Seriously though, the first Hellblade was more of a puzzle game with some combat in it. The regular enemies got boring real quick (seemed like they have made good adjustments to combat this time around), however, in the original the bossfights was really well done. What really elevates this game from others in the audio design and the story with an awesome Senua as the centerpiece of it all. Even though I've only played Hellblade ones, it is one of those games I keep bringing up and think about after all these years.
I see a lot of doubt in the first person view but honestly, nobody does first person better than Machine Games so I'm confident it will turn out great.
Though I'm not interested in every game shown I had to put an A on this presentation. The format is great and all the games looks incredible. I'll be buying Hellblade 2, The Great Circle and Awoved for sure. Awesome showcase.
I have decided to abandon some games because they feel like a chore playing. I'll just look at it as losses.
I have also decided to have a maximum of three games to play at a time that I must finish before I buy a new one.
I'm also going to buy less games and wait for sales, simply because I bought a lot of games full price and some of them I didn't get to start before they went on sale (looking at you Alan Wake 2).
So yeah, that's it.
It's -30c where I live so I'll be gaming a lot this weekend.
PS5: Alan Wake 2
Switch OLED: Zelda TotK
Series X: Baldur's Gate 3
Recently finished:
1. Super Mario Wonder
Such a fantastic and fun game. Played it coop with the missus. Had a great time. Many of the levels had a "wow" factor I found entertaining.
2. Cyberpunk Phantom Liberty
Unlocked all the endings and I must say, what a great game and DLC it is. Played Cyberpunk at release and hated it (even though I reached one ending) but now, the 2.0 version is another game completely and the DLC adds so much too it. I highly recommend this game even though it is a bit depressing.
I'm surprised Ghostwire Tokyo didnt go higher. That game was a lot of fun once I got the hang of it. I really liked Starfield so I'm glad it got number one by such a huge margin.
For someone who knows nothing about Halo lore and might not care if the show stick to it or not. Is the show any good? Story, script, acting, music, etc?
This year on my Xbox I bought Phantom Liberty, Tony Hawk 1-2, Witcher 3, Baldurs Gate 3, Diablo IV and Starfield Constellation Edition (only physical purchase this year).
I'm going hard on the gaming front this weekend and I love it. PS5: Alan Wake 2 and GoWR Valhalla Series X: Baldur's Gate 3 Switch Oled: TotK and Metroid Dread
I have 3 games in my backlog I'm trying to wrap up.
Xbox: Shadow of Tomb Raider
Switch: Metroid Dread and TotK
PS5: Nothing
Might pick up something new next week if they run any Game Awards sales.
For Xbox: updates, new trailers and or release dates on Hellblade 2, Fable, BG3, Avowed, Everwild, Contraband, GoW6 or Stalker 2. For everything else: Death Stranding 2, Stellar Blade, Aftermath, Dragons Dogma 2, Crimson Desert and something new from Nintendo. If I get new info on 2-3 of these games I'm happy.
I bought one when they were new and its kind of cool to have but it is a bit noisy. So I wouldnt recommend having it next to your setup or in the living room.
That "eat" function is essential. Glad it came around.
Now please make it so you can skip the temple puzzles and don't have to run through 10ng+ to max them. There are enough planets to just scatter 260 temples around the universe after reaching Unity once.
Of course Xbox will "be there". At the least to show some ads for GPU and the consoles. My guess is some new announcements for GPU, maybe even some shadow drops. I'm hoping for new ads for upcoming games and maybe one or two new announcements.

Re: Hellblade 2 Is Officially Coming To Xbox Series X|S In May 2024
@FatalBubbles Sounds good to me. There's enough 100+ hours games out there with more dropping this year.
Re: Hellblade 2 Is Officially Coming To Xbox Series X|S In May 2024
@TheSimulator That would be Death Stranding.

@BrilliantBill That was mad funny.

Re: Hellblade 2 Will Be A Digital-Only, Cheaper Release On Xbox And PC
I have no problem with Hellblade 2 being digital only, priced low and is a short game. May cant come soon enough!
Re: Phil Spencer Thanks Xbox Developer Direct Teams, Praises Show Format
I agree with Phil. The format is excellent.
Re: 'Indiana Jones And The Great Circle' Gameplay Has Landed, And It Looks Awesome

Re: Talking Point: Do You Like The 'Modern' Assassin's Creed Games?
I platted Origins but got burned out doing it. Haven't returned to an AC game since. I might try Hexe whenever that drops though.
Re: Feature: 40+ Xbox Series X|S Games To Look Forward To In 2024
Definetly a lot of games I'm interested in coming this year. Might personally be a better year for me than 2023. And that's crazy.
Re: Rumour: Xbox Releasing Acclaimed First-Party Title On 'Competitor System' In 2024
When HiFi Rush dropped my first thought was it would be a perfect fit for the Switch.

I'm wondering now if this problem is the same as I encountered while playing NieR Replicant.
Re: Pure Xbox's Game Of The Year 2023: The Results You Didn't See

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (December 23-24)
I'm having a GOTY kind of weekend.

Recently finished: GoWR Valhalla. That was fun! Awesome addition to the base game with a very good expanding on the lore.
Happy holidays!

@pip_muzz I see. Perhaps I should check out a couple episodes and see if it hooks me.

Why was Switch 2 an option? Lol. And you need to add a refusal to answer income.

Nice! Xbox didnt do this last year.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (December 9-10)
This is really ironic but I'm not playing anything this weekend.
With that said I plan to jump into both Alan Wake 2 and BG3 next week.

@jikflet Yup! I kept thinking this a lot while watching the show.
