In a new interview leading up to Season 2 of the TV show, Bethesda legend Todd Howard was pressed about the likelihood of fans getting some Fallout remakes and remasters - and while somewhat reserved, the Bethesda Game Studios boss did have some interesting things to say about the team's plans.
When asked about this particular subject, Todd says that BGS is "working on a whole bunch of stuff", going on to explain how he prefers waiting until closer to the release to actually talk about these projects. It sounds as though he's a pretty big fan of the old shadow drop, folks.
You can listen to the short clip on this topic down below:
The interviewer does mention Fallout 3 and Fallout New Vegas here, and while Todd didn't refer back to those games specifically, we have heard other bits and pieces about them in recent years. A Fallout 3 remake was part of that massive Bethesda release schedule leak from a few years ago, and rumours of a revisit to the fan-favourite New Vegas have started gathering pace in recent times as well.
It's also worth remembering that this year's Oblivion Remastered was indeed a surprise release, despite the months and months of rumours on it leading up to launch. We'll have to wait and see if Bethesda has another one of those Oblivion-style shadow drops up its sleeve.
