Zelda - echoes of wisdom - Its really a special feeling to play a new Zelda game 🙂 Been on a family vacation and the switch is just perfect to bring! I really enjoy the game, love the visuals and that its a top down view, brings me back to LttP 🙂 it is however, imho, a bit heavy on the echoes focus and it feels to gimmicky. Need a bridge or a tower to climb on, build it from gravity defying beds. Need to heal during a boss fight, make a bed and sleep in it between boss attacks... But its a minor complaint really! Now we're back home Im thinking about pausing it until next trip, we'll see.

Jusant - wanted a relaxing game on the ps5 in between other games and this is perfect for that!

Yeah. Love my series S but we all know its limitations, so I can understand they are having some trouble with the port. Shouldnt be impossible though.

On the Xbox I’ll be playing Avowed and Atomfall thanks to gamepass, hopefully both will be great!

Indy - finished it earlier in the week and loved it! It had a good story and fun gameplay (stealth being a bit of a weak point imo) and exploration and most importantly it felt like a great adventure! I can see myself double dip for this game and get it on the ps5 when on a sale 🙂

Behemoth PSVR2 - also finished, and platinumed, which meant playing it twice. Ive enjoyed the game a lot, I like the setting and the fighting and the boss fights are pretty cool. The game could use more polish though, some minor bugs squashed and improvement to controls would be welcome. My own review score? A weak 4 out of 5, but of you are unsure of you like this kind of game wait for a sale or a demo/trial 🙂

​Forspoken - Been giving it a couple of hours, but decided to drop it. Its not a bad game, but its not a good one either and I didnt feel like it was worth my time, at least not right now.

​Sonic frontiers - Didnt click for me, again not a bad game just not for me.

I got Dark Souls 3 on disc as my son wanted it for his birthday but other than that its mainly GPU games, and he plays some free to play games as well. Trying to keep our Xboxes and gamepass-machines only!

For games played on Xbox its a pretty easy win for Indy for me, amazing game Also enjoyed Hellblade 2. And nice to see some love for SW Outlaws 🙂

Hopefully they dont use the creation engine for the next Elder Scrolls, feels like they’ve reached their limit with that engine and I dont want it to look and play like if Starfield has a fantasy setting mod.

Bit of a boring update as Im still playing the same games as last weekend, however I did end up getting a ps5 pro. The games first 🙂

Indy - Love this game. Really hits that big adventure feeling I’ve missed since the last Uncharted and Tomb Raider games. Great story, great sense of exploration and discovery. Cant wait to play more!

Behemoth PSVR 2 - Im in the last part of the game I think. The third part of the game wasnt as good as the first two imo but its picking up again in the fourth part. Its still a bit buggy at times and controls could be a bit more precise, but its still very fun to play imo. Dual wielding and axe and a sword at the moment, both of which you can throw and retrieve Kratos style. Pretty awesome! But, I would still recommend waiting for some patches and probably a sale!

Ps5 pro - so, I got the ”perfect excuse” to get one as the kids have been playing on my old Ps4 which is now starting to give up it feels like. First I thought Id get them a ps5 slim but then I thought its not that much more for a pro and they can have my ps5. So everyone wins, right? 😁 I gotta say Im pretty happy with the pro and the improvements to the games thats got a pro patch, especially for the first party games. It looks amazing in performance pro mode 🤩
Now, I just need a better TV and it just so happens that we need a new one in the cabin… 😉

Unless something changes with MS strategy and they dont release all their games on other consoles in the future, I’ll be getting one. Otherwise its sort of pointless having an Xbox next gen.

Its been taking so long its getting a bit silly now, so really hope they get older CoDs on gamepass asap!

Mainly Indy on the Series S and Behemoth on the PS5. Both are very good games 😀

Yeah, its false advertising and pay to play day 1 is a new trend I really dont like so lets keep reminding everyone it sucks!

Saying its day one is a bit rich though, given it released last week if you paid extra for it.

That said, cant wait to play tonight

Mainly Behemoth on PSVR 2 which is very good, controls couls be a little better but other than that its really fun!

Also some Marvel Rivals, which I like and probably will keep playing.

Really looking forward to play Indy next week! As for the score, it just means this reviewer didnt like it as much as others (and many sites have scored it higher) which is fair enough and nothing to cry about! What would be the point of reviews on PureXbox of they gave all Xbox games a perfect score just because?

@BacklogBrad as a Series S owner, not sure I agree on games running great on the machine… some games sure, but some are almost unplayable. Hopefully theres something Xbox can learn from that when developing a handheld console.

Still prefer the Cyberpunk one but really looking forward to play Indy 🙂

Since dropping Stalker 2, waiting for it to be patched etc, Ive played Neva. It was awesome, from the same developer that made Gris. Of you liked Gris, you need to play Neva!

Also waiting for some games coming in december, Indy being one of them

Me personally isnt the biggest fan of FH 5 but I do think it would sell well on Playstation.

Seing some comments about FM being better than GT? You are entitled to your opinion but its hard to take that seriously… add VR to GT and its so much better its not even funny !

It was a good campaign so Im happy, nice to see that its well recieved over all. Would prefer to have sales reported instead of ”engagement” though, but guess with the game being on gamepass sales makes it seem a bit less successful!

Finished some great games since last week

HZD remaster - So I've finished and platinumed this awesome game again. Loved it 😃

CoD Blops 6 - finished the campaign and enjoyed it a lot. Very nice to have a good CoD campaign after the last few really ***** ones.

And I've started Stalker 2. Im a bit torn about this game. On one hand Im enjoying it and really like this kind of game and on the other hand its really rough. Playing on the Series S isnt helping... but it isnt just the technical and buggy side of things it also feels like the game wont last me very long since the story is already lost on me and it then becomes very repetetive playing the almost same things over and over. Still, will keep playing since there are some good parts but I might not keep playing for 40ish hours to finish it on its current state.

4/10 is pretty brutal, would give it a higher score myself but yeah, the game is far from perfect. The hours I´ve played have been fun but I can see myself run out of steam to keep playing as it feels like I´ve seen all there is pretty soon and then it´ll be just doing the same things over and over.

Theres also the not always great framerate and controls and what feels like lag to deal with on the S which makes it so, so much harder. One pack of normal dogs that attacker at night and bad weather cost me three full mags cause I couldnt hit ***** and I had to use almost all of my medical stuff 😂 so yeah, now I just run like crazy

Eh, these guys are fairly simple. Fighting a pack of dogs on the Series S is my new worst nightmare… 😱

All very valid points. Some of those issues I dont think will ever be fixed but hopefully some bugs and framerate issues can be sorted out.

Im still enjoying the game but not as much as I would if it was in a better state so you are def doing the smart thing by waiting, meanwhile Im doing some betatesting for you all

So, I’ve finished the prologue and performance on the Series S is a little choppy but no bugs yet, but I imagine there’ll be a few in a game like this which is ok as long as its not game breaking. The son plays on his Series X and performance seems fine, he went with quality mode though as performance mode wasnt really smooth apparently.

I’ll keep playing for a bit longer and if theres no bugs I’ll keep going otherwise I’ll just drop it and wait for patches!

Eh, I´ll bite the bullet and try it tonight on my series S anyway. Hopefully the worst of it is patched...

@Ricky-Spanish Its obvious, you get a Playstation to play Xbox games. Or Switch 2. Best option is a PC.

Given everything with a screen is an Xbox 8soon at least) this should not be a concern for anyone regardless if it happens and Sony should make the FS games exclusive, which I dont think they will.

As a Series S owner, if you want an Xbox get a Series X!!!

Max Mustard VR - finished and platinumed. Enjoyed it, even if its not perfect and really makes me want Astro in VR its worth checking out!

HZD remaster - Im really enjoying playing through this gorgeous game again. Love it! Still makes my jaw drop at times and I find myself just standing still and enjoying the views.

CoD Blops 6 - enjoying the campaign. As campaigns go its the best since the 2019 MW reboot but not as good as the old MW 1-3 or some of the other older campaigns imo. Still, maybe theres hope for future CoD campaigns 🙂

Well at least it’ll save me money not needing to buy xboxes in the future but its kind of sad to see the beginning of the end for Xbox consoles. Even if they release a next gen console, why would you buy it if Xbox will have no exclusives? Maybe if Gamepass isnt allowed on Playstation but then the cost for an Xbox console and gamepass is probably a lot higher over the lifespan of that console than just buying the Xbox games you want on a Playstation. Better yet if you have a PC, which Im considering strongly.

Just to balance things out in the comments section I played the game for a bit on Playstation until it got so boring doing all the walking I quit the game. The first hours were really cool and very Kojima but the gameplay mechanics just weren’t for me. Think its a very much love or hate kind of game!

HZD remaster - such a gorgeous game! So, turns out ng+ on an imported save messes some trophies up so started fresh which was annoying at first but it lets me enjoy it all again so now Im kind of happy about that 🙂 love spending time in this world!

CoD Blops 6 - playing the campaign, which Im enjoying. Best in many years! Doesnt run perfect on the Series S but good enough.

Max Mustard VR - about two thirds in, its not perfect but good fun!

Dont have the balls for the new Metro VR which looks awesome so kind of dissapointed in myself 😅

Nice that the game gets an Xbox release! Its really a hit or miss kind of game, I gave up after like 7 hours as the walking part got boring for me but if it clicks for you then you´re in for a treat!

When quick resume works its a very nice feature but when playing a game like Cod Blops 6 then its just bad. Wish developers could turn that off if it doesnt work with their game (maybe they can, I dont know...)

Dead Island 2 - finished the story ealier in the week but was having so much fun I decided to go for the platinum as I didnt have that much left anyway. Very fun game, very fun platinum 🙂

Max Mustard VR - still very fun, the camera isnt the best and the checkpoints can be a bit far apart but other than that its a good game 🙂

Horizon ZD remaster - love this game! Its a very nice upgrade and the game looks amazing. Been wanting to replay it for a long time so this is perfect for me 🙂

Currently on a family trip for a few days, Im surprised playing on my Portal is working as good as it is given we are far from home. Very happy with that 😃 Anyways, the games:

GRIS - finished and platinumed. Really enjoyed this game, or experience is perhaps a more fitting description as even though its a platformer of sorts its all about the journey, the amazing visuals, the soundtrack, the emoitions... I was late to this but very happy it dropped on plus so I got to play it, might have missed it otherwise!

Dead Island 2 - Im having a lot of fun with this game, and Im one or two missions from finishing the story. Sure, its not perfect and things like fighting four zombies that look exactly the same breaks the immersion totally but the game doesnt take it self to seriously so I can overlook things like that based on the most important thing for a game like this, its really fun!

Max Mustard PSVR2 Pretty much stumbled on this game and after watching a review on YT I got it. Glad I did, Im enjoying it a lot. It reminds me of playing Astro Bot Rescue Mission, but its not as good. Still, if we cant have Astro in VR (seriously Sony, shape the ***** up already) this will help fill the void!

Its not a great look. Makes me want to smash my Xbox and never give MS another dollar but its sadly the way big corpos work… its a sick amount of money though. Imagine all the laid off staff reading this news…

So, they basically comfirmed that both Gears and Halo will be released on Playstation within a year or two. Gotcha!

The Plucky Squire - Im finished and I got the platinum. Overall I enjoyed the game, especially the 3d parts and some fun puzzles but the pacing and over explaining of everything was not great. If we get a sequel I would love for them to improve those things!

Dead Island 2 - Figured I’d give this a fair shot. Its not Dying Light but its pretty fun so far. Will keep playing, at least until some big games start dropping by the end of the month.

Gris - Decided to try it, seems like it could be a nice experience but only just started it. I usually like these kinds of games so high hopes 🙂

I have high hopes for this game, it can be great from what I´ve read and watched so far. Looking forward to it

Astro Bot - Its done, and I got the platinum. I feel like everything has already been said about this game, simply amazing! The last challenge level took me some a couple of runs (many) but it made it even more satisfying when I made it and the last trophies poped 🤩

Termintor Resistance enhanced - also finished and platinum. Very good AA game, great Terminator feeling and nice tie ins with the first two movies.

the Plucky Squire - very nice and cosy game, especially in the 3D bits, but it has some gameplay mechanics and a pace that takes away from the other really good stuff. Still, enjoying it 🙂
