Re: Microsoft Flight Simulator Might Add Helicopters In The Future

@UltimateOtaku91 In Flight Sim? It says on the title itself, haha!

Joke aside, it’s the next instalment of the MSFS series, and probably one of the best. You can do whatever you wish. Fly, race, landing challenges, or just go exploring. It’s a bit like Euro Truck Simulator 2, just minus the jobs and trucks (obviously). It’s very relaxing to play, and landing the A32NX is probably one of the most satisfying things you can do.

@Marios-love-child I’m just messing with ya, mate. It would be a very cool idea, but I feel they wouldn’t really allow it. Game Pass already offers the best value in gaming at the moment, and seeing as Nintendo’s first party games are stupidly expensive for what they are, I feel it would draw their customer base over to Microsoft. They’d probably make a good bit from Switch sales, but nothing more apart from that really.

It is mad how much they charge though for their games, I nearly vomited when I saw Mario Kart 8 is nearly £60-70. I paid £42-49ish for BoTW, but couldn’t really get into it and it was such a large game. My missus had New Horizons, and she said it was fun for a few hours, but it gets repetitive very quickly.

@Mr-Fuggles777 I can already mentally hear the kids screaming down a microphone in my head. I don’t want to discriminate, but I sometimes wish games had separate multiplayers for kids and adults. I’ve been through quite a few games that eventually attracted a load of kids, which made them very unappealing to play. TF2 is a good example. I used to have many good nights playing it before it was F2P, but then it just got oversaturated with kids that think they can get rich quick making Let’s Play videos.

Re: Talking Point: Are Next-Gen Upgrades Worth Getting An Xbox Series X|S For?

I think to be honest, it's mostly the SSD, and Game Pass that does it for most people. Either way, I still wanted a Series X.

Fun little story, I actually had a pre-order with GameStop Ireland, and they never got it out to me for months. So I rang them and asked to cancel my order cos I had given up waiting. I eventually gave in and settled for a One X from my local CeX, but literally not even an hour later after I got home with it, my workmate rang me and told me Currys had loads in their store ready to be taken, first come first serve. Never in my life had a drove more quickly to a shop.

Re: Xbox Series Consoles Outsold PS5 Last Month In The UK, But Not Nintendo Switch

@themightyant See that’s the only real benefit of the Switch imo, being able to take it out. I’ve used mine on my breaks at work a few times, which was nice. Just the biggest thing for me that puts me off is the first party games are so expensive! That’s why I was saying I wish they had a system like Xbox Game Pass, because I can’t justify paying over £50 for Mario Kart just because it’s Mario. I’m not saying the games are bad, I’m sure they are fun games, just the price tags. £50-60 for Skyrim? No thanks.

@StonyKL I did enjoy BOTW, but I got it shortly before I went back to work, and I didn’t really have time to continue it cos it’s such a big game. I still get nightmares of roaming around in fields and suddenly the piano plays and you see the dreaded red dot, haha!

But yeah, I did like the Switch as a console, it’s cool. Just I couldn’t really find anything worth playing that wasn’t expensive. Mario Kart 8 was fun for a few minutes, but does get repetitive after a few races. If there’s one Mario game I’d love to play again, it’s Mario Party 4.

The Switch isn’t all that great to be honest. Me and my partner bought one for Animal Crossing NH, and Breath of The Wild. The console itself is not too bad, but I personally thought it wasn’t all that great as everyone makes them out to be. Games are horribly expensive, and most are just ports and copies you can get on other platforms (third party ones like Skyrim or Rocket League) for way cheaper. I think if Nintendo had a system like Game Pass I probably would of kept mine. But I’m not paying over £60 for the same Mario games that are just slightly different.

Re: Microsoft Flight Simulator's Xbox Series X Port Is 'Going Awesome'

@Senua It's not too bad on PC depending on what hardware you have. I run mine on an Ryzen 5 3600, 16GB of overclocked RAM, and a heavily overclocked GTX 1060, and the lowest I get it 25fps in dense airports like London Gatwick with custom scenery. When you're up in the air, its mostly fine then as scenery starts to unload, then I get upwards of 36fps.
