for these games on steam and I feel dirty.....
I had watched one for switch about a year ago so it wasn't fresh in my mind.
I want to see more JRPGs and creative / unique games from Japan on Xbox, but they can keep this crap.

Props to Microsoft for maintaining them this long. The last time I tried joining a halo 4 game was about two years ago and it took a LONG time to find a match.

I just ordered the shock blue controller from Amazon for $44.99 in the US.
I couldn't resist.

He's got a point that series S won't age well, but you'll probably get a solid 3-4 years out of it before needing to consider an alternative.
That being said, I'm still using my OG Xbox one, so unless people's tv's die they may happily use them for the whole generation.

Giant, two toned with fins... And I thought the PS3 was a hideous bloated monster when it came out.
I'll wait for the mid gen revisions for both and see which one I like better.

I love that they're doing this. They've had games across console generations, but smart delivery is a game changer. Plus being able to enjoy launch titles on my OG Xbox One will be nice.
That being said, I've lost interest in Halo and have moved towards JRPGs. And even though there are a good number on Xbox, the Atlus games can all be found on Playstation. I may end up going w/ Sony this gen. Of course I'd rather just have more Atlus games come to Switch...

My game pass subscription expires in two days, so I'll be playing halo 5 and Nier: Automata.

That's true. It didn't occur to me that they would still produce them after the series x launches.

Might as well wait for the series x. But honestly, I wouldn't get one of those for a year or two unless mine dies.

This makes sense considering Microsoft's development model lately.
I hated the Xbox one UI up until the most recent update.
Now it's actually pleasant to use. It would be a shame to scrap it right when it got good.

Halo 5 and Bloodstained on Xbox. I really wanted to get Bloodstained on switch but it looks so much better on Xbox.
Cat Quest 2 and River City Girls on switch.
Tokyo Mirage Sessions on Wii U.

The more JRPGs on Xbox the better.

I almost bought a ps4 for the JRPGs this winter, but the controller was so uncomfortable I decided not to.
This controller looks like it will be more comfortable, but it's ugly.
It doesn't bode well for the look of the console.

I'll bet there was a lot of virtual high fiving going on around the Xbox team that day!

The look of it is definitely growing on me.

This makes me happy. I can swap out rechargeable batteries in about 20 seconds I the middle of a round with maybe one death. Built in battery packs don't last. Although I've never gotten more than a year of regular use from an Xbox controller anyway...
