Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (January 17-18)

I'm playing Atomfall on XSX this weekend. Really enjoying it, although it is a bit quirky.

Typical Rebellion - tremendous attention to detail with buildings and the like. I even believe in the NPCs!

No idea what I am doing, but loving it anyway

Continuing my Ghost of Yotei playthrough,great sequel with loads to do , finding myself getting distracted by many different side ops and activities,helps that it looks amazing on PS5 pro.
Also playing Black Ops 7 MP neat little Fallout crossover event, reached Prestige 5 and im not slowing up yet

I’ve been playing a few different games this past week instead of focusing on one or two games. I think its mostly because I’ve already finished my current ”main” game and feel a need to switch things up a bit more… Anyway, the games:

Cyberpunk 2077 I’m now in Dogtown, and the Phantom Liberty dlc is really good imo. Love going from a story mission to doing some gigs to a nice date with Panam 😍 CD project har really added some nice small bits and things to do over the years. As I said last week, one of my favorite games ever!

Epic Mickey Rebrushed - Never played this back in the day, so didnt know what to expect. Its about good enough to keep me playing it but not that much more.

Subside PSVR2 - this is pretty good. Looks great, its immersive and fun. Great combo!

Pirates VR Jolly Roger - it was cheap, ok? All this talk about the Black Flag remake made me want to be a pirate again. This game does let me be a pirate sure, but its pretty bad so I’ll probably drop it and wait for Black Flag instead 😒

NHL 25 - visited a mate a while back and after some beers we always end up playing some NHL game and I got my ass kicked which usually doesnt happen so I’m secretly going to practice a bit until next time we meet and then I’ll crush him 😈

I raced 10 laps around Mount Panorama on Forza Motorsport today.

9 second penalty and didn't finish so well. But it was so fun.

As an Australian watching the great race for over 40 years this track is almost spiritual for me.

Fruit Ninja (Vita) - Had a hankering to play this lately, so I've been playing Zen mode for kicks.

Doodle Jump (Windows Phone) - Still ticking away on this as well.

Angry Birds Space (Windows Phone) - On the home stretch now it seems. Only a handful of levels to three star now.

On Series X i am still mostly playing Path of Exile 2 but I think I am about done after my current character is leveled up & into maps.

On PS5 I am playing some GT7. A friend encouraged me to buy the power pack dlc and i have to say I am quite enjoying it which surprised me a lot. I am a online multiplayer racer and almost never race ai in any game.

However the new iteration of the Sophy ai that comes with this pack is certainly a step above any ai I have raced before. It almost feels like racing real people with the way it will attack / defends the racing line and its position.

So while I still prefer online races the power pack dlc is better than I anticipated.

More KCD2 on Series X. I’m doing the Legacy of the Forge DLC. Basically, you must renovate an old forge and raise your standing as a master craftsman. There is quite a lot of forging, as you might imagine, but a lot of the commissions you receive from customers turn into entertaining side quests.

I sincerely encourage every player who has the slightest interest in Star Wars to try Outlaws. In my humble opinion, it is a very good game in itself, and an absolute must-play for any Star Wars fan.

The bashing it took back then was so unfair.

Plus, the game has received many, many patches since then, and runs absolutely flawless now.

Playing Fable 2 on Xbox. A little of Bloomtown too, amazing RPG so far.
And Need for Speed Most Wanted (2005) on my PS3.

After loving Remnant and then putting Remnant 2 at the very top of my greatest coop games of all time list, I'm finally getting around to playing the first game in the series Chronos: Before the Ashes. Hoping to finish it before Pathalogic 3 comes out next week.

@Bobobiwan agreed. It isn't the greatest game ever but it nails the Star Wars atmosphere, looks great and is fun to play. Definitely a case of one to try for oneself.

I'm going to finish off a co-op play through of Gears of War with a mate, who, despite being an Xbox man since the 360, has somehow never played a Gears game. Which has got to be pretty rare. Anyway, we're going to run through the whole series on Gamepass ready for the new one.

Also having a nice relaxing run through Child of Light. And I also downloaded Wolfenstein New Colossus as I haven't got around to playing it despite loving the series as a whole (including the 90s originals!).

Lots to play. And also enjoying painting some 40k miniatures with my son, despite my skills being not close to good enough to do the expensive little lumps of plastic justice.

Hello there fellow gamers;
This weekend I´ll be playing:

• Expedition 33 on my Series X. I´m finally in Act 3. The game´s story is weird and great at the same time, but I´m having a blast with it;
• Blasphemous 2 on my Switch 2. Still playing this one kinda slowly, but steadily advancing trough. Enjoying more than the first game, wich was already pretty good;
• Continuing my Platinum playtrough of Lords of the Fallen and Astrobot on my PS5. One more run for the third and canonical ending of LOF. Really good game after all the updates. And Astrobot is such a fun time every level.

Kingdom Come Deliverance 2. Have now racked up 75 hours, and I’m still in the first region of Trosky! Have now attended the wedding, and done the castle stuff afterwards (no spoilers here!). I’m actually getting quite good at combat now, with a little help from potions and perks lol. I think I’ll be entering the second map, Kuttenberg, soon. I friggin’ love this game!
Echoes of the End Bought this in the current Xbox sale. Never played the launch version, but what’s here now in the “enhanced edition” is pretty good. Nothing groundbreaking, but it has solid gameplay and some nice graphics.

@Bobobiwan I played it at launch and really enjoyed it. As you said, the game is in even better shape now after numerous updates, so will probably do a second playthrough at some point.

Continuing Dead Island 2, bought Steelrising in the sale, not normally a souls like fan, but looked interesting and so far it's pretty fun. Have a good weekend

Borderlands 4 mostly for me this weekend enjoying it a lot more than the 3rd game. Ive also got a bunch of other games that i started and haven't finished so maybe go back to one of them maybe Still Wakes the Deep or Tales from the Borderlands.

Continuing my first playthrough of Resident Evil 4 Remake. I played the original (well, when it got ported to xbox) a long time ago. The Remake is fantastic. It is also prepping for resident evil 9, as I have pretty much played every game in the series, even most or the spin offs.

Still on my Wolfenstein kick. I’m also very close to finishing Keeper.

@FatGuyInLilCoat - Heck yes man. I plan on Finishing RE4 next month. I’m ready. Requiem looks fantastic.

@Tasuki Echoes is a special game. I fell in love with it. My wife got it for my birthday last year.

I am trying to finish Psychonauts 2 (XSX) and Alone in the Dark (X360) but tempted by Star Wars outlaws now its on Game pass

Still Dwarf Survivors but also started Star Wars Outlaws and Keeper. All great in their own way. Way too many games at the moment as I would love to start Lost records and FF1 but no time…
