I don't know why they still hype this game up, it's not that great as people make it out to be. Sure the story is great, or so I'm told. But Jesus, this game is how old now? If they want to do something great, re-master Vice City or III.
@The_New_Butler There’s a free add on for PC that I’ve used before, but I can’t remember the name. Anyway, I know what you mean they are difficult to fly. It took me an hour to find out you have to flick the FADEC to even take off, and controlling it was difficult.
@UltimateOtaku91 In Flight Sim? It says on the title itself, haha!
Joke aside, it’s the next instalment of the MSFS series, and probably one of the best. You can do whatever you wish. Fly, race, landing challenges, or just go exploring. It’s a bit like Euro Truck Simulator 2, just minus the jobs and trucks (obviously). It’s very relaxing to play, and landing the A32NX is probably one of the most satisfying things you can do.
@Marios-love-child I’m just messing with ya, mate. It would be a very cool idea, but I feel they wouldn’t really allow it. Game Pass already offers the best value in gaming at the moment, and seeing as Nintendo’s first party games are stupidly expensive for what they are, I feel it would draw their customer base over to Microsoft. They’d probably make a good bit from Switch sales, but nothing more apart from that really.
It is mad how much they charge though for their games, I nearly vomited when I saw Mario Kart 8 is nearly £60-70. I paid £42-49ish for BoTW, but couldn’t really get into it and it was such a large game. My missus had New Horizons, and she said it was fun for a few hours, but it gets repetitive very quickly.
@Marios-love-child “Hi Mr Furukawa, can we have permission to plaster our brand all over your devices, and take away the majority of your customer base to play our first party games instead?”
@K1LLEGAL Of course the chavs aren’t hardcore gamers, they’re just more concerned about getting their crates of Stella and playing FIFA, while deciding the next sovereign ring they’ll buy from Argos.
I can agree with this. As much as I think VR is very cool, it is a bit of a gimmick. I paid full price for the PSVR which I used a small handful of times for maybe one or two games.
If I were to use VR for anything, it’d 100% be for MSFS.
@Mr-Fuggles777 I can already mentally hear the kids screaming down a microphone in my head. I don’t want to discriminate, but I sometimes wish games had separate multiplayers for kids and adults. I’ve been through quite a few games that eventually attracted a load of kids, which made them very unappealing to play. TF2 is a good example. I used to have many good nights playing it before it was F2P, but then it just got oversaturated with kids that think they can get rich quick making Let’s Play videos.
@ultraviolet Both are near enough the same, just Firefox are more heavily privacy focused. I only ask seeing as Edge is based off Chromium, so there’s no reason they couldn’t allow Mozilla to get their own browser on the Xbox store.
I think to be honest, it's mostly the SSD, and Game Pass that does it for most people. Either way, I still wanted a Series X.
Fun little story, I actually had a pre-order with GameStop Ireland, and they never got it out to me for months. So I rang them and asked to cancel my order cos I had given up waiting. I eventually gave in and settled for a One X from my local CeX, but literally not even an hour later after I got home with it, my workmate rang me and told me Currys had loads in their store ready to be taken, first come first serve. Never in my life had a drove more quickly to a shop.
@UltimateOtaku91 But it’s a Bethesda game, which means it’ll almost certainly have a thousands bugs and glitches that’ll never be fully patched, and the game will be abandoned. Skyrim being the most perfect example.
@blinx01 I think there was supposed to be a possibility of it being available on the Xbox One X, but to be honest I don't think it would happen. I use an M.2 NVME SSD on my PC, and it still takes a good while to load. I dread to know how long it'll be loading on a 5400RPM hard drive.
@themightyant See that’s the only real benefit of the Switch imo, being able to take it out. I’ve used mine on my breaks at work a few times, which was nice. Just the biggest thing for me that puts me off is the first party games are so expensive! That’s why I was saying I wish they had a system like Xbox Game Pass, because I can’t justify paying over £50 for Mario Kart just because it’s Mario. I’m not saying the games are bad, I’m sure they are fun games, just the price tags. £50-60 for Skyrim? No thanks.
@StonyKL I did enjoy BOTW, but I got it shortly before I went back to work, and I didn’t really have time to continue it cos it’s such a big game. I still get nightmares of roaming around in fields and suddenly the piano plays and you see the dreaded red dot, haha!
But yeah, I did like the Switch as a console, it’s cool. Just I couldn’t really find anything worth playing that wasn’t expensive. Mario Kart 8 was fun for a few minutes, but does get repetitive after a few races. If there’s one Mario game I’d love to play again, it’s Mario Party 4.
@Grumblevolcano That’s the only thing I miss about PlayStation, I absolutely was in love with the Spider-Man game. They poured their heart and soul into making that game.
The Switch isn’t all that great to be honest. Me and my partner bought one for Animal Crossing NH, and Breath of The Wild. The console itself is not too bad, but I personally thought it wasn’t all that great as everyone makes them out to be. Games are horribly expensive, and most are just ports and copies you can get on other platforms (third party ones like Skyrim or Rocket League) for way cheaper. I think if Nintendo had a system like Game Pass I probably would of kept mine. But I’m not paying over £60 for the same Mario games that are just slightly different.
@Senua It's not too bad on PC depending on what hardware you have. I run mine on an Ryzen 5 3600, 16GB of overclocked RAM, and a heavily overclocked GTX 1060, and the lowest I get it 25fps in dense airports like London Gatwick with custom scenery. When you're up in the air, its mostly fine then as scenery starts to unload, then I get upwards of 36fps.
@Murray I’m not sure, but I know the FlyByWire team have separated itself from the default A320 so they can have their own independent version in the in-game store for free. Hopefully other mod creators will tag along with that idea too so the Series X version isn’t left out.
When it comes out, I cannot recommend enough to everyone to get the FlyByWire A32NX mod. It's a heavily modified version of the Asobo A320neo, and they've poured their heart & soul into making it so much better than the default aircraft.
Will these invites be sent along with the release of iOS 14.5? Because as far as I'm aware, XB controllers don't currently work with iOS, and 14.5 is supposed to sort that out. Only DualShock 4 controllers work at the moment, which is kinda ironic.
@UltimateOtaku91 I felt the same, but mostly with the Rogue One VR mission for Star Wars Battlefront when you start flying around in the X-Wing.
I do think VR is very cool, I was excited when I got mine. However, I did find myself getting tired of it after a while, feeling it was more of a gimmick.

@MaccaMUFC I am indeed. My TV supports both 4K and HDR10, and it just looks the same. You really can't try to argue this to be honest.
