Halo Infinite Is Getting An Academy Mode With Bots For Newcomers

With Halo Infinite coming later this year, and many new players joining the Xbox family, 343 Industries understands many will be new to the series. Don't worry, you won't be thrown into the deep end, as they're working hard to ensure their new Academy mode will ease players into the thick of it.

It acts as a hub for players to practice before diving into matchmaking, or for newcomers to learn the ropes. You can practice with weapons, learn more about the Halo series, and even set up bot matches to test your skill. The bot mode looks to be the biggest inclusion, featuring a wide range of customisation options. You can adjust their difficulty, the weapons used, how many their will be, and various other aspects.

According to multiplayer academy designer Sara Stern, it'll be a "series of experiences", such as a tutorial to learn the basics for the first time and engage in weapon drills. It was also mentioned that newcomers will get to "learn what the universe is about", including the characters within it. Players will come to grips with "the vocabulary" fans have grown accustomed to over the years, so it won't be long before you learn your Arbiter from your Cortana.

This is a great little inclusion not only for newcomers, but returning players too. It can be a place to let off steam, mess around with the weapons, or even practice against some bots. We're getting pretty hyped for Halo Infinite over here at Pure Xbox - roll on its release later this year.
