It's hard to believe we're only about a month away until Tales of Arise finally graces our Xbox consoles, but here we are! If the wait is starting to get a bit too much, then relax, as a free demo is on the way on August 18 for Xbox One, Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S.
Details on the contents of the demo are pretty much non-existent, but judging by a bunch of previews that have dropped today, it seems we'll be getting a look at the game's opening chapter.
As mentioned, multiple outlets have shared their thoughts on Tales of Arise's initial hours today, and the reaction has been extremely positive. Gfinity, for example, has said the game is looking "to be a welcoming, hearty meal that fans will be eager to sink their teeth into the moment it arrives at their door".
GameSpot also went hands-on with the game and said it seems to be "the biggest step forward in the Tales series so far". It looks as though the demo is going to give us a great indication of what to expect when the game launches next month, and we can't wait to check it out.
Will you be trying out the Tales of Arise demo? Drop us a comment and let us know.

Can't F'ing wait!!! The Tales series is in my top 3 of all time!
I've never played any tales game. Should I bother jumping into this one? Should I start elsewhere?
@PhhhCough
Vesperia is in Gamepass now but not a good example. Story seems to be OK but the game is old.
@Kohaku @PhhhCough Versperia is a top shelf stone cold classic, and generally considered the high point of the series. It's old, but not as old as FFVII which everyone raves endlessly about. Obviously it's a Bamco series so your tolerance for Anime will vary.
Already pre-ordered. Not a Tales fan (except for that brilliant Tales of Phantasia) but this one looks epic.
Aye. Another game that forsook what the series was and removing all gameplay ever associated with the Tales series. Hard pass for me.
Tales went to hell after Graces tbh with Vesperia being the last great one.
I was disappointed with Berseria after it didn't quite turn out to be the generational leap they were hyping it up to be, but hopefully Arise is going to actually be that shot in the arm the series needs.
I'm looking forward to checking this out. It's tentatively on my list of winter games so a demo is welcome.
