Re: Retailers List Mass Effect Legendary Edition With March Release Date

sikthvash

Is no one else just a little worried about the fact we could be only 2 months away from release and we've still not got a gameplay video or even some screenshots? This could be Kingdoms of Amalur Re-Reckoning all over again with only a cheap upscale job. Returning to the ME games again shows the combat is extremely clunky by modern day standards. I hope they've polished many of the fundamentals to make this worth a purchase.

Re: Talking Point: What Are Your Gaming Resolutions For 2021?

sikthvash

The same thing I do every year... try to take over the world!
No NYRs per se, but I do have a goal of reaching Level 152 in Halo 5 before Halo Infinite comes out. Might not be feasible, unless I put some serious hours of grind in. Currently over half way through Level 147 & I'm aware of the massive slog going from 151 to 152.

Re: Looks Like Quick Resume Could Be Fixed Sooner Than Expected On Xbox Series X|S

sikthvash

Now it needs to work on the update bug that seems to have surfaced. Updates show under individual game management overviews, but then when you go to check updates they're not there until you restart the console. Similarly, I find I have to manually search for updates and add them to the queue, otherwise they just stack there, whilst others just automatically get picked up. I've got the setting checked and everything is correct, but I had issues on the Xbox One too. Anyone else having this issue?

Re: Xbox Series X 4K Blu-Ray Player Seemingly Cannot Output Black Colour Correctly

sikthvash

The only issues I'm bothered about are the fact that it takes a few seconds for the sound to kick back in after pausing a 4K disc during playback, plus I had audio synching issues on the One X. At first, I thought it maybe something to do with running it through the Yamaha AVR, but I get the same results running it through the TV too. Don't get that issue on anything else (PC/PS4 etc)

Re: LG OLED TV Becomes An Official TV Partner Of The Xbox Series X

sikthvash

@graysoncharles I understand that; I can't afford to buy another TV as I only upgraded a few years ago to a 4K 60hz Samsung. Nothing wrong with budgeting, it's just I don't think it's worth it when it comes to LG.
Indeed! It will be nice when they have a bigger roster of supported games, although I honestly don't think it's worth upgrading just for those handful of games right now.

Re: LG OLED TV Becomes The Official TV Partner Of The Xbox Series X

sikthvash

I can't understand why people go for LG (Lackluster Gadgets). The reliability is awful, some of their models don't even pass EMC testing, the UI is so convulted, laggy & abysmal & they underperform compared to competitiors like Samsung. A lot of people swear by them and then end up having to replace with a new model a few years later due to one or more components failing with the ethernet port failing being a favourite. All of my Samsung panels have lasted 10+ years.

Re: Poll: Has Your Xbox Series X|S Shipped Yet?

sikthvash

So, they created UPS label this afternoon, but it wont officially ship till Monday, which means it will be Thursday before it actually gets to me at the earliest. UPS are awful. Wish they went with DHL instead as I always get that next working day.

Re: Bethesda On Xbox Exclusivity: We'll Decide What Makes The Best Sense

sikthvash

I think it would make sense to have exclusivity to a degree, but there's no reason why they couldn't cherry pick a few ports over after a period of time to other consoles, like what they've done with the Switch. So, for example, a HD port of Fallout 3 / New Veags across the board, but maybe save the big titles for Xbox and PC. We will see!

Re: Here's The Full List Of Xbox Series X|S Launch Day Titles

sikthvash

It's decent enough, but I can't help feel like the Halo Universe and Microsoft Flight Simulator would have helped sweeten the deal, especially over those pending Winter months ahead. Nevertheless, it's a day one play for me (assuming it arrives on time) & I'm excited to get stuck into the wealth of games available under Game Pass.

Re: Good News, The Xbox Series X Will Reportedly Be Region Free

sikthvash

@Xiovanni I understand that, but the person was just asking a question.
If you're paying for cheaper versions of software from different regions then expect to run into issues. I'd say that importing physical copies from other regiongs is fair game, but if you're cheating the system and getting out of paying your local tax / VAT, then you deserve to have your account suspended &/or having the license for that software revoked.

Re: Good News, The Xbox Series X Will Reportedly Be Region Free

sikthvash

@Xiovanni Why would asking a valid question 'ruin it for the rest of us'? Are you assuming they are going to take advantage of multiple accounts in different regions &/or buy from other regions & risk greater awareness? You make it sound like you're part of an elite club and you're being snobby about new people joining.
@Lionyone stop 'ruining' things =0p

Re: Here It Is, The World Premiere Gameplay Of Halo Infinite

sikthvash

@Richnj I really enjoy the abilites, especially those found in Halo 5. I'm sure there will still be classic MP without them though. Will be a bit silly if everyone is just shooting the grappling hook everywhere. I'm not sure why you wouldn't want Sprint enable in short bursts between level sections / objectives - I can understand if you want the slower paced, more methodical approach to gun fights, but you wont need to use sprint for that.

Re: Dev Suggests Xbox 'Cares A Lot More About 120FPS Than Sony Does'

sikthvash

I don't understand why the Developer is getting negative feedback; the average gamer will understand that it's the begining of a new generation and Devs will need to get their head around the hardware first before they can optimise. I guess some people will just see it as bias & they like to winge, especially if they favour one console over the other.

Re: Seagate's Xbox Series X Storage Expansion Card Web Page Goes Live

sikthvash

Not a fan of Seagate - all of their interanl & external HDs I've had in the past died in very quick succession & well before their warranty expired. I'll be interested to see what other solutions come out during the launch period. I suspect I will only be getting a few games within the first year as the new Halo will keep me busy for some time.
The design of these new expansion slots takes me back to the days of the PS2 and Gamecube. Let's hope they'll do a VMU upgrade next =0p
