I approach game art books with trepidation; the thought of spoiling story elements before actually playing the game put me off... however... nothing stopping me shelving this until after playing Infinite ^_^
And they say that video games don't cause violence. This guy hadn't even broken the security seal on the game and he felt compelled to kick a policman in the privates. Imagine had he played it! He could have blown someone up with a tank or used a drone to take out a dolphin. Digusting behaviour.
@Richnj @G8crasha I think I'm the opposite now; from years of KB&M use on PC, I've adapted to a controller fro the likes of Halo as I do a lot of stuff from the comfort of my couch now. It will vary from player to player.
Hopefully by Summer they might do a Beta roll out of a couple of Multiplayer levels; some fan feedback should be taken on board, especially when you consider the awesome community Forge maps / modes over the years.
Is no one else just a little worried about the fact we could be only 2 months away from release and we've still not got a gameplay video or even some screenshots? This could be Kingdoms of Amalur Re-Reckoning all over again with only a cheap upscale job. Returning to the ME games again shows the combat is extremely clunky by modern day standards. I hope they've polished many of the fundamentals to make this worth a purchase.
The same thing I do every year... try to take over the world! No NYRs per se, but I do have a goal of reaching Level 152 in Halo 5 before Halo Infinite comes out. Might not be feasible, unless I put some serious hours of grind in. Currently over half way through Level 147 & I'm aware of the massive slog going from 151 to 152.
@LX_FENIX MMC's launch was awful - multiplayer was still unplayable a year after launch. After trying for hours and hours, I think I only managed to get in 4 or 5 games. Halo 5's multiplayer is still my personal favourite. Never bothered with the campaign.
Now it needs to work on the update bug that seems to have surfaced. Updates show under individual game management overviews, but then when you go to check updates they're not there until you restart the console. Similarly, I find I have to manually search for updates and add them to the queue, otherwise they just stack there, whilst others just automatically get picked up. I've got the setting checked and everything is correct, but I had issues on the Xbox One too. Anyone else having this issue?
Des anyone know if you can do this for the physical version? I don't want to have to wait to release day (or possibly later due to slow post) to have to install a massive update.
The only issues I'm bothered about are the fact that it takes a few seconds for the sound to kick back in after pausing a 4K disc during playback, plus I had audio synching issues on the One X. At first, I thought it maybe something to do with running it through the Yamaha AVR, but I get the same results running it through the TV too. Don't get that issue on anything else (PC/PS4 etc)
@NotoriousWhiz Rogue Agent? Yeh, it was OK. The campaign was a bit tedious in parts. I had fun in the multiplayer though! We are in dire need of a proper, modern Bond game though.
@Toxical maybe they've improved in their new range; obviously can't comment myself as I've not used one, but let's hope it continues to impress & provide the reliability for you and the many others.
@graysoncharles I understand that; I can't afford to buy another TV as I only upgraded a few years ago to a 4K 60hz Samsung. Nothing wrong with budgeting, it's just I don't think it's worth it when it comes to LG. Indeed! It will be nice when they have a bigger roster of supported games, although I honestly don't think it's worth upgrading just for those handful of games right now.
@graysoncharles cheapest isn't usually synonymous with the best. Personally, if you're bothered about refresh rates, there's not much point in investing in one for the handful of games that currently support it on console. Absolutely fine if you want that option on PC though.
@RustyBullet sorry to hear you've had problems bud. Obviously, not everyone's experience has been the same as mine, so you got to go with what works for you ^_^
I can't understand why people go for LG (Lackluster Gadgets). The reliability is awful, some of their models don't even pass EMC testing, the UI is so convulted, laggy & abysmal & they underperform compared to competitiors like Samsung. A lot of people swear by them and then end up having to replace with a new model a few years later due to one or more components failing with the ethernet port failing being a favourite. All of my Samsung panels have lasted 10+ years.
I think it maybe Microsoft's 'one sit down poo a day' policy may have finally broken her. Wishing the best of luck with here new job which will hopefully have more toilet perks.
So, they created UPS label this afternoon, but it wont officially ship till Monday, which means it will be Thursday before it actually gets to me at the earliest. UPS are awful. Wish they went with DHL instead as I always get that next working day.
I'm all for developers taking their time to avoid crunch, but for them to drop this a few days ahead of launch is a bit rubbish. I very nearly bought this alongside Yakuza Like a dragon.
@Rockboy247 aye good plan; that's my way of thinking! Getting mine delivered to work so I can take advantage of the superior download speed to setup as my home connection is rubbish.
@graysoncharles fair enough! Still, if it were coming out in the next few weeks, I think they would have mentioned it by now. Hoping they will do an official patch for PC too.
@Senua what makes you think it will be coming in a few weeks? I suspect the developers are super busy with Cyberpunk 2077, so I expect this to drop sometime next year.
I think it would make sense to have exclusivity to a degree, but there's no reason why they couldn't cherry pick a few ports over after a period of time to other consoles, like what they've done with the Switch. So, for example, a HD port of Fallout 3 / New Veags across the board, but maybe save the big titles for Xbox and PC. We will see!
It's decent enough, but I can't help feel like the Halo Universe and Microsoft Flight Simulator would have helped sweeten the deal, especially over those pending Winter months ahead. Nevertheless, it's a day one play for me (assuming it arrives on time) & I'm excited to get stuck into the wealth of games available under Game Pass.
Great game, but the remastered side of things looks mediocre. Hopefully it's actually better than those few seconds you get to see in this trailer, but to me it looks like they were trying to hide footage behind all the live action rubbish.
@Xiovanni I understand that, but the person was just asking a question. If you're paying for cheaper versions of software from different regions then expect to run into issues. I'd say that importing physical copies from other regiongs is fair game, but if you're cheating the system and getting out of paying your local tax / VAT, then you deserve to have your account suspended &/or having the license for that software revoked.
@Xiovanni Why would asking a valid question 'ruin it for the rest of us'? Are you assuming they are going to take advantage of multiple accounts in different regions &/or buy from other regions & risk greater awareness? You make it sound like you're part of an elite club and you're being snobby about new people joining. @Lionyone stop 'ruining' things =0p
@Richnj I really enjoy the abilites, especially those found in Halo 5. I'm sure there will still be classic MP without them though. Will be a bit silly if everyone is just shooting the grappling hook everywhere. I'm not sure why you wouldn't want Sprint enable in short bursts between level sections / objectives - I can understand if you want the slower paced, more methodical approach to gun fights, but you wont need to use sprint for that.
@Menchi My friends and I have obviously been terribly unlucky over the years =0( glad you've found them to be realiable though! I haven't had much luck with WD either.
I don't understand why the Developer is getting negative feedback; the average gamer will understand that it's the begining of a new generation and Devs will need to get their head around the hardware first before they can optimise. I guess some people will just see it as bias & they like to winge, especially if they favour one console over the other.
@Medic_Alert Aye, very unlucky! I've mostly stuck with Toshiba as they've been consistently good for me. They've all been mechanical drives with Seagate though, so I expect the SSD tech to be more robust.
Not a fan of Seagate - all of their interanl & external HDs I've had in the past died in very quick succession & well before their warranty expired. I'll be interested to see what other solutions come out during the launch period. I suspect I will only be getting a few games within the first year as the new Halo will keep me busy for some time.
The design of these new expansion slots takes me back to the days of the PS2 and Gamecube. Let's hope they'll do a VMU upgrade next =0p

Best not to get too excited in case it's Halo Pop crossover like they did with Gears. Would be nice to get a new strategy games though.
