Update: (Mon 30th Mar, 2020 17:40 BST): The Xbox Game Pass date for NeiR: Automata has been officially announced! It's coming to the service on Thursday, April 2nd.

Original Story: (Sun 29th Mar, 2020 13:00 BST): It's been ten years since the release of the original NIER for Xbox 360, and to celebrate, Square Enix has announced it's developing a seemingly remastered (but Square Enix doesn't want to refer to it that way) version of the game for Xbox One, PS4 and PC. But this one is based on the PS3 version of NieR Replicant - the Japanese version of the game - which is slightly different to the version we saw on Xbox 360, and features a different main character.

NieR Replicant ver.1.22474487139..., as the remaster is now officially known, has yet to receive a release date, but will feature re-recorded voice acting and music, a new character and possibly even a new ending (according to our friends over at Push Square).

There's also good news for NieR: Automata fans today as it was announced the 2017 Xbox One game is coming to Xbox Game Pass in the very near future. We've heard a few rumoured dates so far including April 2nd and April 3rd, so we'll update this post as soon as get official confirmation.
