Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (April 8-9)

DS version of Final Fantasy IV and Evil Dead The Game with some friends.

We're getting pumped for Evil Dead Rise in a few weeks.

I'm still playing midnight suns (15hs in) loving almost every minute if it, specially the combat.
Also im playing a little cute narrative game called little misfortune (worth checking it out)

I've finally completed Hogwarts Legacy and it's definitely up there as one of my favourite games and my GOTY so far. So on PS5 i will now concentrate on Fairy Fencer F and the Ghost of Tsushima DLC

On switch I've started Zelda Skyward Sword HD to give me my Zelda fix until the 12th may. I will also be playing some Metroid Prime Remastered, just completed the phazon mines and it's been great so far, hopefully 2 and 3 gets the same treatment.

I'm still waiting for my Backbone one to be delivered, if it comes today I will be playing Atomic Heart and Re-Core on gamepass.

Been mildly obsessed with Loop Hero over the past few days. A game that looks very simplistic & boring on the face of it but has a lot of depth and strategy when you dig in.

I have managed to beat the 4 acts and had fun figuring out how to do that. (Hint: Build a library and use the resource that provides to figure out stuff and plan your progress or watch youtube I guess if you can't be bothered.)

Also having fun with Forza Horizon 4. I do think 4 is better than FH5, which I still think is just a copy paste with added sand & sun.

I did a bit of multiplayer racing and that made me really hope Forza Motorsport has a robust penalty system. More wreckfest than racing so I expect I will be back to solo over the weekend clearing unfinished stuff.

Might do a bit of multiplayer in Gran Turismo 7. The racing standards are not any better but at least the penalty system occasionally punishes punt to pass racers.

Ive tried the trial of ea pga tour as well as pga 2k23 and got to say prefer the latter. Also having some time on coffee talk which is a nice chilled game. Im neing asked to play fortnite constantly but refuse to do it

This week(end) I finished my first playthrough of the Resident Evil 4 Remake (Xbox Series X). I may start a NG+ and unlock a few more achievements, but I doubt I’ll go for the 100% completion. That said, this will easily go down as one of my all time favorite games.

I have also started Signalis (Xbox Series X). What a gem of a game. I didn’t know if it would hold my attention considering I just beat an all time classic - but this game is punching way above its weight. I’m looking forward to diving deeper into the game.

Other than that, I might take a break from gaming this weekend and do some reading. I’ve been getting into graphic novels as of late - even if my wife thinks I’m a kid, she still supports my interests - and started with Batman Year One. So far, it’s outstanding.

I’m going to read TMNT: The Last Ronin next. I’ve heard this is an incredible story, and with the announcement of a AAA game set in this particular universe, my interest is piqued.

If anyone has any other suggestions for graphic novels to read for beginners (I’m just now starting), feel free to message me. I have Daredevil: Born Again and Infinity Gauntlet on my list to read soon, but I’m welcome to all kinds even if it isn’t superhero related.

Switch - Gonna try more No Man's Sky and Persona 5 Royal today! Heard great things about both of them.

3DS - Might start Pokemon HeartGold today! Most likely gonna pick Cyndaquil.

PS5 - GTA Online with friends later tonight, and might start Cyberpunk 2077.

PC - Not much on PC this week, though might continue High on Life that I started weeks ago lol.

Finished Hogwarts Legacy, just one more achievement I want then I’m done. Going to pick up cowabunga collection in the sale and maybe RE4, I’m holding off for redfall but I might break before the weekends out lol, it looks so good.

Hooked on two super sticky GP titles - MLB The Show and Loop Hero. Have Yakuza 6 simmering on the backburner.

On Series X I brought Sherlock Holmes Chapter One with all dlc in the sale. On steam Im playing Remnant From The Ashes

Watched the Mario movie yesterday and really enjoyed it 👍🏻

Yesterday morning I beat the Fire Emblem Engage Fell Xenologue. I played it on hard (FE is the only game I play on hard) and it was indeed much more difficult than the normal game since weapon and character options are extremely limited. I almost can't believe I beat the final boss as it was a grueling slog to say the least. The story was over the top stupid, but the maps were actually very good imo. Overall it was great and I was very happy to play through it.

Then I decided to give The Quarry a shot as I'm just not getting on with Atomic Heart. I only played a little bit after work last night but so far it's exactly what I was expecting - in a good way. Can't wait to see and vaguely choose what happens next!

FH5 back on 100% Achievements so I can get back to Life is Strange True Colors since it's leaving GP (April 15, 2023).
Trek to Yomi is another one ...

RE4 Remake on PS5 & MP Remastered on NS have to wait since I don't have the time for them.

Yakuza 4. I'm in Part 4 out of 5, so I'm close to the ending. It's really, really good, I had almost forgotten.

Playing some AC: Odyssey too. Loving the DLC.

A bit of Halo Infinite. I’m at lvl90 in the season 3 pass now. Also Vampire Survivors again. Had 3 runs go well in a row. Feeling untouchable!

I’ve also started Kingdom Rush: Frontiers on the Switch. Got Kingdom Rush: Origins queued up to but probably won’t start that until next week or so.

Think I'll be playing No Man's Sky as usual. Hello games have set a standard in how devs should look after their games. The latest update is yet again, making the game even more playable.
Might finally cave in and by cyberpunk as its on sale, and see if they really have fixed it.
Other than that, Transport Fever 2, Anno 1800 were recent purchases, but are so addictable.... Then civ 6 too. Too much for one weekend but the series X will get plenty attention 😁

I beat Titanfall 2 on Steam Deck and hopped (stupid pun) into, Elemental Masters, Days Gone, and The Dishwasher: Vampire Smile.

Completed all achievements on Wo Long last weekend and felt a bit lost not playing that, so I bought Sekiro to get my fix 😅.

Also playing Vampire Survivors. Held off playing it until now, and I'm hooked! Didn't think the game could be so fun.

It’s been a busy couple of weeks, but on the little time I have available I been trying to play Ghost of Tsushima: Directors Cut on the PS5 and letting the Xbox hace a rest for once.

Played the EA golf game. It's stick flick only which is disappointing. I'm no good at it. Really miss golf games having that three button press.

Currently playing Elden ring and horizon forbidden west.

Started playing Septerras Core on pc. I moved over to Blue Dragon on Xbox. I am greatly enjoying it.

Since theres F all releasing on Xbox it would be nice if theres review of EA sports PGA Tour. Maybe you're busy reviewing all the other games....

I'm currently playing through Assassin's Creed Odyssey and I'm about half way, it's such a huge game haha!

"Hi-Fi Rush" and "Atomic Heart"

This weekend has been all the Forza Horizon expansion. So far I’m having way more fun with this expansion than i did with that boring Hot Wheels expansion. Have a great weekend!

Can't stop playing Loop Hero, it's pretty addictive. Also tried the trial and free play of EA PGA and PGA 2K... ended up buying PGA 2K as it was on a 50% sale also preferred it over the EA version.
