If somehow I can play 360 modern warfare games 4 player split screen in 4k 60fps I will throw my money at them.

I would like to point out as a Nintendo fan I will be so upset if this turns out true but my switch games are not backward compatible with switch 2. In fact I'll likely not buy another system which isn't as user friendly.

@PretendWorking nothing wrong with begging. Switch voice chat might suck but I have four switches to lan party perfect game with.

For the love of God please please port sea of thieves to Nintendo Switch.

@BlueOcean I absolutely loath the Nintendo defense force. I have given Nintendo at minimum 10k in my life. You should be allowed to be critical when spending your hard earned money. People watch bad movies all the time and critique it after complaining about wasting $10! But somehow you have to just be happy with anything Nintendo give you at the $60 range.

I'm a fan but I wish there really was a Nintendo seal of quality.

Personally I think such a push would end their videogame business. For those who already have gamepass there wouldn't be an issue but there's tons of people who don't have gamepass and would just go buy a ps5

Xbox isn't in any position to do anything that jeopardizes their business. Playstation might have the good will to get by with such practices. Xbox not so much.

I hope online is free. I don't need game pass. I just buy f1 each year and one Ea sports game. Free sea of thieves would be awesome

Take away the games with Gold and just make online free. The only thing you need to pay for is gamepass.

@Z3u5000 I expect series s to play next gen games at 1080p but current gen 4k xbox one x games will be scaled down to 1440p?

@Ryall it will be disappointing if the Lockhart runs xbox one games worse then the Xbox one x. In fact it might make me pause and just buy nothing. All I want is to be able to play F1 2020 4k 60fps. Also some original Red Dead with HDR in 4k

@SuperNintendoMii I'm sorry, I thought I noticed on several different threads that you believed the lower powered spec Lockhart would hold the series x back. As a result I summarized your thoughts on Lockhart as weak. Sorry if I mistook you for someone else.

@IronMan30 as a Nintendo fan this system suits me well especially if all the Xbox one games play at their current resolutions available on the Xbox one x.

@SuperNintendoMii well you are making your assumptions based on rumours about how weak it will be and how it will hold games back and I'm making assumptions based on other rumours about how competitive it will be and how cheap it will be. We're all making assumptions here.

@SuperNintendoMii spending twice as much isn't "a bit more." Especially if this is going to be my secondary console. I mainly game on Switch but will happily have this to play forza, NHL, FIFA, COD.

Don't under estimate how many people will be looking to get next gen at a budget come fall. Lay offs everywhere

@BlueOcean on NintendoLife people just say buy a Nintendo and a PC. You don't need an Xbox. However after looking up a series X comparable PC it would cost me at least $2000. That's a he'll of a lot of Microsoft word I must be using. Xbox has value just for selling you the product at a loss.

Had three RROD. However Microsoft just kept sending me new consoles for free. Meanwhile Nintendo, who I grew up with Mario bed sheets and wallpaper, refused to acknowledge my drifting joy cons until the lawyers came out.

@GamingFan4Lyf my ***** son broke my brand new Samsung 4k tv with the slightest of taps of his hot wheels car. I cried as I had to bring up my 1080p tv from the basement to replace it.

Nintendo has done some horrible marketing in the past. Besides the pricing the marketing was the biggest Wii u failure. Xbox biggest mistake was forcing people to buy Kinect. Nintendo did the same thing forcing the gamepad on Wii u buyers. Anyways xbox has shown to learn from their mistakes and even when they name their system xbox one they manage to market it well. No confusion. I love Nintendo but they make some mistakes that I'm confident xbox isn't or won't.

@SuperNintendoMii they don't need to announce they're clearing them out. In a few months you won't be able to find any in the store. Where as you could buy a Wii years after the Wii u was on shelves.
